Search Ads Best way to structure a campaign

Best way to structure a campaign for making the cpc less and also making the add win most of the auction. What do you guys think is the too 5 things that your experience has picked up

Mostly since a year in my service based business people have started to start google adds and caused so much competition among Advertisers so in my industry who ever pops up first and more wins it's not that there is some type of converting traffic ect . What do you guys find in your experience that can complete these requirements and get me over my competition

Ps: the account is over 3 years old and has alot of conversion data . The budget is kinda also more then them I assume but still I feel that there add is seen more and also they are getting more leads . There is no issues with ad copy all are excellent and directly targeted

Discussion "spam" Emails from Google Account Managers

Over the past year or two I've gotten NUMEROUS emails from people claiming to be Google Account Managers wanting to help improve my account performance.

They always mention some account/business name that has nothing to do with me.

I check the email header and it looks like a legit google dot com email, passes spf, dkim, dmarc.

Anyone else getting these? Google can't figure out who actually manages an account???

Discussion Negative keywords advice

When my campagne was getting good leads i had about 34 negative keywords, now that list is 147 and my campagne is terrible.

I can’t really figure out if this is because of the negative keywords but everything else is about 95% the same.

I am thinking about deleting all the negatives and starting over with 0. Has anyone ever done this or is this a dumb idea?

Discussion Auto apply recommendations quietly changed my account settings, the weekly audit checklist i use now

• Upvotes

Auto apply settings can be on without you realizing it, for example on by default for some recommendation types, or turned on by someone else with access to the account. when they’re on, they can change bids, expand audiences and broaden match types. there’s a thread here from someone who found 18 auto apply toggles on by default after it re-broadened their campaigns.

so here’s a weekly checklist worth running every monday before anything else:

change history filtered to the last 7 days. investigate any changes you don’t recognize, and revert only if needed.

auto apply settings, checked every account, every week.

recommendations tab, reviewed before anything is applied.

budget pacing and delivery status.

one deep dive account per week where you actually read the search terms.

If you manage several accounts, the change history check is the part most worth automating. tools like MAI can check change history daily and flag changes nobody on the team made (disclosure: i work with MAI). someone should still review before reverting anything.

Does anyone actually leave auto apply on and trust it? genuinely asking.

Discussion €0.04 per mobile game pre-registration on Google Ads. Is this actually good, or am I missing something?

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’m an indie developer getting ready to launch my first mobile PvP tactics game on November 1st.

I’ve been experimenting with Google Ads pre-registration campaigns on a really small budget (€5/day per campaign), and the results have honestly surprised me.

Today I’m seeing a cost per pre-registration of around €0.04, which seems incredibly low compared to most mobile game acquisition numbers I’ve seen.

I’m attaching screenshots showing the actual spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, and cost per conversion.

For some context:

  • I’m running two Google App campaigns.
  • One targets Italy, Spain, France, Germany, the US, and the UK.
  • The other targets Brazil, Mexico, and the Philippines.
  • Most conversions are coming from Google’s Display network.
  • The game is free-to-play and launches on Android and iOS on November 1st.

Obviously, these are pre-registrations, not actual installs, and I know the real test will be how many users install the game, play multiple matches, and stick around after launch.

Still, I’m pretty surprised by the numbers, especially considering how little I’ve spent.

For those of you who have run mobile game campaigns:

Have you seen similar costs for pre-registrations? And did those low acquisition costs translate into actual players after launch?

I’m particularly curious whether Google Ads tends to become significantly more expensive when switching from pre-registrations to install campaigns.

Would love to hear your experiences!
