My 6th time in Vegas (fav city!) but only my first time since I turned 21 a few months ago! Put in $40 on wheel of fortune, won on my second slot on my first day of the trip! Cashed out and had fun the rest of the trip using my winnings for experiences rather than putting it back in, still have a bunch left too. at Flamingo.

Do you enjoy the experience, or just making money?

I haven't really started going to the casino until recently. Theirs plenty of options in Vegas, so its like a kid in a candy store. Im also a gamer, so the atmosphere just fits. Im clearly there to win money, but I do like seeing the reels spin, the flashing lights, and the attractive employees. Its a hobby of old people, too, so theirs time to kill. Whats your reason for gambling?

$5 bet hit big.

On Hard Rock's Spin 'em Round.

On $150 deposit, I got as high as $1,150. Withdrew $900 for use at IRL casino soon.

I was looking to pad my bankroll for a trip to HR Tampa later this week.

Shaking off a loss and being positive

Well over the last month, I ran 1100 up to 6900 but just had a 3k loss yesterday. My last 2 trips was 1000-2100 and 900 up to 3k. Then yesterday it went poorly. But staying positive-really just wiped my 2 previous profits to even and still have a nice ~3k profit. Probably gonna take a break for a week to dust myself off

Getting a host after first visit

How much are you playing to get a host. A few places I'll just play 1k until its over. And a host will reach out. Last week dropped 5k on slots. Pay outs were so low I didn't really get that many player points. Nobody has reached out. Anyone know what usually raises a flag. Im in a lower income area so 5k visit is somewhat big for us. Obviously in Vegas I wouldn't expect to hear from anyone . What kind of action gets you a host?

I created a Fantasy Sports Betting Application (for fun not for money)

https://pickem.fan/

Last year I was in a fantasy gambling league with some friends where the commissioner took screenshots of a sportsbook app, and told us to send us picks from different categories, each pick was worth a point and we would tally them all up in a spreadsheet and then the winner each week would win a prize and there were prizes for the end of the season. This got me thinking there had to be a better way to do this, so I started working on Pick'em.

At first it was just a script that build a google sheet manually each week from real odds. That turned into another script to grade that sheet, then I embedded the sheets into a google site and thought how much farther could I push it. Over a 1000 hours later, a lot of nights and weekends and Pick'em the app was born.

It uses real odds, grades in close to real time, has achievements, public leagues, chat, custom leagues rules, push notifications, stats, and more. I am really proud of it, and for now I just want people to check it out especially with NBA starting tonight its a great time to get in and check it out, or pop into a public league for a week. I also have a free demo that you do not need to create an account for if you just want to see how it works.

The part of the site that I think would be of intresting to r/gambling is I have a betting trends section on my website that builds over the course of the season that shows gambling stats trends for every team and has a breakdown to help you make better picks https://pickem.fan/betting-trends/ . That is free, no sign up or log in needed and I do not have any adds on the site right now, this is a new thing I am doing for the love of the game!

Just wanted to share my project, hope it will be helpful to some folks here

grinding the wave 2 pool on housebets but quick question about the duel mode slider.

i got my payout from the first wave here and currently grinding the 5m pool, plus that sloth bot hubie keeps dropping random reloads which is cool. the thing is i'm trying to figure out how to optimize their duel mode settings. they have that customizable slider where you can shift your rewards split between rakeback and lossback. for those who are actively clearing volume for the leaderboard, what's the best split ratio to keep your balance alive longer without slowing down your wave 2 point generation too much?

What actually makes a casino promo code worth using?

Some casinos advertise huge bonuses, but then you look at the wagering requirements and suddenly the deal doesn't seem so great lol

Have you ever come across a promo that was genuinely worth it? What did it offer, and were there any annoying restrictions? I'm especially curious whether anyone has found a decent bonus with fair terms and hassle-free withdrawals

East vs west coast casinos. Which coast has the best and loosest casinos ?

I feel like West coast has casinos with way better payout compared to east coast casinos. Reno and Black Hawk is probably the best location for slots. Most casinos in east coast are tight and hide their RTPs. What’s the best casino in east coast?
