Switch No more crops please

I play on my switch to decompress a bit before bed and I’m burnt out on all my regulars. I love a farming sim but I’m done with harvesting and watering for now.

My top titles are Ooblets, Animal Crossing, Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Cult of the Lamb, and Minecraft.

I love cute concepts, interesting dialogue, exploration, and indie games.

I’m upgrading to a switch 2 in December and Poketopia has me champing at the bit, but I’m looking for something to tide me over! TIA!

Multi-platform Games where you encounter strangers in an open world

I am posting it with a better, more understandable (hopefully) prompt.

Games where you encounter strangers (real people) in an open world, making it a less mundane experience. It could be friendly or not. Bonus points if it’s unpredictable.

On ps5 or Steam Deck

Multi-platform Looking for Sci-Fi games like Phantasy Star Online 2

• Upvotes

Hello, I've played Phantasy Star Online 2 for a number of years now, primarily the base game, although I also played NGS for a while too, but haven't touched that part in a year or two.

I'm looking for alternatives to scratch the particular 'itch' that the game has filled for a while, as I'm kinda burnt out a little bit from just aimlessly playing the same game for years. The things that I like the most about PSO2 and would be looking for in an alternative are:

  1. The sci-fi aesthetic of the world, particularly the CASTs and associated technology and worldbuilding.
  2. The character customization being extremely in-depth with a number of cybernetic/robotic options.
  3. The mobile gameplay with a number of extra movement options such as the long dashes and jumps.
  4. The ability to travel between multiple planets or diverse areas to explore.
  5. A space to just hang out and vibe with the uniqure sci-fi world and environment.

Something does not need to hit all of these to be a candidate, but the more the better typically. I don't care how new or old the game is, or what platform its on, and it doesn't matter if its singleplayer or multiplayer, I'm never that social in MMOs anyway.

For the record I've already played through most of the content in Warframe and come back to it every couple of months for a new story quest or two, and I'm already aware of Phantasy Star Portable II Infinity and am looking into trying that.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I just want something to fill the hole that playing through PSO2 for the first time years ago left in me. Thanks for reading, have a good day.

Multi-platform Games that tug at your heartstrings and move your soul.

Good day. I would like to have some recommendations for games that have emotionally impacted you so deeply that it takes a good chunk of your memory bank. The type of game that maximized the extents of your emotions. The type of game that you still carry to this day and has made a lasting impact on you as a person. The type of game that left a lesson and has pushed you to grow. I'm open to suggestions from any genre or platform. What matters the most is the narrative and how it delivers it. I play just about anything. Some examples I can offer are Undertale, Outer Wilds, Nier, Project Moon Games, RDR2, Detroit, Disco Elysium. I'm open to things such as visual novels as well. Thank you in advance.

PC Games where you have one destination/objective, but encounter little episodic mini-adventures along the way.

I really want to find a game where the end goal/destination is defined early on, but the journey there is the real meat of the game. Great examples of such stories in non-gaming media include The Odyssey and The Hobbit/LOTR.

Bonus points if the game is open world or semi-open world and the mini-adventures are optional, but pay off in the end somehow, like how all of the allies you make can fight alongside you in the Battle of Hoover Dam in New Vegas, or how the divine beasts and weapons you find in Breath of the Wild help you defeat Ganon.

Playstation Just finished Titanfall 2 after finishing Doom Eternal. Looking for a great FPS. Sleepers welcome! (PS5)

Looking for something that feels as satisfying and has minimal cut scenes. Gunplay over everything. I played Trepang2 already, considering Roboquest but would like something chunkier I think. Let me know!

PC City Builder Suggestions?

I just played Frostpunk for the first time (I've never played a city builder before ever), beat it, loved the whole experience! I want to play more city builders! Suggestions don't necessarily have to have the same stress level as Frostpunk, but definitely looking for one that's going to keep me engaged.
Thanks! <3

PC Survival games that you can grind for a while, bonus points for base building and maintenance

The most similar games I can think of (that I’ve played) are sons of the forest and Conan exiles. Where you can build up a base, it takes a while, there’s survival elements and resource management to worry about while you do it, and enemies will attack it so you have to repair it and fend them off etc etc

Kinda like project zomboid but less traumatic, since that can be a bit much for just casual gaming.

I’ve been looking at Enshrouded but the art style kinda puts me off, I just prefer the more realistic looking survival games. It also doesn’t seem to have the base maintenance element, however, if people say it’s worth it I can push through.

Any other recommendations would be great :)

Currently I’m stuck cycling between Mafia 2, The Witcher 3; Wild Hunt and Red Dead Redemption 2. I really love story focused games, ones with choices that affect your outcomes and such. Just looking for some more games along these lines. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PC Looking for a RTS with coop campaign

Hello everyone.

I love strategy games, and right now im looking for an RTS, Kinda like warcraft 3.

But I Kinda want to play with my friend.

I saw that the coming Dawn of war 4 will have coop campaign and that sounded awesome untill I noticed that it would be shared bases and soldiers.

Are there any games more like Red Alert 3 where you each controll different units and bases?

Playing Skirmish matches is cool for a night or two, but I want something a bit more.

edit Im also open for city builders if there are any with multiplayer that doesnt force you to end your friend. I have played almost all the Anno games with my friend

PC Specs for playing recomp browser games?

Hey all!

I dont have a lot of spare time as the dad of an 8 month old for gaming and loved ps2/3/4 era games. I've seen a lot of cool games recpomped recently and was wondering how good a pc needs to be for a browser based emulator to work for a ps2/3/4 game?

Also, im pretty out of tough with tech, if I misunderstand the concept of what's been going on im open to being reinforced :)

Playstation Looking for PS5 game recommendations

I'm looking for some PS5 games to get into, preferably a bit older so I can pick them up cheaper. I mostly enjoy single-player games, especially fantasy RPGs, sci-fi and anything with a good story. Not too bothered about genre, though, as long as it's something that can really pull you in. What games would you recommend? Thanks in advance!

PC Anybody got a mystery game suggestions?

I'm a huge fan of murder mystery games but I haven't played very few. Visual Novel, Adventure, Action, etc anything is fine, I want more deduction heavy gameplay.

- Danganronpa

- Ace Attorney

While not really murder mystery, some of the following games I really like the grand mystery aspects of it in the overall story.

- Phantom Trick

- Life is Strange

- Zero Escape Series.

My apologies if I sound like a larper who barely played surface level mystery games and acting like a fan but I wanna expand my collection of mystery games. I'm sincerely grateful for any suggestions u got for me.

Xbox I fell out of the shower

I’m off work for a week and so bored of replaying the same games and I don’t know what else to try on my Xbox!! I’ve loved:

Hogwarts legacy
RDR2
Kena bridge of spirits
Star Wars outlaws
Jedi fallen order
Jedi survivor
South of midnight
Psychonauts 2
Tomb Raider
COD zombies and a few campaigns
Immortals Fenyx Rising (did not love)

I love exploring and looting! I like combat more on the mild side. What else would I like?!

Multi-platform Singleplayer games where I can play as an anti-armor/tank grunt.

Ive been playing alot of battlefield 6 recently and I love being the engineer class. I hate tanks or any kind of vehicle in the game so I make it my life's goal to destroy as many as possible. Is there another game hopefully singleplayer but multiplayer will also do where I can get that same experience.

I’m debating between three games I don’t have knowledge on:

•Persona 3
•Metaphor: Refantazio
•Persona 5 Strikers

Anyone who’s played any three of these, I’d like some input? :)
