Hi all know this isn't typical for this sub, but I am looking into creating a HAM study group for folks preparing for a license test or just want to brush up! I hope to create a supportive group all together so feel free to fill out the interest form down below or ask me any questions!

I’m new here and planning to become certified for CERT / local emergency response team purposes. If you or someone you know has any leads on free or low-cost HT, would you please let me know?

Based on the advice from the link below, I am hoping that a single band, 2 meter radio would be a good starting point. I’m open to other suggestions - I’m very new to this. Thanks!

So we're in the process of getting a all youth arc up and running but funds are killing us we'd be happy with any equipment ke8ody 73

I have the IC9700 but want the HF bands from the IC7300 sister ship. If anyone is wanting to sell, i'm open to an offer. If cash+trade is an option, I might be willing to let go of a Kenwood TH-D74, a Yaesu FT-3DR, or possibly an iCOM ID5100 mobile.

Vintage variable capacitor which can be used to tune into am fm and pa bands.

WCS-D880 Data by RT Systems with the horrible software (or you can use Chirp).

You cover USPS flat rate envelope or small box.

I really want to learn CW and I figured I'd join cwacademy.

One of the requirements is a paddle. When I looked them up online, they all seem to cost $50-$70 :/

Would anyone have an extra paddle they're willing to part with? I'll even pay for shipping

Thank you so much

Anything would be appreciated, and if it’s broken I’ll try my hand at fixing it. thank you!!! (NC)

I need a 12v 12ah-20ah rechargeable for a mobile radio I'm trying to set up, and that's the most expensive part. I would really appreciate any help! I would also really appreciate any Anderson Power Poles but I need the battery more. Thank you! (I'm in California, USA)

It looks like the Kenwood TM271 I've been using as a APRS igate/digipeater is not doing well.

Does anybody have a line on an a 45-watt Motorola Maxtrac that I can reprogram and put into service?

There are lots on ebay in the $40 range, but it's difficult to tell what you're getting and so many of them are "untested."

Thanks, Gary KI5GRD.

I'm going out on a limb and asking if anyone has any mobile transceivers they're willing to give up. Honestly would take non-mobile too.

(I got my license about a week ago, I've been using a Baofeng UV-5R but I'm looking for an upgrade)

RADIO FOUND!

I have been using cheap cw kits to get me on HF due to lack of funds. I thought I might check on here if anyone had any old HF radios they were willing to part with. I am able to repair as well so being damaged isn't an issue.

Cheers

Does anyone have anything somewhat mobile I can use for HF don't care if it's one band multiband really couldn't care less, I have a radio at home but there's so much rfi where i live that i can't use it and it's driving me nuts not getting on HF. Honestly it can even be broken I have friends who can help me fix stuff I just can't afford anything for the foreseeable future.

I just passed my extra exam, so I have no further need for the textbook. I originally got it from /r/hamitforward, my only request is to keep it going.

Hey Everyone, Possibly moving in the spring and need to get rid of parts of my shack. In the imgur picture is what you will get. Tons of resistors, project box, arduino ect. Not looking to break things up, so this will go as a package. If you have a specific need for a component, I can look to see and ship to you as well.

I was given this a few years ago by a nice gentleman when he heard I was looking for a function generator as a college student. I don't need it any longer, so I'd like to continue to pass it along for free. I only ask you pay for shipping and take it if you really need it.

ARRL sent me this on accident and told me to keep it. Turns out I already have a copy so now it's yours!

Just passed mine, get yours!

The ARRL shipped this to me on accident and told me to keep it. Plus I'm already an extra. Plus, it's expired as of June 30, 2016. The fourth edition has been published along with the new question pool.

It's still mostly good for the Extra exam except for the changes made to the extra pool after June 30, 2016. If it doesn't take up too much time, I'll add an addendum that addresses the changes.

South florida aria. No shipping. Must come and pick up.

I have 3 10' sections and an 8' taped top.

Tower is on its side must be taken apart.

Free to good home.
