Best Swords in gaming
In an upcoming episode of my Podcast "30 Something Gamers" we are talking about the best swordplay in games and I'm going to do a section on the best/ most iconic/ most bad ass swords ever in gaming.
Anyone got any suggestions I have to include?
Also, do we class the keyblade as a sword?

Discussion Crimson Desert.....
Is this game triggering anyone else's blood pressure or really testing their patience, whatever you call it?
I mean even after the updates, idk if it's something I'm doing wrong or a lot of shit is just way too complicated and doesn't make sense.
For example, I'm just trying to do a couple of bounty hunts, and one of them, I find the location but the guy isn't there bc wrong time of day, so I have to slay a bunch of enemies just to use their bed and skip time, I go back, bounty is there, I get him, but the location to bring him to is a long ass way and there's no clear direction I can follow to safely get him there and I end up in a patch with these weird things chasing and attacking me and it screws everything up I'm doing.
I mean a simple waypoint that has that line you'd follow on the road part of the map like RDR or something, that'd definitely help for one....
I hope shit starts to make sense bc rn I'm very frustrated at times with this game

Discussion my top 9 gaming soundtracks of all time, any suggestions?
Like the title says, if you look at my top 9 ost's of all time, what game would you reccomend for its soundtrack and you would think suits me? i'm open for any genre of game, i just dont like very modern music like electronic, rap etc. 9 bit is another thing tho, love the nostalgic feeling it gives like in undertale/delta rune. another 9 bit ost i really liked was megaman battlenetwork 1 through 6. just didnt make my list sadly.
So let me know what you think and give me some suggestions. looking forward to it!

What is up with this recent trend of always blaming the developers for every problem in the industry instead of the corporate suits actually calling the shots? I feel it wasn't like this a few years ago.
Can someone explain this to me? I've noticed recently that it's becoming way too common for gamers to paint game developers as this villain, while basically all but completely excusing the corporate shareholders and suits and painting them like they are just innocent bystanders and sometimes even victims of the "evil game devs and their agenda". What the hell is up with this?

Video a cozy game about sorting 9,600 gnomes
Gnome Nook, an upcoming cozy organizing game set in a shop filled with 9,600 scattered gnomes.
You pick them up, find their matching shelves, and gradually put the shop back in order. Along the way, you complete themed collections and buy upgrades that help you carry more.
If you enjoy sorting things and watching a messy space slowly become organized, you might like this one.
You can wishlist Gnome Nook on Steam here:

Thanks for taking a look!

Needing advice on upgrading console or to a PC in Australia.
Looking for some advice from people who know their stuff in Australia.
I currently have an PS4 and a Nintendo switch and am thinking about upgrading, I’m not really down with what I’ve been hearing on socials with some of the decisions Sony,Microsoft and Nintendo have been making lately, so I’m weighing up my options. Im not a desk gamer I’m very much a sit on the lounge maybe play for 1hr here or there type of gamer nowadays since having a family. But obviously the kids will get older and I’d like to be able to maybe play video games with them. I don’t really use online features much beyond game/system updates, although I do occasionally use streaming apps.
I like the idea of getting a PC type of setup because of the flexibility and options it offers, but honestly, I have absolutely no idea where to start with PC gaming, what specs I’d need, or how much I’d have to spend to get something worthwhile. I don’t necessarily need the absolute best performance or graphics. I just want something enjoyable, convenient and good value for money.

Discussion What games are for you criminally underrated and are impressive on technical level?
For me, it's Transformers Fall of Cybertron
I played the first two levels and holy shit...
That game surely knows how to get your attention by the action.
I like the attention to details in this game like how you can see small parts on Optimus or Bumblebee move a bit. And that animation for the gun when you're switching from right to left side is also amazing.
And holy crap....that artillery strike? That's a fucking nuke.
My favorite part so far is punching the crap out of Megatron as Metroplex. That felt so good.

Gamers: would you invest in an upcoming indie game instead of just backing it on Kickstarter?
I’ve always loved indie games, and it’s rough seeing a really cool project miss its Kickstarter goal. I’ve been thinking about a different approach and want honest feedback from players before I build anything. (No link, nothing to sell, just researching.)
The idea: instead of donating to a game’s crowdfunding campaign, you could invest in it. If the game sells well, you’d get a small share of its revenue for a set time (say, until you’ve earned back 2x what you put in, or 5 years, whichever comes first). If the game flops, you could lose some or all of what you invested, just like any investment.
I’m curious what players actually think:
- Would you invest in an upcoming indie game you’re excited about? Why or why not?
- How much would you realistically put in? ($5? $25? $100+?)
- Would you still want normal backer rewards (a copy of the game, credits, etc.) on top of the revenue share?
- What would make you trust a game enough to invest: a playable demo, a dev’s past games, regular updates, something else?
- What would stop you from investing: risk of losing money, confusing paperwork, not trusting devs, something else?
- Have you ever backed a game on Kickstarter? Did it turn out how you hoped?
Tear it apart if you need to. I’d rather hear the problems now than after I build it.
