Hi, I'm the developer of PrettyScreen.

I wanted to make it easier to create iPhone wallpapers that feel designed for the device, rather than just putting a photo in the background.

A — Answer

PrettyScreen is an iPhone wallpaper maker that lets you personalize your screen with photo layouts, decorative elements, and wallpapers designed around your iPhone's unique screen shape.

You can decorate the Dynamic Island and notch, customize your lock screen, create matching couple wallpapers, add a monthly calendar, and automate wallpaper changes with iOS Shortcuts.

B — Better

Here are some features I'd love for you to try:

• Dynamic Island & notch decorations: Make the shape of your iPhone screen part of your wallpaper design.
• Lock screen decorations: Add decorative designs around the Camera and Flashlight controls on your lock screen.
• Center photo customization: Place your favorite photo in the center of your wallpaper and customize it with a variety of masks and styles.

Hi r/iosapps.

I'm a UX designer with a passion, and this is Proof, a workout tracker I've been building on nights and weekends for about 6 months. I'm posting because it's at the point where I need people using it more than I need to keep polishing it with a small group.

The problem. Most workout apps make you do the thinking. You walk up to the bar and scroll back through last week to find what you lifted, then guess whether to go heavier. The other kind buries you in charts and streaks you never look at. And more and more of them push a subscription before you've logged a single set.

What Proof does instead. You log and track a sets with one tap. The app remembers everything, so when you open a lift it already shows what you did last time and what to try today. After every workout it tells you plainly what moved, what held, and what to do next time. That's the whole idea. The rest is in service of it.

Why it's different.

• It tells you what to lift, not just what you lifted. Every suggestion comes from your own log: your last sets, your rep range, how hard it felt.
• Records are stamped when you earn them. A heavy warm-up or a one-off doesn't count, and the app says why.
• It finds patterns in your training and states them as counts, never scores. "Rest seems to help: 9 of 12 lifts after a day off set a record." If the evidence isn't there yet, it says nothing.
• A body map shows what you've actually trained, and compares the last four weeks with the four before, so a muscle you've been skipping is obvious.
• Balance puts the week your body had next to the week your log had: steps, active minutes, sleep and lifting on one grid, with one honest word on top. In balance, short on rest, off the plan. Read from Apple Health on your phone, never sent anywhere. Over time it learns things like "your records follow seven hours of sleep," and it only says so once it has the sessions to back it up.
• It's designed, not templated. One careful thing instead of a hundred half-built ones.

What's in it.

1. Logging

• One-tap set logging, with a rest timer that runs in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen
• Progression suggestions on every lift: the weight and reps to try today, from your own log
• Warm-ups and drop sets, logged as what they are and never counted as records
• An effort scale after each set, which feeds the next workout's suggestions
• Records registered as you earn them, with the app saying why
• Single-arm and single-leg tracking, notes on any lift
• Every session saved in full, editable later

2. Reading your training

• Session insights after every workout: what moved, what held, what to do next time
• Lift insights and lift details: the arc of each lift, your best sets, and one suggestion for next time
• Progression tuned to your goal: build muscle, get stronger, or stay in shape
• Progress overview, lift by lift and week by week
• Body heat map of what you've trained, with a compare of the last four weeks against the four before
• History with patterns found in your own log, stated as counts ("9 of 12 lifts after a day off set a record")
• Milestones: first plate, 100th workout, a year with the app, stamped as they happen
• Balance: steps, sleep, active minutes and lifting on one week grid, from Apple Health

3. Around it

• Apple Watch app, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Dynamic Island
• AI routine building, or bring your own; unlimited routines
• Import from Strong and Hevy, CSV export anytime
• 500+ exercises with hand-drawn lift illustrations
• A few skins (to match your tastes)

On price. Proof is 100% free. No account, no subscription, no ads, no "pro" tier hiding the good parts. Your data stays on your phone and exports as a CSV whenever you want it. I'm not trying to make money from it right now. I want to build a base of people who use it and tell me what's wrong with it. If that ever changes, I'll say so here first.

Happy to answer anything about how it works or how it was made. And if you try it and something feels off, tell me. That's the part I'm here for.

A. What it does

bond is a care log made specifically for senior dogs and dogs with chronic conditions. It is not a general health tracker for healthy dogs.

• Log a med with one tap, from the app or a home screen widget. Scheduled doses get reminders. “Only when needed” meds, like a rescue med, never nag you.
• Log seizures or incidents with structured fields: type, duration, severity and post-ictal behavior (how your dog is after a seizure).
• A dashboard with 30-day, 90-day and 1-year views, so you can see when incidents took place.
• Track your medication inventory, so you can avoid running out when the vet is closed.
• Views for nine conditions: epilepsy, anxiety, allergies, arthritis, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, IVDD and kidney disease.
• Add a caregiver (partner, family or sitter) so everyone logs to the same record, and track multiple dogs. Both are Plus features.
• A structured PDF report for vet visits (Plus).

It’s a record-keeping tool: not diagnostic, not an AI product, and not a replacement for your vet. iPhone only for now (Android is on the roadmap, no date). You sign in with Apple.

B. Why I built it, and why it’s better

Two years ago my dog Delon had his first seizure. We spent a couple of weeks hoping it was a one-off. Then came the epilepsy diagnosis, and a combination of meds (phenobarbital, potassium bromide, etc), plus bloodwork, vet visits and a notebook full of dates and durations.

I tried a notes app (lost in the scroll), a spreadsheet (I got bored of updating it) and a group text with my wife (it decayed in a week). Vet visits became a guessing game: what changed, when, and did it help?

I built bond for myself. After about six months of daily use it felt selfish to keep it private, so I widened it from epilepsy to nine conditions.

Alternatives I looked at:

• RVC Pet Epilepsy Tracker: epilepsy-specific.
• PetMed: Medication Tracker: supports as-needed schedules and PDF/CSV export. Its page doesn’t mention seizure logging.
• 11pets: general pet care.

bond is aimed at dogs with a chronic condition, where meds and incidents need to sit in one timeline.

C. Cost

Free to download. The free tier covers everything for one dog: core logging, condition views and 90 days of history. Plus is $2.99/month or $24.99/year (7-day trial on the yearly plan). It adds shared care with a partner or sitter, full history beyond 90 days, the vet report PDF, and multiple dogs.

Answer. Most astronomy apps begin with a map of the sky. I wanted something narrower: choose one thing, then have the phone physically point me toward it. That became Acolo, short for “A Compass in Space.”

Pick the Sun, Moon, a planet, a bright star, a constellation, Earth's Center, or a place on the map. A translucent 3D arrow points there even when the target is behind you or below the horizon. For a faraway place, it takes the direct line through the Earth. “Turn right” and “Tilt up” hints get you moving in the right direction, then haptic taps speed up as you line up and continue while you are on target.

It also shows the distance, degrees above or below the horizon, and a deliberately impractical travel time. The Sun is about 3,400 years away if you insist on walking.

Better. I do not think Acolo replaces Sky Guide or Stellarium Mobile. Those are full planetariums with rich sky maps and much larger catalogs. Acolo is the little one-target instrument I wanted beside them: no chart to read, no camera overlay to line up, just an arrow, direction hints, and haptics.

That narrower idea also goes somewhere a normal sky map does not. You can point at London through the ground, stand virtually on Mars and ask where Jupiter is, or stand at Sirius and point back toward the Sun. The Apple Watch app uses the top edge of the Watch as the pointer, and it can sync the current selection, saved places, and pins with the iPhone through iCloud.

Pointing calculations work offline. Apple Maps is used for map tiles and place search. There is no account or backend, and your location stays on your device.

Cost. Free to download. The Sun, Moon, and Earth's Center are free. Any optional one-time tip unlocks every planet, star, constellation, custom place, and alternate starting point permanently. The US tip choices are $0.99, $2.99, $4.99, $9.99, $19.99, and $99.99; every amount unlocks the same features. There is no subscription.

Requires iOS 26 or later.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6818701360

I also started r/AcoloApp for questions, feedback, and Acolo updates.

I’d especially like to hear whether the one-target approach feels usefully different from a full sky map-and whether its VoiceOver direction cues and haptics might help someone who prefers a simple pointer when finding a place on Earth or locating a planet in the sky. It isn’t turn-by-turn navigation.

Answer:

You have the same 5AM alarm every day.

You’d like to turn it off tomorrow -> Swipe left to skip.

You’d like to move it to 7AM 2 days from now -> Swipe left to edit and move.

You’d like it to ring quieter or ramp up slower than usual -> Swipe left to edit and change.

You wake up before the alarm rings -> Just dismiss from lock screen.

Without changing the series back afterwards.

You have 3 alarms for morning shifts and 3 other alarms for afternoon shifts but what date you work what shift can change on the fly.

-> Just group them into templates and enable when needed.

You have groups of alarms that start at different times on different dates, gym, prepare for a flight, multiple alarms 1 minute apart, etc.

-> Routine is what you need. All alarms shift according to start time.

Any alarms in templates and routines are modifiable.

You have events in your calendar but notifications are too quiet and cloud push ones cannot reach you when you turn off Internet

-> Calendar automation to set alarms according to events.

Built with AlarmKit so it rings through Silent and DnD. On iOS18, there is no AlarmKit so you’ll need to make sure it can ring via notification.

Adapts to different poses of iPhone Duo, with landscape layout on regular iPhone and iPad.

Better:

While every alarm apps tries to be as annoying as possible, this one tries to stay out of the way as best as possible.

But Challenge Wake can be activated to give your brain just the right amount of boredom and annoyance so you’d rather wake up than going back to bed by asking you to complete a few rounds of sorting challenge.

Cost:

Free users can use 1 routine, 1 template, 1 calendar automation rule, skip any alarm and look ahead 7 days.

I think $2.49/month is a fair price for an app that got a tool to handle a lot of situations. There are also annual sub and lifetime purchase.

A – Answer: what problem it solves

The average person is bound to spend almost a third of their life staring at a glass rectangle we call a phone, and short-form video is the main suspect. But the solution isn't to block all short form content as a whole. Short form isn't intrinsically bad. It can be funny, relatable, and genuinly useful sometimes. Whats truly bad is infinite feeds.

Scrolled makes any social media feed you want end after a set number of scrolls. For example, for instagram, you pick how many "scrolls" you want and after you exhaust your allowance the reels tab dissapears until tomorrow. DMs, stories and profiles and all the rest of the functional parts keep working.

It works similarly for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Reddit, X and Facebook.

How it works:

- Each app runs inside Scrolled, signed in to your own account on each site's own login page. There is no Scrolled account nor servers and I collect zero data and EVERYTHING stays on your phone.

- A thin bar at the top shows how many clips you have left today.

- Once the limit you set is reached you get an "All caught up" screen and the feed is blocked until the next day

- The actual apps are blocked using the screen time API. However if you need the real app for something quick, you can unlock it for 1-5 minutes then it becomes blocked again.

Some goodies:

- Toggles for no ads, no sponsored posts, no read reciepts, no story read reciepts, hold to copy caption, account switching, a filtered "who doesn't follow me back" list, and MUCH more.

- Need it stricter? There's hard mode, uninstall protection, adult website blocking + more.

- An option to replace the real apps icon with Scrolled's version so your thumb doesn't keep going to the blocked version.

- Block any other non-social media apps as well.

- Keep your notifications while blocking is on! (this was a challenge to implement)

B – Better: compared with named alternatives

- vs Apple's Screen Time limits: The obvious answer is they're super easy to dismiss. But those lock the whole app when time runs out, so you lose your DMs too and any other functional features of the app you're blocking. Scrolled only targets the root problem and ends the endless feed, and the rest of the app keeps working.

- vs app blockers like one sec or Opal: Similarly, they add friction or lock you out of the app. Scrolled lets you keep using the app and solves the root problem (infinite feeds) by just giving the feeds a bottom.

- vs SocialLite (Most similar) and others: These apps have taken a step in the right direction by not blocking the apps as a whole but still go too far by blocking reels/ shortform as a whole. This is uneccessary as short form is not intrinsically bad, infinite feeds are the problem.

C – Cost

- Free to download, but it needs a subscription (a free trial is available): $7.99 a month, $39.99 a year, or $59.99 once for lifetime.

For years, bedtime was the same loop. How was school? Fine.

One night I asked three different questions instead.

What did you try today?
What did you learn?
What did you do kind for someone?

Her answers were interesting and I finally started knowing her.

A. What problem does it solve?
Most family journaling apps are built for posting, likes, streaks, curated highlights. Kids start performing instead of reflecting. Sprout Diary is the opposite, a completely private family journal where the only audience is each other. Daily prompts geared toward child development help you track emotional growth over time, not just log events.

B. Why is it better? Everything stays on your device in your own iCloud. No accounts, no tracking, no data leaving the phone. No likes, no feeds, no performance anxiety. Over 20 templates built around developmental stages, from parent-scribe mode for toddlers to shared reflections for teens, photos with captions and comments, multiple family members, and beautifully formatted exports as PDF memory books or photo books.

C. What's the cost?
Normally $59 for a lifetime subscription.
Since we don't have any trust, ratings, etc, I'm offering it free for a limited time.

Hey r/iosapps !

We've been working on something called Mermaid, and we're finally excited to share it with you guys!

Problem :

Ever needed to get something done on your Mac while you're away? Remote desktop apps are great, but controlling everything from a tiny phone screen can be a pain.

That's why we built Mermaid.

Just text your Mac what you need from your iPhone, and Mermaid gets to work. Open apps, write documents, handle browser tasks, and more. Even when you're miles away.

Comparison :

Jump Desktop and Screens are great for remotely accessing your Mac, but you still have to do the clicking and typing yourself.

Mermaid works differently. Instead of manually controlling everything, you just tell it what you want done, and it handles the steps on your Mac.

You can still watch your screen live or take over manually whenever you want.

Pricing :

Free Beta : $0: Access to Mermaid with a limited AI usage allowance.

Paid Plans: Not currently available for purchase during beta.

Hey r/iosapps! I've been building trvld on the side and it just went live on the App Store.

You spin a 3D globe and tap the countries you've been to, and each one fills in with its flag. There are also layers for the 50 US states and all 63 national parks.

- Trips with dates, notes, photos and videos for each place

- Stats on how much of the world you've seen, by continent

- A share card of your globe

- No account, no ads, no tracking. Your map stays on your phone and syncs through your own iCloud

It's free. There's an optional one-time $4.99 upgrade (trvld Pro) for unlimited trips and the year-by-year timeline. No subscription.

Next on my list: marking places you've lived, plus cities and sights. Which would you actually use? Anything else you'd want on the globe?

Would love any feedback. Android is coming soon.

Bunchday is a calendar you share with your people. Your partner, your roommates, your family, the friend group that’s been “planning” the same trip since March. Everyone’s plans end up in one place, and the app does the asking for you.

Find a time without the group chat
Everyone shares when they’re busy. Not what they’re doing, unless they want to. Bunchday looks at the week and shows when you’re all free. Say you need two hours and it finds the first time that works. If people still can’t agree, send a vote.

Plans people actually answer
Send a plan and everyone taps Going, Maybe or Can’t. You can see who’s coming, where it is and who sent a heart. Running late? One tap and everyone waiting sees your ETA. Move the time and they see what changed. Add photos afterwards, and they come back on the same day next year.

Your day, including the gaps
Today puts your plans on a timeline and names the free time in between. An hour and a half at noon is a lunch window. You get a short hello each morning with what’s on, what’s due and when you’re free. Tap Plan my day and your to-dos fit themselves into the gaps. Plan my week does the same across the week, only in the hours you choose.

Every group in its own colour
The month view shows just you, you and your partner, your friends, your family or everyone at once. Pinch to zoom from six hours out to a whole year. Tell Bun how the day went and the month remembers it with a little face.

Everything you already use
Apple, Google and Outlook calendars show up on their own. So do Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, Schoology, Moodle and any calendar link. When a booking lands in Gmail or Outlook, Bunchday spots it and asks before adding it. Your email is read on your phone, never on a server, and you can see exactly what it read.

To-dos and lists that do some of the work
Type “call Dad tomorrow, urgent” and it lands on tomorrow, marked urgent. Paste a long message from your mum and get a list back. Split chores evenly so it isn’t always the same person doing the bins. There are sixteen kinds of list: groceries sorted by aisle, with a nudge when you walk into the shop, packing lists, recipes that scale and send their ingredients to the shopping list, and more. If you don’t feel like typing, hold the mic and say it.

Bun
Ask Bun what’s next, whether you’re free this afternoon, or what’s on the shopping list. Bun can add things for you too. It all runs on your phone, so your plans aren’t sent anywhere to answer a question. It also works with Siri and Shortcuts.

Everyone gets their own Bun. Pick a colour, then a hat, bow, headphones or crown, and your app icon can match.

A space for each group
Each group gets its own place for plans, to-dos, countdowns and files. Tickets and permission slips stay on your phone behind Face ID. Invite people with a link or a QR code; they don’t need an account.

The little things

• Countdowns for trips and birthdays (birthdays come back every year)
• Reminders when you arrive somewhere or leave
• A monthly recap of how many plans you made, how many hours you spent together and who you saw most
• Nine hand-painted widgets, plus Lock Screen, StandBy, Live Activities and Control Center
• Small sounds and haptics when you tick something off
• Works offline
• 17 languages

No ads, no feed, and your data isn’t sold.

Heres the beta: https://testflight.apple.com/join/mDGSWR3R

Would love some feedback!

A — What problem does it solve?

Hey everyone!

I take one medicine regularly, and I still manage to confuse myself about whether I’ve taken it. You’d think one would be easy enough to remember 😅

I wanted to be able to check my phone instead of trying to remember.

The reason I actually started building this, though, was my dog. He has type 1 diabetes and lost his vision due to cataracts. He has a few other health complications too, so there are quite a few medications to manage. The doses and schedules change frequently, and they’re not all measured in tablets.

That became Medo, a medicine reminder and tracker for iPhone.

You can use it for your own medicines, someone you’re looking after, or a pet. Reminders help with remembering when, and logging doses gives you something to check when you’re unsure what you’ve already taken.

B — Why is it different?

A lot of the work went into the awkward scheduling details I needed for my dog, while keeping the everyday stuff simple enough for my own one medicine.

Things like:

• Medicines taken every other day or at other intervals

• Different quantities at different times, with units like tablets, drops, and mL

• Reminders before, with, or after your saved meal times

• Tracking how much medicine is left and getting a heads-up when it’s running low

• Keeping separate profiles for yourself and others, without mixing everyone’s medicines together

There’s also dose history, so you can look back at what you’ve logged and even share pdf reports with doctors

C — Cost

✅ Free to download and use

The free version includes three active medicines, one care profile, basic reminders, and 30 days of history.

There’s an optional Medo Pro upgrade for unlimited medicines, multiple profiles, advanced schedules, full insights and reports, and Apple Watch support.

US prices:

💳 Weekly: $1.49
📆 Yearly: $24.99
♾️ Lifetime: $49.99, one-time purchase

I’d really like some honest feedback:

2. Is there anything annoying about your current way of keeping track?

3. If you try Medo, what feels confusing or missing?

Thanks for taking a look!

Hey [r/iosapps](r/iosapps)! I’m Mark, the developer of PaperNotes for iPhone and iPad.

A — Answer: Why keep writing on paper?

There’s something about a pen and a blank page that makes it easier to explore an idea. You can sketch, draw arrows, cross things out, and connect thoughts without choosing a tool or adjusting a layout. No notifications, no switching apps. Just space to think and free flow of your thoughts.

Paper Notes is built around keeping that freedom while making your notes easier to find, carry, and continue working on digitally.

Write in your regular notebook, then scan the page with your iPhone or iPad. The perfect hybrid approach.

B — Better: What makes it different?

Compared with saving a scanned page in Apple Notes, PaperNotes focuses on high-fidelity handwriting capture and editable digital ink.

The detail matters: fine pen strokes, small annotations, and the lines of a sketch should survive digitization. Paper Notes separates your ink from the page, removing the notebook’s grid or ruled lines while preserving the detail and character of your handwriting.

Your own marks become editable digital strokes. You can move a sketch, erase a handwritten section, or keep drawing with Apple Pencil.

The aim is to preserve how you expressed an idea: the handwriting, arrows, diagrams, and layout that give it meaning.

You also get searchable, copyable text, customizable notebooks, and iCloud sync. Offline processing is also available, but it reduces the scan quality and fidelity. The online neural network based approach delivers the best experience.

C — Cost

Free to download; access requires a subscription or lifetime purchase:
- Monthly subscription: 3,99$/month
- Lifetime access: 14,99$ now permanently at 8,99$ after your feedback.

PaperNotes on the app store

Do you still reach for paper when you need to think something through? I’d love to hear what you’d want preserved when bringing those pages into a digital notebook.

This is just a fun little project. We all use airdrop, pick a file - share - airdrop it. Works fine and feels like magic. But it has no UI. So I have made a Airdrop clone but with a nice UI inspired by continuity. Just drag a file from your iPhone or iPads straight into the mac and it just smoothly transfer through. The reverse also happens.

Problem: Airdrop works fine but has no UI and this feels smooth. it is not a must have, more like a nice to have.

Comparison: Other than airdrop, don't know any tool doing this.

Hi again r/iOSApps, I posted Selects in September, a lot of you tried it, and several of you told me what to fix. So this is a check-in and a progress update.

I know how this category looks from here: a new photo cleaner every week, a lot of them quick AI-built copies of each other with a weekly subscription bolted on. Selects is vibe-coded too, so I’m not pretending to be above it. But a month on, the numbers say people actually like it, and keep using it:

• 4.9 stars from 30 App Store ratings
• Nearly 200 people used it in the last 30 days, and together they cleared over 47,000 photos and videos (about 850 GB)
• Over 370 people have installed it since launch
• Nearly 1,500 videos were compressed instead of deleted
• Over 1 TB cleared since launch

The usage numbers come from anonymous stats, which anyone can switch off, so the real ones are a little higher.

So here’s the ask: what would make it the best app in the category, without ever charging for it?

A: What it solves

You shoot the same moment ten times to get one good photo, and all ten stay in your library. Selects does the boring first pass for you:

• Curate groups each photoshoot and picks the keepers: the sharpest, plus the one that is genuinely different.
• Tidy up sorts your whole library into lists by what takes space: large videos, exact copies, bursts, blurry shots, screenshots.
• Swipe, new in 2.0: one photo at a time, left to remove, right to keep.

Nothing is removed until you confirm, and whatever you remove sits in Recently Deleted for 30 days.

B: Why it’s better than the alternatives

What I’m aiming for is simple: the genuinely best experience in the category, not the longest feature list. In practice that means:

• It picks the best shot of each photoshoot for you. Most cleaners only hunt for duplicates or hand you a stack to swipe (Swipewipe and friends). The tools that do the picking well, Aftershoot and Narrative Select, are desktop apps with no iPhone version.
• No paywall screens and no trial countdown between you and your photos.
• It works a month at a time, so a library of 20,000 photos becomes something you can actually finish, and you see each month marked done.
• You can let it pick, or swipe and decide everything yourself, and switch whenever you like.
• Before compressing a video, it shows you a real preview, encoded from the hardest seconds of that video, so you judge the quality with your own eyes instead of trusting a percentage.

If you think another app does any of this better, tell me which one and why. That’s exactly what I want to improve.

C: Cost

Free, and it stays free. No subscription, no paywall, no ads. There’s an optional tip jar if you want to support it.

How it was vibe coded, and why I think it worked

I’m a product manager, not an iOS developer. I built Selects with Claude Code, and the AI wrote most of the code. What I did was the part the copies skip: deciding what the app should and shouldn’t do, testing it on my own library of nearly 18,000 photos, rewriting whatever felt wrong, and acting on the feedback this sub and others gave me in September. Several of the changes since came straight from those comments. My takeaway: the AI makes building cheap, so the difference is now in the judgment and the attention to detail.

What I’d love your feedback on

• What made you give up on a cleanup app before?
• Do you trust the app’s picks, or would you rather swipe and decide everything yourself?
• What’s still missing before you’d recommend it to a friend?

Who’s behind it

• Václav Trnka, LinkedIn
• Website: vaclavtrnka.cz/selects, with the privacy policy and terms
• Privacy: photo content never leaves your phone. The app sends anonymous usage stats (that’s how I know the numbers above), and you can switch them off in Settings.

Answer:
Snippie is the missing iOS app. I wanted to turn some of my videos into stickers.
So I built a quick low friction way to do it.
Select your video or live photo, press hold on the subject you want and it will magically turn it into a sticker you can use on your Messages or WhatsApp.
Add a caption, background, or outline.

No subscriptions! Just a one time fee to remove watermark.

Better:
iPhone doesn't make stickers out of videos only photos.

If you constantly save links, accumulate dozens of open tabs across multiple browsers (Safari, Chrome, Arc, Brave, Edge, etc.), or struggle to keep your research organized across your Apple ecosystem, TabLinker was built for you.

TabLinker is a clean tab manager and link organizer designed natively for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It lets you save links and entire browser sessions in seconds, keep them organized in clean folders, and find them again instantly on any of your devices.

Better:

TabLinker brings powerful organization and flexibility right to your mobile and desktop workflow:

Save From Anywhere

- Save open tabs using the Safari extension, or save links from any browser or app (Chrome, Arc, YouTube, etc.) via the Share Sheet with real page titles.

- Reopen saved folder tabs right from the extension or app.

- Paste a list of URLs or import bookmark files (JSON and HTML).

- Siri and Shortcuts actions to save links and create folders hands-free.

Stay Organized

- Flat folders with custom icons, colors, tags, and notes.

- Pin favorite tabs and folders for quick access.

- Search titles, URLs, tags, and notes.

- Select many links at once to move, delete, or refresh their titles.

- Links you have opened are marked automatically, with smart duplicate handling and a Recently Deleted folder keeping items safe for 30 days.

Mac Power Features & Everywhere Sync

- Private iCloud sync across iPhone, iPad, and Mac with zero accounts.

- On Mac, TabLinker imports tabs from 13 browsers (Safari, Chrome, Arc, Brave, Edge, Vivaldi, Opera, Opera GX, Dia, Yandex, Wavebox, Helium), restores whole windows, and features an Auto-Backup system that quietly backs up your open browser windows in the background (every 15, 30, or 60 mins, on app switch, or before sleep) so you can restore closed windows in one click, even the next day.

Export In Your Format

Export your links and sessions to JSON, HTML, Markdown, Plain Text, RTF, CSV, bullet lists, and your own templates.

Privacy First

No account, no ads, and no tracking. Your links sync securely through your own iCloud.

How it compares: Compared with Session Buddy (a Chrome-only extension limited to a single browser) and Tabs Saver for Safari ($17.99/year or $34.99 lifetime for Safari only), TabLinker captures sessions natively across all your installed browsers (Safari, Chrome, Arc, Brave, Edge, etc.) for a flat $17.99 one-time payment. It preserves full multi-window structures, includes native iPhone/iPad sync via iCloud, and has zero subscriptions.

Cost

TabLinker Pro is available for a one-time purchase of $17.99 with Universal Purchase (no subscriptions). Pay once on Mac or iPhone and get full premium access across all your Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, and Mac). Everything runs on-device and syncs through your own iCloud, with no accounts, no ads, and no external servers touching your tabs.

TripsCircle | I built a group trip planner because planning with friends was a pita

A: What problem does it solve?

The last group trip I planned for my birthday was way more complicated than it needed to be. We had conversations in group chats, no cohesion, and no easy way to keep everyone on the same page.

So I built TripsCircle, an iOS app (Android coming soon) designed to make planning trips with friends or family a lot easier. I recently made a big update and am proud to share it.

Some of the main features include:

• AI Trip Planning: Generate personalized itineraries, discover activities, and get recommendations for your trip.
• Group Collaboration: Invite friends to a trip so everyone can participate in planning.
• Group Chats: Keep conversations, photos, and trip discussions together instead of juggling different apps.
• Day-by-Day Itineraries: Organize activities and plans into an itinerary that's easy for everyone to follow.
• Destination Discovery: Explore destinations and find inspiration for your next trip.

B: How is it different?

There are already some great travel apps like Wanderlog and TripIt, but I wanted to focus more on the actual experience of planning a trip with other people.

Most of the frustration I've experienced wasn't necessarily figuring out where to go. It was getting everyone involved, keeping track of ideas, and turning those conversations into an actual plan.

TripsCircle brings the social side of planning together with AI assistance, so you can go from discussing ideas with friends to building an itinerary without constantly switching between apps.

C: Cost

Free to use, free to plan, pretty much everything's free. A premium tier offers AI planning (you get free uses of it without subscribing still), AI trip editing and packing lists, importing videos from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube etc that auto creates a plan, as well as a larger number of friends in one trip, and more photo storage attached to a trip.

Website: https://tripscircle.com

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tripscircle-group-trip-planner/id6761638015

I'm a solo developer and have been putting a lot of time into building this. There's still plenty I want to improve, and I'd genuinely appreciate feedback from anyone willing to try it out.

I'd especially love to hear what you think of the UI, the AI planning experience, and whether there's anything missing that would make planning a trip with friends easier.

Thanks for checking it out!

Hi, I'm Steve and I launched my first app, Piqt, a few months ago. I have now added trip detection and curation in the 1.1 release, so I'd love to hear from r/iosapps what you think!

Answer:

I have too many photos and videos on my phone. iCloud Photos has solved the storage problem, but nothing has solved the usability problem. Every 10 photo burst from when I handed someone the phone and said "Can you take a picture of us" is still there. Hundreds of photos from each vacation are still sitting there. I swear I'll sit down and just clean everything up, but an hour in, I've barely made a dent.

Every time I mention this problem to someone, they nod their head and agree. They have too many photos too. For some, it's too many screenshots. For some, it's the 5,000 pictures they took every month of their first child.

That's why I built Piqt. I wanted an app that would find my best photos, make them easy to highlight, while making cleaning out the rest easier.

Here's what Piqt does:

• Scores and Ranks all of your photos, screenshots, and videos across a tunable set of scores
• Finds Trips and Events in your library automatically, whether it was a huge vacation, a day trip away from home, or the party you threw at your house.
• Curate a Trip in minutes rather than hours with tools to make sure you don't miss any days or significant moments, while clearing out the rest.
• Favorite, Categorize, and Clean your library using Piqt's easy workflows.

Better:

There are plenty of apps that focus on saving space, but Piqt is about getting the most out of your library.

• Apple Photos groups trips and finds exact duplicates. iOS 27 added star ratings, but you still have to judge each photo individually and decide which are your best.
• Swipe apps (Slidebox, etc.) show you one photo at a time and you do all of the judging. Fine for 50 images, but tons of work for tens of thousands.
• Piqt scores everything on-device using local AI models and algorithms: Apple's aesthetic model, a technical quality model, a model trained on a quarter million human-rated photos, faces, location rarity, blur, and exposure.
• Private and secure by design. No account, no cloud, and Piqt never sends your images anywhere. Trip detection uses the location data already in the photos and place names from a bundled gazeteer. Every network egress is listed in the privacy policy.
• Safe for your library. Piqt can't delete anything on its own. Your cleared photos go into an album that you can delete in Apple Photos when and if you want to.

Cost

Piqt is freemium. Scanning, scoring, and browsing your whole library is free, so you can see pretty much everything the app does before purchasing. Piqt Plus unlocks the ability to save your changes back to photos.

Piqt Free: Scan, view scores, and browse for free forever.

Piqt Plus: Save your decisions back to Photos. Available in subscription or in-app purchase options

• $3.99 / month
• $29.99 / year
• $49.99 lifetime purchase
• $99.99 Founders (includes lifetime, roadmap influence, beta access, and knowing you helped out a solo dev ❤️ )

About Me

My name is Steve and I've been working in tech for years and have had tons of ideas, but never the time to build them. This year, I was able to take some time off and used it to build Piqt. This is a project I built mainly for me, but I've heard enough people say they have the same problem, so I went all in on releasing the app. This is my first app that I've brought fully to production and I've been really enjoying not only creating the app itself, but all of the marketing, content, and product management that goes along with it. You can find me in the comments answering questions and I'd love to hear your feedback.

Hi everyone, I'm the developer of Private I (x).

A few months ago I posted here about building a decoy-screen privacy app (previous post).

Since launch, I have been faced with the question: "What stops someone from turning off app lock or deleting the app altogether?”
Until recently, not much. iOS gave third-party apps no way to prevent that. iOS 26.4 changed it, and this update adds Tamper Lock.

A: Private I hides your apps without a lock screen. When someone else opens a protected app, they see a convincing crash or loading screen, with a different decoy per app if you like. Your face unlocks it instantly. Anyone else gets silently photographed and logged. New: with Tamper Lock on, Private I can't be turned off or deleted without your Screen Time code, even by someone who knows your iPhone passcode.

B: iOS's built-in app lock shows a visible lock and falls back to your passcode. Private I shows no lock at all, tells you who tried to get in, and now can't be quietly removed. Face recognition still runs entirely on-device with Apple's frameworks: no account, no third-party servers. Intruder captures can optionally back up to your iCloud.

C: Free with one protected app. Pro unlocks unlimited apps, all decoy styles, intruder capture, unlock history and Tamper Lock: $2.99/mo, $12.99/yr, or $49.99 lifetime.

Answer
Passports, insurance, warranties, subscriptions and licences all expire on different dates, and most of us find out too late. Kounts Due keeps them in one place and reminds you early enough to renew.

Scan, don't type. Use the camera, Photos, Files, pasted text or the Mail share sheet. On-device OCR suggests the expiry date, and you confirm it before saving.

Reminders with per-item lead times, plus follow-ups if goes overdue. The buttons are Mark renewed and Remind me tomorrow.

Dashboard and widgets. The dashboard shows what's due now, what's due within 90 days, and what's fine. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets and a Live Activity are included.

Renewal history. Marking an item renewed sets the next date and keeps the old scan.
Household. Group items by person, with optional iCloud sharing. Scans stay private unless you choose to share them.

Add to Calendar and JSON backup/restore.

Better
Calendar or Reminders: they hold a date but can't scan, keep your old scans, or group by person.
Spreadsheets: they don't remind you.
Subscription trackers: those are built for monthly bills. This is built for things that expire every few years, such as passports, warranties and insurance.

Cost
Free. No IAP, no subscription, no ads, no account. Requires iOS 26+.

Privacy: No tracking. Items stay on your iPhone, and iCloud sync is optional. OCR runs on-device. Apple Intelligence helps find dates where it's supported, with a non-AI fallback.

Limits: iOS schedules only the nearest 60 notifications, so open the app now and then. It's a memory aid, so confirm important dates with the issuer.
I'd like feedback on the scanning, especially documents it misreads.

What do you track that I haven't covered?

Hey folks!

I'm the indie developer behind Refrain.

I've been working on this app for a while, and I'd love to get it into the hands of people who actually connect with the idea. I'm especially interested in honest feedback before polishing things further.

A — Answer: What problem does it solve?

You know when you're reading a book and come across a sentence you really love? You take a photo, save another quote in Notes, maybe bookmark a few more… and before you know it, you've got a messy collection of passages scattered across different places, with no easy way to organize or find them again.

I wanted to bring all of that into one place, where everything feels organized, easy to find, and actually worth coming back to.

Refrain is a digital commonplace book; a personal collection of quotes, proverbs, and your own thoughts.

You can point your camera at a page and highlight a passage with your finger, capture something by voice, or simply write it down. Then you can add your own reflections, connect related quotes, and revisit them over time.

B — Better: How is it different?

There are great apps out there, like Readwise, but I find them pretty expensive for someone who just wants a well-organized place to keep their favorite passages and thoughts.

Readwise starts at $5.59/month for Lite and $9.99/month for Full (both billed annually). It's a powerful tool with features Refrain doesn't try to replicate, but I wanted to build something simpler, more focused, and much more affordable.

Refrain focuses on capturing words from your own reading, keeping your thoughts alongside them, and manually connecting ideas that resonate with each other.

I've also tried to keep the experience calm and simple, with an offline-first personal library and no account required to get started.

One thing I'd especially appreciate help with is localization.

Refrain supports 10 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, European Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

I'm sure there's room for improvement. I can't personally judge every translation, so feedback from native speakers would be incredibly valuable; whether it's an awkward phrase, a confusing button, or something that just doesn't sound natural.

C — Cost

Refrain has a permanent free tier with up to 50 saved entries, unlimited personal thoughts, basic quote connections, a daily quote, and a Home Screen widget.

There's also optional Premium with unlimited saved entries and connections, quote importing, more reminders, and an advanced widget.

My planned Premium pricing for the public release is:

• $2/month
• $12/year — equivalent to $1/month, billed annually
• $25 lifetime — one-time payment

The beta is completely free to try. I really want to keep Refrain accessible without requiring an expensive subscription just to organize your favorite words.

Try the beta: https://testflight.apple.com/join/xRAVhEXB

More than anything, I'd love to know what you think of the idea and how the app feels to use.

Does the experience make sense? Is anything confusing or unnecessary? Would you actually use something like this?

And if you notice bugs, awkward translations, weird interactions, or things you'd change completely, please tell me. That's exactly the feedback I'm looking for.

A little thank-you for early supporters: I'm planning to offer Lifetime Premium for $15 instead of $25 to the first 50 beta testers who reach out to me here on Reddit. The offer will be available when Refrain officially launches.

There's no need to leave a review or give positive feedback to qualify. I'd genuinely rather hear what doesn't work so I can make the app better.

Thanks to everyone who gives it a try. It really means a lot to me!

Disclosure: I'm the developer. EasyWhen is my app.

Price: $4.99, one-time purchase. No in-app purchases, no subscription, no ads. Purchase also gets you the Mac version.

What problem it solves

Typing dates and times into things is fiddly. You need "Tuesday, October 14, 3:00 PM PT / 6:00 PM ET", or an ISO 8601 timestamp for a log, or just need a quick reference, and you end up switching between a calendar, a world clock and an ad-laden website. EasyWhen does it in one screen. Pick or type a date and time, choose your zones and a format, then tap Copy or Share.

• Plain-language input: "next Tuesday 3pm", "in 30 minutes", "friday 5pm", "3pm to 5pm", "3 days ago"
• Several time zones at once, sorted earliest to latest. Star the zones you use and they become one-tap chips.
• Read times in any zone: type "3pm Tokyo" and 3 PM is read as Tokyo time
• About a dozen formats: Long, Medium, Short, Day of Week, Date Only, Time Only, ISO 8601, RFC 2822 and Unix timestamp, plus a Custom field that takes any DateFormatter / UTS #35 pattern
• Date ranges, with each end editable on its own
• Shortcuts / Siri / Action button: a Format Date action returns a formatted date in any zone to any shortcut
• iPad layout with a searchable time-zone sidebar
• 24-hour clock option, and a date-order setting (month first, day first, or your region's)
• Available in 11 languages

Why it beats the alternatives

• vs. the Clock app's World Clock: it shows you times but doesn't produce text. EasyWhen gives you a formatted string with every zone in it.
• vs. web converters (timeanddate, worldtimebuddy, etc.): those need a network connection and leave you to copy each piece by hand. EasyWhen works offline, understands natural language and has the format presets built in.
• vs. building your own Shortcut with Format Date: you can, but time zones and custom patterns get painful quickly. EasyWhen's Shortcuts action handles both.

Privacy: No account, no analytics, no tracking. The iPhone/iPad app makes no network connections at all. Everything is calculated on your device.

Cost: $4.99, one time.

Happy to answer questions, and feature requests are welcome.

I made Pawza, a petcare app, which had the major update on the App Store last weekend.

A. What it solves

A pet's health history ends up spread over vet PDFs, paper vaccine certificates and whoever remembers when the rabies booster is due. Then the vet asks which meds the dog is on and you're scrolling through your camera roll.

Pawza keeps it in one place. Take a photo of a vet document and the app reads it on the phone and fills in the vaccine, medication, weight and visit details for you to check before saving. Reminders come from those dates. Before an appointment you can export a PDF for the vet with current meds, vaccines, recent weights and the last week of care.

There's also a daily care log for walks, food, water, toilet and mood, and that's what the widgets are for. You log a walk or a meal from the Home Screen without opening the app, see a streak grid of the last six months, or check what's due next and tick it off right there. Siri, Shortcuts and the iOS 18 Control Center controls can log too.

B. Compared to a Notes folder and the clinic's app

* No account and no server of mine. The app has no networking code of its own. Data stays on the phone and syncs through your own iCloud if you turn it on.

* Scanning runs on device (Vision OCR, plus Apple Intelligence on supported iPhones). Nothing gets uploaded.

* 8 widgets (two of them iPad only) and Lock Screen widgets. Free on every tier.

* Multiple pets on Pro, each with its own records, reminders, weight chart and photo gallery.

* iPhone and iPad, one purchase. Translated into 50 languages.

C. Cost

Free: one pet, 10 document scans, 50 photos, reminders, weight tracking, care log and every widget.

Pawza Pro:

* $2.99 / month

* $19.99 / year

* $39.99 one time, lifetime (Family Sharing)

Monthly and yearly have a 7 day free trial. No ads, no tracking.

Feedback is more than welcomed.

Hi r/iosapps! I'm Volodymyr, a software engineer and dad of two. I recently launched Bedline, an iOS app I built to help people stop scrolling in bed and actually go to sleep.

This is my own app, so full disclosure: this is a self-promotion post.

A. What it solves

After a full day of work, family responsibilities, and putting the kids to bed, evenings are often the only time I have for myself.

Unfortunately, that's also when I tend to pick up my phone and start scrolling. What was supposed to be 10 minutes on Reddit or Instagram somehow becomes an hour, and the next morning I regret it.

I tried relying on Screen Time limits and self-discipline, but I wanted something that would automatically protect my bedtime without restricting my phone throughout the day.

That's why I built Bedline.

You choose your bedtime, wake-up time, and the apps that tend to keep you awake. When bedtime arrives, Bedline automatically blocks those apps using Apple's Screen Time framework until morning.

It also includes:

• Automatic bedtime blocking: Select specific apps, categories, or websites, with separate schedules for weekdays and weekends.
• Emergency unlocks: Temporarily access blocked apps when you genuinely need them, without immediately losing your progress.
• Live Activities and widgets: See your bedtime countdown directly on your Lock Screen or Home Screen.
• Apple Health integration: Compare your bedtime routine with recorded sleep and optionally save confirmed time in bed.
• Gentle progress tracking: Build a little constellation of successful nights instead of being punished for breaking a streak.
• Cozy animal companions: Choose a cat, dog, parrot, or hamster that follows your bedtime routine.

B. Why it's different

There are already established apps like Opal and one sec, and I think they're great options for managing screen time.

But I wanted to solve a narrower problem: the moment you know you should be sleeping, but can't convince yourself to put your phone down.

Rather than building another productivity dashboard, I focused on making bedtime feel like a small, positive daily ritual.

The entire interface has a warm, cozy aesthetic, with illustrated animal companions and gentle reminders. There's no pressure to maintain a perfect streak, and having one difficult night doesn't erase your previous progress.

I also wanted to make the app reasonably private. Your bedtime schedule, selected apps, and nightly records stay on your device. Bedline doesn't read your activity inside blocked apps or require an account. It uses pseudonymous analytics for app usage and purchases, but doesn't display ads.

C. Pricing and transparency

Bedline is free to download, with Premium required for app blocking for adults.

Current US pricing:

• Weekly: $1.99
• Monthly: $3.99
• Yearly: $17.99
• Lifetime: $34.99 (one-time purchase)

Subscriptions include a 7-day free trial for eligible new users. Prices vary by country.

Bedline is also completely free for users under 18, with age eligibility checked through Apple's age-range system.

Platform: iPhone, iOS 18 or later.

I launched Bedline recently, and I'm still learning a lot from how real people interact with it.

I'd genuinely appreciate feedback, especially on the design and whether the bedtime-only approach makes sense compared with more general screen-time blockers.

And I'm curious: if you've tried blocking apps before bedtime, what made you eventually disable the blocker or stop using it?

Thanks for taking a look!
