In Winter 2013 Hopsin came to my city for a tour he was doing with Dizzy. I bought VIP meet & greet and was pretty excited to meet him, it was my first Hip Hop show, I was young and uncultured. My ticket said "doors at 8:00pm" but I didn't read the fine print on the 'meet and greet' part, so when I got there 7:55pm, the bouncer checks his watch and he's like "dude you probably missed it". It was so embarrassing I couldn't keep my shit together...

I got inside late and completely lost my confidence. Not even my XXXL G-Unit jersey, 2pac printed v-neck, red jordans, and baggy Jort fit could keep my spirits up. First thing I see is DJ Hoppa behind the merch table, with Hopsin standing at the end of the table looking like he was ready to head out. Every other meet-and-greeter were surrounding Dizzy on the other end of the room taking pictures and chatting.

I look over to Hop whos staring at the foor and I say "oh Hey Hopsin? How's it g-g-going?" He's like "nothing much man just chillin" as his body language starts backing away from me, and looks like he is ready to head out.

I practiced a few meet and greet lines before hand, so in desperation to at least be original- I managed to muster up "why didn't you bring Bubbles"? he looked at me chuckled briefly, and turned around to go backstage...

I started feeling even more anxious, so I turned to DJ Hoppa and said "heeEEEeey..." in a really cracked voice, and he smiled and nodded at me.

I didn't even get to turn 180 to look back at Dizzy before he is moving parallel to me walking passed. He had a stoned grin that I can only describe as a 'Cheshire Cat'. on his face, he nods at me and walks past me.

The 3 of them head out and I try to mingle with the crowd pretending that I don't care if I arrived late, didn't get a picture, or to meet and greet. I felt so disappointed in myself I didn't even get to enjoy the concert.
