⛱️ The Shore house 🏠 Made the pilgrimage today…

Wanted to add a second flair…”This post again”. 🤣

I was in the area today and decided to make a stop in Seaside Heights to check out the Jersey Shore house, Shore Store, boardwalk, and a few other familiar spots from the show.

A few observations:

First, I was honestly surprised by the condition of the house. It’s looking pretty rough these days, particularly the exterior. Everything is noticeably weathered, the porches appear to be bowing, and entire sections of railing are missing from the upper decks.

I don’t want this to come across as a personal criticism because Danny seems like a pretty chill guy, but I was a little surprised by the apparent lack of upkeep. When you’re charging people to tour the house and take a picture with the duck phone, you’d think maintaining the property would be a priority, especially given its significance to the show.

I would imagine that if the house were brought back up to decent standards, there would be no shortage of fans willing to rent it for a week during the summer. Seems like that could be considerably more profitable than charging for tours. Of course, I don’t know the whole story or what goes into maintaining the property, so that’s just my two cents. For all I know the interior could be like the Ritz Carlton (I declined the $10 tour, kind of regret it, kinda don’t 😆)

The Shore Store was cool. I didn’t get to meet Danny or anyone from the cast, but the guy and girl working there were genuinely friendly, and I enjoyed chatting with them for a bit. They also have some really creative merch featuring the cast. Quite a few of the designs gave me a good laugh.

Perhaps my biggest surprise was just how small Seaside actually is. I knew it wasn’t a particularly large place, but somehow the show made its entire little “universe” seem so much bigger and more expansive than it really is.

The boardwalk is only about a mile long, and everything is much closer together than I had imagined. Seeing it in person really put into perspective just how chaotic things must have been when the cast was filming there at the height of the show’s popularity, especially during peak summer season.

I’m sure the exposure was fantastic for many local businesses, but I can also understand how the production, crowds, and attention surrounding the cast could have become a major nuisance for residents.

Another thing that struck me was how few physical reminders of the show remain. Outside of the obvious merchandise shops and a handful of recognizable locations, there’s surprisingly little that would tell you just how much of a cultural phenomenon was filmed there. If you hadn’t watched the show, you’d probably walk right past most of those places without giving them a second thought.

All in all, I’m really glad I stopped. There’s something pretty cool about visiting places you’ve watched on television for years and suddenly seeing them right in front of you. It makes the whole thing feel a little more real, even if the reality is quite a bit different from how it appeared on screen.

As an added bonus, Seaside was hosting an Italian festival today, so I spent some time walking through that as well. It had a nice, traditional fall festival atmosphere and made for an enjoyable little detour.

Definitely a worthwhile stop!

[Discussion] My biggest JS questions…

Hi everyone!

Jersey shore is my comfort show and I’m always rewatching but there are questions I feel are left unanswered and I’d love to hear your thoughts.

  1. Have any of the guys come out and expressed regrets for how they treated women in the OG show?

  2. Why did they hide Roger coming out to Italy?

  3. Why did no producers step in when Ron literally destroyed all of Sam’s shit and almost laid hands on her?

  4. Ultimate question, has Nicole or Mike confirmed the Italy rumour…ever?

  5. Why did Mike give Angelina so much shit for sleeping with Vinny when seeing Jose but never gave a rats ass about Ron dogging Sammie?

  6. FINALLY, why was Sammie painted out as such a bad person for texting one guy broken up but yet Ron did all he did in Miami and no one called him out?

I’d love to hear any theories or conspiracy’s on any of the seasons.

P.s Roger if you’re reading this, fuck you. You know what you did.

[Question] Anyone else think Sammi came back for the money?

Hear me out here! I feel like she is the only sane one on the cast. It seems like she actually took the time away to work on herself to get past everything the OG series (Ron) put her through & did to her. She’s the only that doesn’t keep giving Angelina passes. She’s the only one that handles all the conflict with any sort of rational thought but it seems she has to put up with Angelina just for the show & she’s the least subtle about it. I feel like she had such a great life starting with Justin but fertility complications are expensive so I can totally understand her only coming back to be able to afford that without going into a crazy amount of debt. She also hid her proposal from the roommates & wanted it private. No one else did that. She didn’t seem to really want to be there. I feel like she only wanted the extra money for IFV but isn’t desperate for it to keep up the lifestyle like the rest of the roomies. Does that make ANY sense or am i being an obtuse asshole? Hahaha

Rant Am I the only one who is absolutely exhausted by Angelina’s constant victim mentality?

I genuinely cannot stand Angelina anymore. And before anyone comes for me, I understand that everyone goes through personal struggles, and I’m not trying to downplay whatever she has going on in her life. BUT at what point does she actually take accountability for her own actions?
I swear, it’s the same cycle over and over again. She starts drama, makes situations worse than they need to be, refuses to acknowledge her part in anything, and then somehow manages to turn herself into the victim. And when people finally get fed up with her behavior or try to hold her accountable, suddenly it’s “I’m going through so much right now” or “Nobody understands what I’m dealing with.”
Okay??? And???
Everyone has personal problems. Everyone goes through difficult times. That doesn’t mean you get a free pass to treat people however you want and then expect everyone to feel sorry for you when there are consequences.
What really gets me is how she seems to expect everyone else to understand her feelings, respect her struggles, and apologize when she’s upset, but she rarely seems willing to extend that same understanding to anyone else.
And don’t get me wrong, the other cast members aren’t perfect either. They’ve all had their moments. But I feel like Angelina is constantly involved in some kind of conflict, and somehow, according to her, she’s never the problem.
At some point, when you’re constantly having issues with practically everyone around you, maybe it’s time to consider that YOU might be contributing to the problem.
You can be struggling mentally or emotionally and still be responsible for how you treat other people. Two things can be true at once.
I’m genuinely curious if anyone else feels this way because watching the same cycle repeat itself is getting exhausting. I used to find the drama entertaining, but now it’s just frustrating.
Does anyone else feel like Angelina uses her personal struggles as a shield whenever she’s confronted about her behavior? I wish they would have never let her come back.

My husband is making me a Magic the Gathering deck with Jersey Shore (OG) quotes, characters, moments, etc. (he's the best ever). If y'all wouldn't mind dropping your favorites for me to add to the list I'd really appreciate it! I'll share the deck and gameplay when they're printed!

[Discussion] Psychic in JSFV 3:16

Watching the psychic visit the gang in season 3 episode 16 the day Mike gets out of jail and she was right about a few things but very wrong about Vinny finding the love of his life soon, Jenni and 24 not lasting long, and Angelina and Chris's relationship. Her talk with Ronnie outside also didn't seem to happen, since we see Jen is still at it and it didn't end for her.. Still.

Anyone know who she is? Gina's page or IG?

are any of the cast actually friends with her or is she kinda just for the show?

I can't see any of them actually liking her at all.

she is so unbearably toxic and awful.

it seems like the producers just told the cast to deal with her so the show would have drama 😭

(specifically talking about family vacation)

[News/Article] Angelina’s lawsuit

Currently watching jersey Shore Family Vacation, and I was just curious how much Angelina made as an EMT, so I googled it. Immediately it popped up that in 2020 she received $350,000 in sexual harassment lawsuit from the city New York. I don’t know why I find that very interesting and wonder if they’ll ever bring it up. (I’m on season 3 and I think it takes place in 2019???)

[Opinion] Constant flashbacks on family vacation

Why does every episode in family vacation have a flashback. It’ll be like the next scene and they flashback to a discussion that happened 10 minutes ago.

Like, I understand if it was from a previous season or from the OG series but it’s constant.

I feel like it gets a bit much tbh but also maybe cause I’m binging the show atm it feels like a lot.

[Personal] Rewatching out of boredom and Snooki’s and jwow were always gorgeous?

Basically, I remember growing up and people trashing all the members (especially Snooki) and how insane they all looked and how ugly she was. I’m watching as a 30 year old grown woman and I see nothing wrong with how she looks?

Like objectively I’m looking back and can’t see how anyone my age could hate on them. It’s just a bunch of people partying, being a lil too tan and wearing cheetah print. I guess I can see how they were a lil wild. I just can’t see how they got so much hate back in the day over what? Being s little crazy and tan?

And I mention how pretty they are because you can literally see how stunning Snooki and jwow. IMO it’s pretty easy to see past the lashes and hair and see they have pretty features. Idk I guess I’m trying to see what the shock was.
