First of all, I’d like to give credit to icemage56 because I was somewhat inspired by their game ‘Drunk, Stoned or Stupid’ for this post
Mr Hanako-kun has been accused of behaving like a pervert in public and also of stealing doughnuts
You must choose which side to take
In the comments, you must provide me with evidence that either exonerates or incriminates the defendant (you don’t necessarily have to tell the truth, but you must be very convincing)
Based on how many likes your comment receives, I will decide Hanako-kun’s fate
And if you like, feel free to suggest in the comments what the other characters might have been accused of
Even at the beginning when all my friends were sure it was Tsukasa and they wouldn’t believe me—but I always believed!
Also, on a more interesting note, I was also right about how the Clock Keepers take the souls of their victims. The piece of Amane’s soul within the Cat is the piece that contains his memory of changing the timeline, which is why Hanako doesn’t remember any of it.
It’s very rare for me to actually get a theory right, so I’m happy all around ^^
First, about Nene. I did expect her to somehow “sacrifice” herself to save the day, but seeing it actually happen still made my heart sink. She looks so determined omg. I'm happy to see how much she's grown as a character, but I'm really worried about her right now…
Now that she's actually asking the Clock Keepers for help, does that mean she'll also lose part of her soul? And based on what happened to Amane, does that mean she'll lose all her memories of the new timeline too?
On one side, that might actually be a good thing because she'll be able to forget all the traumatic events she's been through, which would be better for her mental health.
But on the other side, she'll also lose all the character development she's gained along the way. As traumatic as her experiences have been, they've also been an important part of her character arc. They've shaped who she is and how she's grown throughout the story. So, the idea of her losing all her memories of this journey doesn't sit right with me at all. I really hope there's another way to resolve this without taking away everything she's gained along the way.
-------------------------------------
The only bright side of this chapter is that we finally got answers to two mysteries.
First, we finally know the identity of the black cat! Although, I’m not that surprised since there have been so many hints about him being a cat all this time.
The second major revelation is about how Amane lost his memories. However, there's still a question that needs to be answered here. The thing is, the one we know for sure has lost his memories is actually Amane/Hanako from the original timeline. So, if the Clock Keepers really are the reason Hanako doesn't remember anything, does that mean that original timeline Amane also successfully traveled back to the past?
A manga panel from Chapter 101
-------------------------------------
Anyway, I feel so bad for Amane in this chapter…. 😭
At first, I thought, “Oh, it's only a part of his soul being taken, so what's so bad about that?” But when Kako explained the whole thing about his memories being taken away, it finally hit me just how messed up this situation actually is.
I know Amane willingly entered the contract, but the deal itself was SO unfair to him.
The Clock Keepers didn't send Amane back in time out of some genuine desire to help him. They had their own hidden agenda from the very beginning. They sent him there because they wanted to use him as their scapegoat to deal with the Entity. And Amane unknowingly ended up becoming their convenient little “problem solver” by having the Entity sealed inside him.
After deliberately manipulating that boy, knowing VERY WELL that their decision had destroyed his future, they STILL had the audacity to take a part of his soul….
That's so fucked up.
Amane was not the one who changed the future. THE CLOCK KEEPERS were the ones who caused the change by allowing him to use the Big Clock. THEY were the ones who started this whole mess. They saw a desperate boy who wanted nothing more than to save his brother, and they took full advantage of that desperation. They used his desperation to pull him into their own scheme, and after getting what they wanted out of him, they STILL made him pay the price for it.
They act as though Amane owed them something. But in reality, THEY were the ones who owed Amane his life back. Because of their own selfish goals, Amane has lost a part of himself and his freedom by becoming the Entity's slave. It's practically the same as having his "soul" taken away, and all of this happened because of the Clock Keepers' intervention. And yet, they STILL wanted to take even more from him. Talk about greedy.....
Okay, I know we can still argue that the Clock Keepers told Amane about the price beforehand, and Amane agreed to it anyway. And yes, I will admit that Amane made a huge mistake by entering that contract without fully considering the risks and the consequences.
But that STILL doesn't change the fact that the Clock Keepers deliberately went back to 1968 with the full intention of USING him.
They tricked and deceived that desperate boy.
Because if they genuinely had no intention of deceiving him, why didn't they warn Amane about the Entity inside his house? They knew what they were trying to accomplish, and they knew the role they wanted him to play. Yet they allowed him to enter this situation without telling him something so fundamentally important. Why?
They also never clearly explained to Amane what "taking a part of his soul" actually meant.
If someone offers you a deal while deliberately withholding crucial information about what you're getting yourself into, can you really say that you were given a fair choice in the first place?
A contract doesn't suddenly become fair just because the other person technically agreed to it. If the person offering the deal deliberately conceals information that could change the other person's decision, then that's still a form of deception.
And that's what makes me so upset about this whole thing. What makes it even worse is when Nene said, “That's awful...”, Kako actually had the nerve to respond with, “We've done nothing to deserve your censure.”
WELL, AREN'T YOU SHAMELESS??? YOU ABSOLUTELY DESERVE ALL THE CENSURE AND CRITICISM FOR USING A POWERLESS HUMAN BOY TO DEAL WITH A LITERAL GOD THAT YOU YOURSELVES COULDN'T HANDLE.
I've never really been this upset with them before, but now I am…. Even Mirai is getting on my nerves. Her cuteness is not saving her this time.
-------------------------------------
Another thing I want to ramble about is Kako's explanation that the Entity is “sealed” inside Amane.
That's a very interesting choice of words because… what do you mean it's SEALED?
Didn't the Entity still manage to cause chaos throughout the school? It was able to let the little Tsukasa ghost roam around, possess students, and make them go missing. It also sent that “envelope” to Kou and Mitsuba to lure them into the Red House, which ultimately led to their deaths. And Adult Amane, who supposedly has the Entity “sealed” inside him, is the one spreading the rumors about the “Tsukasa-kun Game.” So clearly, the Entity's influence can still reach the school and affect what's happening there.
What part of that is supposed to be "sealed"? As far as I can see, that damn thing is not sealed at all.
-------------------------------------
On another note, this chapter also confirms that the Entity has been with Tsukasa all this time throughout the main story.
Actually, this was already strongly hinted at in Chapter 112, when Kako pointed out that the Entity was the root of the problem. But I think this new chapter adds more weight to the idea that Tsukasa continued to serve as its vessel until his death.
Now that we finally know the Entity has been with Tsukasa this whole time, I really want to make a comprehensive post analyzing his behavior and mindset throughout the main story.
I've seen quite a few people argue that the Entity had no influence on Tsukasa at all, and that his violent and heartless behavior was entirely his own. But I actually want to argue the opposite. I've always believed that he was corrupted by the Entity to some extent, and this chapter has made me even more interested in exploring that possibility.
Of course, that's a whole discussion in itself, so I think I'll save it for another post rather than making this one even longer than it already is.
-------------------------------------
Anyway, I don't know if anyone will actually read through all this rambling haha, but if you did, what do you think about the new chapter? These are just my personal thoughts, and I might have misunderstood certain things or gotten some parts wrong, so I'd love to hear everyone's interpretations! Maybe you can even change my mind on some things haha
Akane is so goddamn sure that the Clock Keepers’ goal is to erase Tsukasa (spook 116). Because of the fact he is one of them, I mistakenly assumed his confidence was because he actually knew that whatever they did involved Tsukasa being erased. As it turns out, Tsukasa being erased was never their goddamn goal. Their goal was for Amane to succeed in saving his brother. I have other problems with the latest chapter too alongside my problems with the chapter before it, but this is the biggest one.
Nene Yashiro: Listens to musical soundtracks Plays Gacha games Uses the /hanakokun subreddit
Hanako: Has a gambling addiction Still asks to see the cockpit
Kou Minamoto: Terrible Listener Takes their food way too seriously The person you want on your side during a zombie apocalypse
Mitsuba Sousuke: Would be the first to die in a horror movie Can and will complain about anything Inserts themselves in every conversation Gets competitive over anything Would marry themselves Will shame you for going to sleep Never gets embarrassed
Teru Minamoto: Has the worst taste in fashion The person you want on your side during a zombie apocalypse
Tiara Minamoto: Still believes in Santa Claus
Tsukasa Yugi: Always promises to pay you back later, but never does Will fall asleep in your couch Always comes up with the dumbest ideas Skips dialogue and cutscenes
I feel like Tsukasa has been one of the few characters that I've seen on a series where, despite him being cute and have a child-like appearance, he absolutely terrifies me. Not because he's necessarily conventionally "scary", but his unpredictability, straightforwardness and psychopathic methods make me feel on the edge of my seat every time. Though for some reason, I can't help but to feel drawn to him... He's such an interesting character!
I tried to capture his cuteness + the uneasiness I feel about him. I also took inspiration from the manga style! c: It was really fun to do, and I'm excited to keep practicing this manga style with other characters!
As explained before, "Drunk, Stoned or Stupid" is a board game where a group of friends draws cards that describe a person and votes on who among them fits the description the most.
For example, a card could say "listens to musical soundtracks," and then one person needs to be chosen who fits it the best. That person gets a point, and you play until one person has gathered 7 points. That person loses, so there are no winners in this game, just one loser.
The rules are as follows:
Present one or more characters and also explain your reasoning
Upvote the answers you like
Feel free to argue for/against everyone's cases. Make the conversations colorful xD
By the end, I will calculate the votes by adding all the comments that voted for a character and the upvotes.
So:
- 2 comments with 10 upvotes each = 20 Votes
- 10 comments with 2 upvotes each = 20 votes
At the same time, feel free to write down your own categories, and the one with the most votes will be the category for the next round. The rules for voting for a category are the same as the rules for a character in any round.

this was really hard to do at some points but also very easy at other times, the reason is i couldn’t decide on my favorite character design i was torn between Nene, Aoi, and a couple others but eventually as you know i decided on Shijima. i was also torn between what is my favorite mystery because i like all of them and their backstories so i went with the Pit god because i think he counts(??), i was also torn on minor characters because i have a few who are minor and i didn’t know who to pick so i went with Mirai, i was torn on characters i relate to because i relate to Nene, Aoi, Kou, Tsukasa. i was also confused on who i’d be friends with as i want to be friends with Akane, Nene, Aoi, Hanako/Amane and Mitsuba but realistically if i knew them irl i’d likely never interact with any of them because i hate interacting with people, all the other categories were very easy and i stand by all of my decisions.
