I'm just so over work lately
Idk, I’ve just been feeling really frustrated with work lately. It’s not even one particular thing, just a bunch of little things that have been building up.
Sometimes I feel like no matter how hard I try, I still end up feeling like I’m not doing enough. And I hate how easily one small interaction can ruin my whole mood lol.
I actually enjoy working, which is the funny part. I like being busy and having things to do, but lately I just don’t feel good about where I am.
I’ve thought about leaving, but obviously it’s not that simple. Bills exist unfortunately lol.
Anyway, idk. Maybe I’m just having one of those weeks. Just needed to complain somewhere because keeping everything to myself is getting exhausting.

I hate the job I have been doing since I left school but it is the only thing I know how to do.
I could change fields but this would mean a lower salary since I would need to start from the bottom. The saddest part is that it is not what I did in school. I thought it was interesting at first but after 10+ years, I have grown to hate it so much. There is no joy left here and I am just depressed. I wish I could just farm, or learn woodworking/metal working or something not soul crushing. I do understand that I am fantasising something I am not familiar with in a grass greener kind of way.

Do you think quitting a job you hate can actually improve your mental health?
Body: I’ve been thinking about quitting my job lately. It’s draining me mentally, and I feel like it’s affecting my mood and overall happiness. I’m just tired of feeling this way every day. Do you think quitting a job that makes you miserable can genuinely change your mental health for the better?

Mental health tanking over new job.
I work in infrastructure and ops and security, and it's been hell. I just joined 3 months ago and every 3rd week you have to be on call 24/7 no shifts just 24/7 duties.
On top of that the colleagues are a "show and tell one time and never again" type of people. They don't like being asked questions and these are critical systems so I can't play around to learn per se. It's been a hell of a struggle , lost sleep. I've been drinking to cope with the stress. The team only has 4 people including me , but they gatekeep their knowledge or only share amongst the cliquey of the 3 of them. I feel confused and unsure how to proceed. Like if it doesn't affect my work then sure but it does and if I can't perform my job then what am I there for. Feeling horrendous at the thought of staying even a month.
My manager echoes my concerns saying " yeah this team has a lot of politics" but doesn't do anything to mitigate that. I dont understand why people won't help and then expect you to pick up everything as though I've been here for years. Please do you guys have any advice on how to navigate this situation.

Does anyone else feel like they really can’t get out?
I’m in a bad set up where I am temporarily living with my parents because health and other things and rapid cost of living in a metropolitan area skyrocketed. I’m trying to save for my own place. I feel like I’m not in a spot where I can just “go for it” and leave and see what happens, or take a gamble on a job with less security and a massive pay cut.
I told myself sometimes that there’s a version where I can get out if I have my own place, but I’m losing faith.

I got kicked out
I don't even know where to begin. Should I laugh or cry . I always knew I want to quit from my current job . I don't like nursing, neither the workplace. I had the plan to quit after 3 months , completing full 2 yrs . I was staying at my grandfather's place, just me and him . He's a complete narcissist and controlling, I knew that so I didn't went anywhere, just work and home . Idk what happened today but it was my night off so I came home for Durga Puja and planned to return tomorrow night and attend work the next day but he told my mum he won't keep me at his place anymore so go away . Then called my maternal grandmother ( where i came after work) and told her never to return, neither to work or his house and neither to stay in the hostel.
Now the workplace is not my father's property. I told my incharge and he told i HAVE to serve one month notice period. I always figure things out , i always do somehow but I don't know where to go tomorrow. I can cook barely but I have no stove , no utensils, no clothes, no work clothes and all my certificate and papers are at his house. And i have to attend to work too . I don't know what happened, ik there's some internal things and i understand those but in the middle of the month during Durga Puja was this really necessary? I don't think it was fair .
Life really changes suddenly out of nowhere.

Hired for My Experience, Treated Like an Idiot, and Now Possibly Automated Out of a Job.
Sorry for the long rant. I just need to get this out…
I’ve got over 25 years of experience in my field and have been with my current employer for almost two years. I’ve never experienced this level of dysfunction or disrespect.
I was hired for my experience, yet every attempt to improve something gets shut down. My manager micromanages, builds a negative narrative with upper management (And that’s not just with me he does it to everyone) questions my whereabouts, and seems more interested in protecting his territory than actually improving anything.
Then there’s the GM, who has been dismissive, condescending, and downright disrespectful. I’ve had my work called horrible, been made to feel incompetent, and even overheard a comment about not hiring older people (ironically he’s like 10 years older than me 🤦🏻♂️). It’s gotten to the point where I second-guess everything I do.
Now they’re pushing AI automation, including the very processes I manage. These people can’t even get their existing systems, data, or procedures straight, yet somehow think they’re going to automate the operation.
I’ve developed reporting tools, carrier performance scorecards, and process improvements, only to watch much of that work get sidelined.
That said, I genuinely can’t tell whether they’re deliberately pushing me out or if leadership is just that incompetent. Either way, I feel like I’m being set up to fail.
The stress has taken a serious toll on my physical and mental health. I dread going in every morning, wondering whether today will be my last day.
I’m not against automation. I’m against being treated like I’m disposable by people who don’t even understand the processes they’re trying to replace.
Anyone else dealing with this kind of bullshit?
TL;DR: 25+ years of experience, almost two years at a dysfunctional company where management undermines my work, the GM treats me like an idiot, and now they’re pursuing AI automation of my responsibilities. Can’t tell if I’m being pushed out or if leadership is just incompetent. Either way, the stress is destroying me.

What to do ,if nothing is worth it
I am a 22 years old guy who works in corporate as a civil engineer .Just working for 3-4 months i feel corporate is just slavery which i can't do for longer time,it eats up soul, make coward, its not worth doing. Also i observe with experience comes money buy also comes responsibility and you have to give more time and energy.I can't give my 9 hours to slavery which would increase with repsonsiblity. So i want to quit the corporate want to do some freelancing work where i have control over how much i earn and i much time i gona invest.
But when i see online every profession is called not worth it.I searched graphic designing, digital marketing, instagram theme pages ,people say its not worth it.Then what to do ,if someone not like this corporate slavery .

I'm in the middle of my second consecutive Leave of Absence to stay away from my job
I've been there for 25 years and I've had it. I BS'd with my first LOA which gave me a few months off (and avoiding stupid all staff meetings) Now I had a second approved which takes me to the new year. I'm seriously considering not coming back, but in the meantime I'm enjoying this.

Tampoco me siento acompañada.
(Me debería liquidar medio mes).
Ayuda. Necesito experiencias similares o consejos.

Don't know what to do
My job is literally destroying my mental health. It has reached the point where I experience horrific breakdowns and have to take time off. Luckily for me I am not the only one who has fallen sick but it isnt something I can do long term anymore.
We work alternative shift patterns and have very rigid breaks to the point they would make use work back the time we would use the toilet. I had a bit of a fall out with my team leader so was stripped off all admin duties and forced strictly to take calls. After speaking to OH I was referred to a psychriatrist and diagnosed with PTSD who provided adjusments but they refuse to make them long term since we are so short on staff. People keep backstabbing each other and I dont feel I can progress at all in anyway, cause I am unable to make any routine. I apply for other jobs but always end up so burnt out by the end of the day. My relationships dont tend to last cause of the impact it has on me. I am tempted to just quit at this stage, but I am paranoid over money and dont know when Ill find new employment. I also have 0 family here and am pretty much on my own.

How do you deal with burn out and push through?
I am losing my mind. I’m a university student in my final year doing an internship placement where I work for ‼️FREE‼️ I’ve been working for the past 6 years, full time over the summer and then part time during school. Sometimes if I was in a tight financial spot I had to work multiple jobs at the same time. Over the past summer I had 3 jobs and was working 80+ hours and 7 days a week.
I’m going to graduate and just go to another useless and meaning less job. I will work for the next 40 years - if I’m lucky. I hate corporate and office culture. I don’t hate one specific job — I’ve worked in every imaginable field so I already know I hate WORKING.
I’m burnt out to hell and back. It won’t get better because the rest of my life is going to be spent being another meaningless cog in the machine.
How do you guys push through and deal with hating life because we’re stuck in this garbage fucking system that only functions to keep like 20 people in the world rich
