Misc Love for departed Juggalos. Ronald Monastiere
Better known as Vinnie the ICP kid’s father in the Shockumentary, may this juggalo’s soul be in the eternal blissful peace of the afterlife.
Maybe he wouldn’t have called himself a juggalo, but he was the f’n man in the shockumentary. Driving his son’s juggalo crew to clown shows when the kids couldn’t drive themselves yet. That’s a f’ing father.
When the next generation of music hits, it always sounds bad to old ears. Grandpas in the 60s said the Beatles wasn’t real music and everybody should listen to Artie Shaw.
Did Ron Monastiere say ICP was bad and his son‘s friends all had to listen to the Beatles or Grateful Dead or whatever? No. Ron gave his son‘s crew a safe world to be free and enjoy music around Detroit in the 90s.
I grew up in that world too and the dads who drove us to run down parts of Flint and Detroit, let us enjoy the show and were there to pick us up when it was done… that had a major positive life impact. And it was a damn good time being a f’in kid.
And everybody knew a block away from all those shows people were getting stabbed shot robbed you name it.
But thanks to people like Ronald Monastiere, the youth could love the latest music and have a great time and stay safe.
So big bless to Ron Monastiere. And same to Vincent Monastiere and the extended family.
The older I get, whenever I see Shockumentary, the more I appreciate that ninja, and the dads who were there letting the kids be free and safe.
God bless you, Ron. May the afterlife be safe and thrilling and pure peace.
