musical bits
for self titled fans:
Dan The Automator (producer of Gorillaz) his work from 1999 to 2002 since its pretty similar its minamalistic instrumentation with no cymbal drumming he also collabed with the DJ Kid Koala who Dj'ed for Gorillaz a couple times so I'd recommend him too since he appeared on Deltron and Lovage
Cibo Matto's Viva La Woman meanwhile Stereotype A is close to Gorillaz in age the hit Sugar Water has a very Tomorrow Comes Today aesthetic
Kid Koala for his cartoony style and since he was the guy who did all the DJ'ng on the debut

for G-Sides fans:
Junior Dan just anything from him his work has a very Dracula style he was the bassist on the self titled but has more of a G-Sides style
and same for Augustus Pablo who wasn't part of Gorillaz but a major influence on them which I'd also recommend

for the artstyle lovers:
if you are a legal adult I'd recommend Jamie Hewlett's comics such as Get The Freebies and Tank Girl he's also the guy drawing and animating and was known for doing live visuals for Gorillaz
if you are younger or any age I'd recommend Gennedy Tartavosky and Craig McCracken's 2 shows Dexter's Labratory and Powerpuff Girls due to the artstyles being really similar

for people enjoying the idea of a cartoon band
listen to Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band it is very colourful but features very sad songs and is with a fictional band by The Beatles
more Beatles picks I'd recommend Beatles cartoon and Yellow Submarine both are based on The Beatles, a band

Uhmmmm that should work 😭

Brooo nooo Murdoc not jimmy

What are y'all's favorite song/songs from each album? Here's mine:

Gorillaz- Double Bass, Rock The House

Demon Days- Feel good inc, DARE

Plastic Beach- On Melancholy Hill, Stylo, Empire Ants

Humanz- Saturnz Barz, She's My Collar, Charger

The Now Now- Tranz, Idaho, One Percent

Song Machine Season One- The Lost Chord, Momentary Bliss

Cracker Island- Oil, Silent Running, New Gold

The Mountain- The Moon Cave, The Happy Dictator, Orange County

Humanz is my absolute personal most favorite album of all time. However I’m not new to its flaws. It definitely suffers from a saturated amount of collabs, a lack of 2D and odd tracks to deluxe track choices.

So I took it upon myself to TRY and “fix” or “reorganize” the album with a slight catch. I wanted to add ALL standard AND deluxe tracks as well as the follow up singles “Garage Palace” and “Sleeping Powder” as a challenge of sorts. In combination to make a SUPER DUPER DELUXE EDITION of Sorts.

In addition I have also used Spotifys new mixing update in order to flow a few tracks better. I hope this somewhat improves the listening experience even in the slightest. Enjoy!

The guy playing bass for Gorillaz on this tour is seriously the coolest looking motherfucker I think I've ever seen.

edit: I picked this flair for no real reason, it's just funny.

Has anyone else noticed how similar these two songs are? I couldn't find anyone talking about it

yeah❤️
