How can get started in java
Hey everyone.
I am a computer science student, and I must start coding with Java.
I tried Eclipse and netbeans but none were valid on my machine.
so if someone has an alternate IDE I will much appreciated.

I tried Eclipse and netbeans but none were valid on my machine.
What does this actually mean?
Why not provide specs on the computer you're trying to use so people have relevant information to give you accurate recommendations?

What do you mean by "not valid"? What problems did you encounter?
If your machine can neither run Eclipse, nor Netbeans (which is actually fairly lightweight), the real IDEs might be too much for your machine.
Nonetheless: IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code (not the full Visual Studio). Worst case, you'll have to settle on a lightweight text editor, like Notepad++ but sacrifice a lot of what the real IDEs offer.

In eclipse I encountered an enormous amount of errors which blocked from even creating a class. In The installation of netbeans, i didn't find the ide program to start. And my machine is utterly fine. Nonetheless i appreciate your contribution.

Can you perhaps share a full screenshot of the IDE with the errors? Perhaps they are valid but you simply don't understand them.

These installers work for most people. Your machine or something about your setup is obviously not utterly fine.

My machine is fine means it is not from the seventies, something went wrong and i dont know what is it . So i just deleted the program i searched for a new.

hackerrank has a built in editor to practice java
intellij is the best java IDE.
vsCode is very lightweight and well integrated.
eclipse is preferred by many companies because they’ve built a lot of plugins over the years. there are also a thousand forks of eclipse for niche applications that barely look like eclipse.
netbeans was for people who hated eclipse before intellij was available.

IntelliJ: https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/ (IDE)
Temurin: https://adoptium.net/temurin (JDK)
You can use the Temurin JDK independent from the Eclipse IDE.

For NetBeans, you've to install JDK first, then download NetBeans. Also, NetBeans doesnt have installer, so just extract the zip file and run binary directly from there.

You could try intellij. Make a students account on jetbrains and start coding. Might want to watch a tutorial on how to use that tool

You should start using intellij Idea. It's informally the industry standard. The community edition is free.

Jetbrains IDEA / Android Studio is what you need for IDE. There is no better for Java.
