Ever get that feeling when you realize you're about to complete a good season of your life and you get a twinge of sadness? I'm feeling that hard right now as I realize I'm getting close to finishing my GWAMM.

I made a post four months ago (https://www.reddit.com/r/GuildWars/comments/1u5qxw2/whats_my_best_path_to_gwamm/) about starting the GWAMM journey. I decided I was going to complete it fairly casually - just get the Zaishen bonus/vanquish done each day and chip away at it.

I realized today that this is my last week of Zaishen vanquishes. Once I complete Ice Floes on the 29th, I'll have finished every vanquish.

I had such a chill daily routine of grabbing my morning coffee and getting the vanquish done before work. It's a very soothing part of the day that I've really come to enjoy - check the wiki for potential elite skills to capture, grab the zaishen quest, get it done while sipping my coffee. It's been a part of my routine for four months now, and realizing that it's coming to an end in a few days is really saddening actually.

Did anyone else get this when their GWAMM journey was almost over? I still have about 40% of the elite skills left to cap, carto to finish off (done Elona, 99% on Cantha, 96% on Tyria) and then just the consumable titles which I have the money for ready to go. Once I'm done GWAMM I have other goals (do all the quests, get all the non-elite skills, etc), but it's the end of this particular journey.

I don't really know how to describe it. It's like the final day of a vacation you really enjoyed, knowing you have to go to the airport in the morning and having this tiny pit in your stomach that you are still enjoying it now, but it'll be over soon.

Up close in a more zoomed in third person the world is way more immersive, some of the monster design is genuinely creepy like seeing a group of insects patrolling in elona amongst the trees.

I wish the camera locked to your movement a bit better like action cam style.

It's Halloween, the wiki is down and I can't remember which quests I have to complete to do skele farming.

i thought I'd share a Toolbox feature that some people might not be familiar with yet, and which I personally find pretty fun

Toolbox has a transmog function that allows you to transform into other NPCs and characters. Of course, it's only visible on your end, so it's mostly just a little gimmick, but I think there's actually quite a bit you can do with it. Especially for people making Guild Wars lore videos, machinima, screenshots, roleplaying or just creating their own little scenes in the game. Or simply running around as some random NPC for no reason

I always enjoy seeing what people come up with to keep this old game alive, and I think this is one of those little features that could be useful for that

The easiest way is to target any NPC you see and type /transmo. You'll then take on that character's appearance. You can also use /transmoparty to transform your entire party into your appearance.

But there's also another option that I personally find even more interesting:

You can transform into any character whose model IDs you have saved, regardless of whether that character is currently present on your map or in your mission.

I actually suggested this function to the Toolbox developers a while ago, and they ended up implementing it, which I really appreciate. Thanks!!

Here's how it works:

Go to Toolbox → Settings -> Info → Target → Advanced Options

Target the character you want to transform into and note down these four values:

• NPC_ID
• Model_File_ID
• Model_ID
• Flags

The last three are displayed in hexadecimal, so you'll need to convert them to decimal. I usually just use ChatGPT for that because it's easier.

For example:

8337 0x227F5 0x22A97 0x20C

Becomes:

8337 141301 141975 524

You can then use the following command:

/transmo model 8337 141301 141975 524

And now you're that character, wherever you are in the game.

Of course, you need to have encountered the NPC at least once to get its model information, unless someone else has already shared the code.

I personally just keep a simple text document on my desktop with all the codes I've collected, so whenever I want to use a particular model, I just copy and paste the command into the game.

It's admittedly a bit clunky, but I think it's a fun little feature, especially considering how many interesting NPCs and character models Guild Wars has.

I also thought it might be nice to start collecting and sharing some of these codes here. That way, people wouldn't have to look up every character themselves, and maybe someone can put them to good use in a video or some other creative project.

I'll list a few codes below that you can copy directly into the game.

If anyone has collected some interesting NPCs, bosses or other character models, feel free to share them in the comments. Maybe we can build up a small collection over time :)

As many of you know, due to a PhP vulnerability, Wikis around the world are offline, including ours, so we're posting today's release notes directly to reddit.

• The Guise of the Wayward costume is now available for purchase, just in time for Mad King's Day! This is the first completely new art asset we've shipped using our new asset pipeline. The old asset pipeline was based on 3DS Max and was completely non-functional.
• The in-game store UI has been simplified and now has more categories which makes for easier browsing.
• Fixed an issue where bundles held by players would sometimes not drop when the player teleported.
• Joystick movement has been improved.
  • Movement gets canceled unexpectedly less frequently.
  • This impacts virtual joysticks on mobile and physical joysticks on gamepads on Steam Deck.
  • Mouse and keyboard movement and targeting are unchanged.

Edit: There was a hotfix later in the day to fix the Dervish rendering of Guise of the Wayward costume.

Hello all, hope all is well.

I’ve downloaded GW on iOS, and as soon as I try and create a character I get hit with the 007 error, on WiFi and mobile data.

I quit the game and waited 5 minutes, got into the next screen which is the campaign selection screen and get hit with the same error.

Any ideas? Thank you.

I'm trying to decide on which profession I want to do LDoA on. I'm leaning towards a caster, however.

I know elementalist is the easiest primary, but I'm not sure how much I would want to play as elementalist beyond pre-searing after I get the title. Mesmer seems interesting, but I'm not sure how good they are outside of dungeon boss cheese.

How do I fix this? I've filled my inventory then emptied it and tried that, I relogged, I completely emptied it and still get this message

Since wiki is down and this is my first Halloween…
When I have enough skellies for survivor - how do I properly turn those in?
Do I need to split 3 at a time and keep rest in bank to avoid spending stack on one quest submission?
Or there are no bugs like this?

I'm curious about something that probably affects quite a few longtime GW1 players.

Back in the day, some players passed their accounts on to friends when they quit the game. Years later, those friends may have played on the accounts for much longer than the original owners, without ever knowing the original registration details.

With 2FA and account verification requirements, this raises an interesting question:

Has anyone had experience with ArenaNet's handling of these old, voluntarily transferred accounts?

I'm particularly interested in whether support has ever considered long-term account usage or other account-specific information when the original registration details were unavailable.

I understand that account transfers are against the Terms of Service. I'm not looking for help with a specific support ticket, just curious about people's experiences and how these situations have been handled over the years.

Does anybody know when and why Guild Wars Prophecies postponed the acquisition of several spells you could acquire towards the beginning of the game?

I've just seen a Regorged Mode level 12 elementalist character that has several Earth skills I don't have in either of my level 18 elementalists (one is Reforged whereas the other is not; the Reforged one is secondary elementalist whereas the other is primary elementalist) and I definitely tried to do every single quest so far and probably did with both.

What's more, his character doesn't have several Air, Fire and Water Magic skills I do have, and the player claims he had them so our theory is that he didn't lose the Earth ones because he had them equipped in the skill bar.

The Earth ones he says he either got them in quests or in the Post-Searing Courthouse's skill trainer.

I can't buy from any skill trader up to Lion's Arch included either of those Earth spells he has and I don't.

Had to use Wayback Machine to compile this. Since ArenaNet in the official Guild Wars discord confirmed that the wikis will be down for about a week (due to Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2 using old PHP version and the recent PHP vulnerability discovery, RIP. So no backlog info for about 3-7 days), I've complied a list of daily activities until the end of the Halloween event for convenience. I've also listed this week's and next week's Nicholas the Traveler's collector items and his location for convenience. Also credit to the German Guild Wars wiki that is still running for the high definition maps.

A few tips for daily activity efficiency during Halloween event:

• Since the best way to farm Trick or Treat Bags is through doing the Every Bit Helps repeatable quest in the Underworld (which involves capturing 3 Skeleton dimwits), you might as well pick up the Charged Blackness Zaishen Bounty on Sunday as well. Unlike the Bladed Aaxtae bounty we had a few days ago, this one is actually a lot easier to do.
• Next Monday (10/26) involves Rotscale Zaishen Bounty. If I remember correctly, one of the main Halloween quests involve going to Rotscale's place, so you might as well kill this dude in Hard Mode (also don't forget to vanquish the area, Majesty's Rest, where Rotscale is, it's basically two birds in one stone and a quick vanquish to boot). EDIT: For very efficient vanquish, just clear out most of the eastern area, then complete the vanquish killing Rotscale LAST, because the Halloween quest, IIRC, requires you to enter a specific area of Rotscale's Mausoleum (also recommend you take a Ray of Judgement smiter monk since although Rotscale doesn't take double holy damage, his undead buddies and the Halloween mobs do)
• Justiciar Marron I believe is around the same explorable area where you need to go to for one of the Halloween quests.

Misc efficiency:

• You may want to hold Jahai Bluffs and Issnur Isles Zaishen Vanquishes for the week after next week (I believe it's the Elonian bonus week of 11/2), it's basically doing 2 birds in one stone. Ruins of Morah and Gate of Pain are something you might want to pick up and hold on for similar reasons as above. Same with Korshek the Immolated.
• Any Zaishen bounty that rewards at least 140 copper coins is something you want to hold on for week of 11/9 (I believe that's the week for double Zaishen coin bounty, but correct me if I'm wrong).
• For any vanquishes this week for the double zaishen coin bonus, I highly recommend you pick up Griffon's Mouth this Sunday (10/25). Not only it's relatively quick 100 Copper coins, but next week's Nicholas the Traveler's gifts involve 3 Icy Humps per gift, and all of mobs in this region are Ettin mobs that drop them. About 8-10 character Zaishen Vanquish runs will give you enough humps for next week.
• Save Jaga Moraine vanquish quest, available on 10/28, until 10/31 where you can pick up Blood Washes Blood zaishen mission quest. You can basically vanquish the area and do the Blood Washes Blood afterwards. Be sure you end up in the Vaettir area when you finish the vanquish (which fortunately enough, Jaga Moraine's layout makes it very easy to pull off). It's also recommended that you bring the Ursan Blessing elite to make things a lot easier for yourself for Blood Washes Blood.

I was wondering if there's an updated guide for getting the Legendary Defender of Ascalon (LDoA) title since Reforged came out. The guide I keep seeing recommended was made before Reforged, and with all the changes I'm honestly pretty lost on what I should be doing at each level now.

Is there an updated guide that explains the best way to level from 1 to 20, including which quests to do (or save) at which levels?

Would really appreciate any tips or links to a current guide!

I’m trying to play Guild Wars Reforged on mobile, but I’m stuck on the Welcome screen. The login screen never appears, so I can’t log in.

I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but the issue persists.

Has anyone else experienced this, or found a way to fix it? Any help would be appreciated!
