Just got my first GWAMM on my Derv!

My childhood dream is complete!

I have every other class and every character with Obsidian Armor/ chaos gloves so I have a plethora of options for my 2nd!

I think I want to do either my Monk Sin or Necro.
Necro would probably be the most versatile.

What do you recommend ?

Like most, I came back to the game about a month & a half ago. Played Guild Wars very young (10), loved it back then, and the love has reignited!

When I was a kid, Guild Wars was gifted to me, and all I had ever played was prophecies. Parents never bought me the expansions.

So, upon returning, I started with my ol’ familiar Warrior & completed prophecies, already achieved obsidian armor with him and slowly working through EOTN. The game is a completely different experience this time around. Running Mesmerway with hero’s, constantly using wiki for builds. Able to farm UW with ease, something I couldn’t dream of as a kid. This game is even more epic than it was to me back then!

Simultaneously, I started NF for the first time. I am advancing through that campaign with a Derv. I have already completed EOTN with that character. My plan is to have one class, specific to the campaign, advance through and complete both the main campaign & EOTN for all my characters. So I’ll probably complete NF this weekend I’d imagine (mission/bonuses).NF has been a breathe of fresh air since it was new to me.

I’ll be starting factions sometime soon. I find things that I like about Ritualists & Assassin. I’m just not sure which one to pick when I start factions! Please, comment what you’d reccomend for the first time. I’m leaning more towards Rit, just because War/Derv are more melee characters already. I’d like to experience a caster.

Anyways, let me know what you’d recommend and why!

I’ve never done chest running before. I’m looking for some specific criteria, and despite looking at some Peter Kadar and GWReborn videos, reading some Agent Chevy legacy posts, etc, I’m still not sure where to start.

Things I care about:

Ease for mobile - I’m primarily interested in chest running to be able to do them on my iPad while watching sports or other things. I’m okay with a little hero microing - I do raptor farm (paragon hero microing), Stygian gemstone farm (microing spirits), vaettirs, etc. But some of these chest runs that are challenging with body blocking, IAU, etc, may be tough for mobile.

Treasure Hunter title - not interested if the chests don’t count toward treasure hunter. Also will be using lockpicks for lucky/unlucky, but I really care about ratio of rares for wisdom title purposes.

Drops - lower priority for me, but I do want there to be a chance for valuable drops. I don’t need anything highly profitable, but it’s fun if there’s a chance at something of value - some hope to keep you going.

What recommendations do you have for me?

Ive had more black dyes than magic armor drop off the level 6 grawl in the northlands..

Love being able to play on the go, now if I could only do it with Guild Wars 2.

Is anybody experiencing this issue on iOS? I recently updated to the latest iOS 27.2 Beta 4 which might have something to do with it. Nothing fixes it (app reinstalls etc)

The nostalgia is overwhelming seeing all my old gear and characters. My beloved fellblade i was so proud of lol probably worthless now though.

I recently came across a video of a solo D/N Oolas lab SC. I've never done any solo dungeons before so I'm quite eager to try this out to make some money.

It says cons are not a requirement but will make it easier (unfortunately I don't have any cons).

Does anyone have any tips on making successful runs? I killed Xien once on an attempt out of 20 tries but I keep dieing on most run attempts then the DP gets too high I have to go back to outpost and try again.

It absolutely crazy how nice this is to play on a tablet, and with its insane content nothing even comes close as a mobile MMO especially as it's got no ads, pay to win..

I really think Anet is not pushing the mobile angle enough right now, hell even the controller hand held experience is really nice.

The only thing I wish they did was have a loot or interact button on the right side by the weapon so you didn't need to reach across the screen when playing mobile and looting .

Other than that it's just fantastic

I have a question regarding skills for heroes.

I started a new character and just got Devona (in pre-searing).

I thought i would be able to change her warrior skills up because I've collected almost all warrior skills in the game (with a warrior character), but she only has the ones she comes with.

Does she have to be a certain level for me to see those skills? The skills merchant doesn't have them either currently.

Wondering how that works.

I'm going through the profession that I played the less amount of time within this last decade and of course it's monk.

I had the idea to try a Melandru character as I will mostly play alone and in short session.

I basically only played Monk for farming and SC so my pve builds were mostly Roj and Hammer build with the new anniversary weapon which was a lot of fun.

I'm going through all campaign in "order" and looking for fun or original build of your own madness that are not related to healing.

I have currently a mix of prot and smithing currently trying to help a bit the prophecy healer Merc

I had the idea to do prot and warrior shout fighting with a sword and a shield

Having close to no skill available to the skill trainer is challenging, crazy how my other character have easy life without knowing it.

Looking forward to skill cap later for my Devona

I would love to tank and ball group in later content as a monk/warrior or assassin

I have no problem with trash tier build if they are a lot of fun.

I just want ideas and test/refine it

She's just as useless when she is blind, as she was when she had eyes.

My UI is a little complicated. I am trying to find a quick way, maybe a keybind to remove bonds?

For example as a monk running UA and someone dies too quickly res them I have to hover my mouse and double click. But as some of you know that mouse cursor is tiny and it is yellow and when there's lots of particle effects on the screen, sometimes we loose track of my mouse pointer and have to find it to double click UA. Needless to say this is a bit uncomfortable

Does anyone have any advice maybe a toolbox command or any keybinds to quickly remove bonds? I'm especially interested in monk mains or e/mo constantly run bonds. Any tips or pointers would be appreciated.

What is the current best mod for cart title?

Quick drops question. I know drops get randomly assigned across the whole party, including heroes and henchmen, and anything assigned to them just disappears. The wiki says each party member has an equal chance at each drop.
What I can't find is whether distance matters. If I flag my heroes way back outside compass range, do they still get assigned a share of the drops? Or does the game only assign loot to party members near the kill?

I want to create a warrior since that was always my preferred RPG class archetype. I know you can respec your secondary profession, but im getting discouraged since I’m reading that due to warrior’s low energy pool, many secondary choices are poor. So now im not sure if I should pick another class, since it looks like warrior ruins the fun of mixing class combos and being creative. I was thinking of warrior/necro and be like a life stealing blood knight. Or maybe warrior/para since both focus the most on adrenaline? Just don’t want to regret picking warrior but the class looks the most appealing to me, even more than Dervish.

Months ago, it was announced that a new type of content is going to be developed for GW1. No timeline or details beyond that as far as I am aware. Does anyone have theories on what it could be? Any type of content popular in GW2 that doesn’t exist in GW1? Thoughts ?
