🚨 Now every week!!! From now on EVERY Thursday, Branden Willis and Alex Zee's comedy open mic at Rocket City Dog Bar, "The Updog Comedy Open Mic" is on! We'll have Shenanigans Comedy Theatre tickets to give away and plenty of spots to get onstage, so mark your calendars! Sign-up at 6:30pm, show starts at 7pm!

For the first time in a long time, I'm asking for a favor.

A couple of years ago, I told a friend that if the opportunity ever came along, I'd love to film his comedy special. That friend is one of the hardest-working comedians I know. While most people only see the time he's on stage, they don't see the hundreds of days each year he spends on the road, driving across the Southeast, performing night after night, chasing a dream that most people would have given up on long ago.

Like many creative projects, this one faced its share of setbacks. We heard "it can't be done" more than once. We were told no. We hit roadblocks. But we kept moving forward.

Now it's finally happening.

This isn't just another comedy show. It's a real, live comedy special being professionally filmed. It's an opportunity to capture something special, and to showcase not only an incredibly talented comedian, but also what our creative community can accomplish when people come together.

It also features local Huntsville talent including: SiFi and Hope Rangel.

BUT,

Here's where you come in.

A comedy special isn't complete without an audience. Every laugh, every reaction, every moment of shared joy becomes part of the finished production. Your energy doesn't just fill the room—it becomes part of the film forever.

So if you've ever wanted to see how a comedy special is made, or if you simply believe in supporting local artists, filmmakers, and live entertainment, we'd love to have you there.

Come laugh with us. Come be part of something bigger than just another night out.

Let's show what this community can do when it gets behind people who are willing to chase their dreams.
