cassiopeia (to the right, upside down lol) almost always sleeps in this little container of moss and edible flowers on the side of the tank during the day, but tonight hyperion was in there too lol. hottest spot in town

i have a 29 gallon tank and 3 hermit crabs, 2 of them hide most of the time and barely come out, i’m kinda just asking for tips on what to do to make it better for them / wondering why they won’t come out.

Help! Im having heating issues. I have a 29 gal tank with glass lid and 2 heating pads with thermostats. They are having issues staying at temp. Ive been using an electrical fireplace to warm the room because i had just 1 mat and now even with the second mat its not helping. Its 4 ft away from a window so is that it? Do tanks need to be insulated? Idk what to do im struggling to keep temp up. It sticks at 77-78 and then will drop to 75 and sometimes a tad under. I have an app so im monitoring it. But its having issues retainging heat. Our upstairs is usually 70-73ish. I cant close the door as our cats has a litter box and foor in there. Any suggestions???? My mats are an Ipower 8x18in 24 wat and a 10-20 gal reptitherm. I really wanna make it work with them so i dont have to pay more money for a different heat mat 😭😭

1 of my 2 crabs just came back up from molting. Should i clean the extra shells in the tank? i boiled them in salt water when i first put them in a month ago

I inherited/rescued 2 hermit crabs from a family member. They came back from the beach with them in a mesh crab cage and thought they could live there forever. I took them and made them a place to live. I’ve been doing good so far but I know they need more shells. Where can I find a good but not overpriced place to get more shells. I have pictures of them in their current shells with a measuring tape to get advice in the post.

I need the best camera for my enclosure for my hermit crabs quick. I have constant wifi access just don't know what to get any suggestions
