Compensation and 1911s in 10mm

I have a 10mm 1911 and thinking of getting a bushing comp for it. I know they don’t do much for 45, but how do they preform with 10mm running full spec ammo. 180gr @ 1200fps

Looking for a sub $100 compensator.

I am testing an experiment on a gun I just bought for $400 on how good of a competition gun you can make out of a cheap pistol and cheap accessories and how well it does. I am trying to find a compensator that is not too expensive. I know about the radian ramjets, but that is more than I want to spend on this experiment. Please send me your recommendations. I have seen the PSA compensator and the armaspec rook micro compensator but if you know of any others that are under $100 would be greatly appreciated thanks.

380 conversion for the g19 question

Has anyone tried an aftermarket 380 conversion kit for the g19 or its clones? If so how did it work? Can I slap a g25 slide on a g19 clone frame and run 380 out of it? Also is it worth it to do this for a range toy?

Sbr and aow

I heard about the October 9, 2026, federal change regarding SBRs and AOWs no longer requiring certain forms or registration. I live in Arizona and want to clarify what is now legal under the new rules.
Pistol stocks: Can I legally put a stock on an AR-style pistol, a Draco, or a Glock 19 under the new federal rules, assuming Arizona law allows it?
Vertical foregrips on pistols: Can I put a vertical foregrip on a Glock 19 or an AR-style pistol without a stock or brace, or does the firearm need to be configured as an SBR first?
AOW classification: Does the October 9 change eliminate the federal approval and registration requirements for these configurations, or are there still restrictions I need to know about?

Possibly damaged the action or stock

CVA Cascade .308

Rifle was punching horrible groups and very inconsistent. After a little while, I found 1 action screw very loose. Took everything apart and did a super thorough cleaning including scope, rings, base. Currently I’m getting 5” groups at 50 yards. Everything feels solid, torqued to specs. Is it possible the damage has been done to the action or stock? I’m looking into getting pillar sleeves. How do I find the correct size?

So I currently own the PSA m16a4 clone and I was wanting to do a 37mm launcher build with it and I desperately want to get the m203 heat shield handguard however as this would be my first AR platform rifle I’m a bit clueless on what exactly im needing to purchase I was doing a little research and despite having that massive 20 inch barrel I keep getting the same answer that I need to get a 12 inch heatshield but to me it doesn’t make sense because of the barrel length I haven’t actually measured the space between the carry handle and the front post sight if you know what I mean but is my research correct and I will need to get the 12 inch to fit my m16? Any m16 or cloner fanatics please lend me some of your thoughts and knowledge :)

"Under ATF’s guidance, ATF will not enforce the requirements for individuals to apply and receive ATF approval before making or transferring short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, suppressors (silencers), and certain other concealable firearms known in the law as “any other weapons.”

Buissness

Hello,
I am 18 years old and am considering starting a commercial gold-plating/refinishing business in Arizona.
My proposed service would be limited to receiving a customer’s firearm slide, gold-plating/refinishing the slide, and returning the same slide to the customer. I would not manufacture, sell, or transfer firearms, and I would not work on or take possession of the firearm’s serialized frame/receiver.
Could you please clarify:
Does this specific type of commercial gold-plating/refinishing service require a Federal Firearms License (FFL)?
If an FFL is required, what type of FFL would be required?
Can an 18-year-old legally own the business while a qualifying 21+ person serves as the FFL holder/responsible person?
Are there any additional federal requirements that would apply when customers ship their slides to the business for refinishing and the slides are subsequently returned to the same customers?

Am I the only one?

Am I the only one who does not like the M9 because it does not have a full complete slide and you cannot see the chamber as easily as you can with something like a 1911, 2011, glock, or a sig? I was on a different sub Reddit. and I said that personally I do not like the M9 for these reasons. and at least one person acted like I had just send something bad about their mom. So please tell me, am I the only one who doesn’t like the M9 for these reasons? I like the ability to know without looking where the chamber is, where I can place my hand to rack the slide or clear a jam without having to do extra training in order to know where I can place my hands.

Hi guys new here, I have a question

So Im super interested in guns, been in love with them since birth but I dont have one yet, I was thinking of asking whats the best first pistol to get, should I go with glock or something else, just for the love of the game and self defence, Id probably be at the range too 24/7, what would you suggest me? For the record I dont know that much about guns to be honest, I saw some walther PDP F series pistols at the shop which looked cool but dont know which first pistol to get. Thanks in advance!
