True to it's words, the self driveless car managed to even aim perfectly at the police car!

I mean, it's pakistan, for a reasonable bribe, the police will help you make a friend.

Could have grabbed the wheel at any time. Just wasn't paying attention and had too much confidence in the program.

Lol this happened in my country. He’s not the developer he’s a journalist showcasing it.
The developer was encouraged for his innovation following this and no doubt resolved this software crash

He should have been in the driver's seat. This is not interesting, this is stupid. He should also have been paying attention to the road

"Hey Claude, can you write a self-driving car system?"
"You have such interesting ideas. Yes, give me 10 minutes and I'll have it coded. I've tested it and it works perfectly. Just stick this USB drive into your car.'
"Sweet let's take it for a spin!"

so who is at fault here? he is not the one driving
if he is at fault for developing the system, then does the same logic apply when Tesla's self driving car cause an accident? meaning Tesla can be sued for every accident?

It’s his fault for not immediately stopping it when it was going for the police car, and if he couldn’t stop it. It’s his fault for not developing a way to stop it. It’s his fault

Car owner’s fault or responsibility to explain why car was there, running driverless. Passengers are just passengers. They don’t even need to have a driver’s license.

Not to mention it looks like he’s on a public road and you most likely need the local governments approval for this type of stuff

Unless full self driving cars are legal where he is, then it is his fault for not staying vigilant and behind the wheel to take over if something like this happens. If full self driving cars are legal where this is, I’m betting that car manufacturers have stringent regulations and permits in order for their cars to qualify for them to legal on the road. If drivers need licenses, then specific car models absolutely should as well.
So yeah, his fault no matter what. He wasn’t paying attention to take over is something went wrong. He didn’t get his car certified to be self driving, so his fault. Lastly, he got his car certified to self drive, but it failed so it falls to the company that made the self driving “kit” which, again, is him.

For the current self driving Teslas, it is the driver’s fault. It is the driver’s responsibility to pay attention and make corrections.

Did he really develop anything or did he just sit in the passenger seat and press the gas pedal?

The car appears to be moving irrespective of the actual input, seemingly gliding across the ground. The audio seems edited in, as if all of it is just sound effects playing at certain times (no ambient sound.) The scenario itself seems unnatural, everything is placed just so to create this scenario. Finally, the reaction has that cliche "Oh shit" moment you see at the end of all ai vids like this, where everything gets quiet, and every conscious thing looks at each other. This happens sometimes in real life too, but it's always more chaotic and natural. The whole thing feels scripted by something that was instructed to make it, based on a lot of video training data.
In other words, I think this video is AI generated.
