Hackathon Promotion I'm organizing a USD5,000 AI hackathon. What would make you actually join?
I'm an AI engineer, and I've always loved hackathons. There's something about getting a bunch of cracked builders together and seeing what they can ship in a short time.
I'm currently organizing a global AI hackathon this November (ONLINE!), and honestly, I wanted to hear from people who actually participate in these things that are all across the globe I know opinion of my country what i want this to be like olympics of hackathon.
We've already had 100+ teams register in the first day, and we're trying to make this more than just another hackathon where you build something, submit it, and never touch it again lol. We have done a similar feat the largest student run hack in india with over 13000 regs .
This time Here's what we're putting together:
- A $5,000 prize pool, along with Amazon gift cards for winning teams.
- API credits and resources to help people build.
- Technologies like Tavily and Bifrost for anyone interested in AI agents, automations, and LLM applications.
- Interviews with selected teams to showcase their projects across our socials, reaching 30K+ people (minimum btw)
The last part is something I'm particularly interested in. If you're already building a startup or have a side project, why not use the hackathon to improve it, get some feedback, and potentially find your first few users?
You could build anything from a useful AI automation to a completely unhinged multi-agent system that somehow works.
Here's the event if anyone wants to check it out:
But I'm genuinely curious, what actually makes you join a hackathon?
Is it the prize money, free credits, meeting other builders, getting exposure for your project, or something else entirely?
Would love to hear what people think. We're still shaping parts of the experience, so your suggestions could actually make it into the event.
