Damn i was really nerfed with this phone. Feel so refreshed with this one. My old one was so slow and took way too long multi tasking.

I've had the flip 8 since day one. I love the small form factor but now the novelty has worn off, I'm getting frustrated by it more and more.

Interested if anyone else has experienced this? Did you swap back to a regular phone and did you then miss the flip??

Update: thanks all. Further context. I'm not a heavy phone user. I charge it's small battery to 90% only and thats more than enough to get me through until bed time.

I have a greyscale routine setup so a lot of the time I use the phone in black and white so the screen isn't too stimulating. I scroll much if at all.

My fave ever phone was the iPhone 13 mini. That form factor was PERFECT.

I have young ones so often find trying to unflip the phone with one hand a nuisance. I am often using things saved in the wallet and that's a faff when the phone is closed. The camera isn't up to standard for the sort of photos I like taking especially when theres not an abundance of light.

As the weather is turning crap in the UK and I'm wearing gloves more the flip is a pain. Also more likely to have more/bigger pockets with autumn/winter clothes...

I love the phone, but....!! Just establishing it has some limitations for me. Maybe I want to love it more than I actually do.

If your inside screen is broken Samsung's latest update will Brick your phone. DO NOT UPDATE IT. I called Samsung and they suggested I Pay for the screen repair, Wipe my phone, or buy a new one.

Inside screen is broken. Been using the outside/cover screen but after the latest update I am locked out of my phone. Front screen only seems to work as a clock. Anyone having the same issue?

Ok I know everyone's complaining about their apps, I feel you but for me the most annoying thing is that I cannot go back to my wallpaper and clock + camera!!! Like so many times I've wanted to snap a picture quickly but couldn't because the phone unlocked and took me to the now brief. So until they fix it I made a really bad cover screen attempt on the first widget page, so at least I can see the time and some cool art.

I really hope they fix this soon tho it's already been too long.

I'm not sure if it's after restarting the ohone, but every so often, for example, app widget looks empty, but when I "click" on it, it still offers all my selected applications and I just have to confirm with "done" to activate iz again. Does anyone have a similar situation?

Everything was updated to the latest version (including GoodLock), I tried clean cash, deleted and reinstalled Multistar....

Ideas/suggestions?

Its harder to navigate. The wallpaper is just a lock screen, I have to swipe down instead of right to see my notifications. There was no problem with having to swipe left to get to the widgets. And it's harder to change the widgets.

So is there any way to go back or am I screwed.

Anyone updated his z flip 5 to 1 UI9 ,how's the experience 🤔, fearing that my 5 may become un usable as Complaints are too many

My father uses this Galaxy Z Flip 7 and he used Gemini AI to make calls to his family and stuff like that. But now whenever he uses Gemini or uses a prompt like "call my sister," it shows this popup here and now the only time it works is if he was the phone unfolded. Before he used to use it completely normally, he could make calls from the cover screen, everything. It's all of a sudden an issue. If anybody can come up with a solution, I will be eternally grateful to you🙏

I want to use the 'now playing' widget on the lock/home screen, why does unlocking now lock you out of that menu?? All the other changes are shitty but I can live with them. But just let me see my nice lock screen I spent ages designing :(

anyone know a workaround?? like good lock or something? Might try to roll back the update otherwise, i hate using my cover screen now

Thanks to everyone that commented on this issue in my original post.

In that post I mentioned that I had difficulty connecting to my FLIP 8 to my HA's.

ASHA would connect. But the newer LE mode would not.

First issue - the HA's - Phillips/Hearlink - required a software update that cannot be done over the air. This took some time to schedule, but got done.

Second Issue - while LE mode pairing worked. There were intermittent dropouts that were quite frsutrsing as there we no rhythm or reason seemingly. Sometime LE mode worked. Other time not. (Just FYI I did not have this problem with iPhone, which made it even more frustrating)

For others that may be having this issue. It is bluetooth connection interference from another device. In this case my iPad . While I had removed the hearing app from the iPad, the hearing aid assistance was still connecting to the HA and overriding the FLIP8 connection. Disabling this has enabled consistent connections between my HA and the FLIP.

If anyone else is having issues, check bluetooth on your other devices and hearing aid assistance on iPhones/iPads.

Recently I got a Xreal Glasses and looking in matketplace I got a zflip5 with a fault innerscreen for R$ 150 (30 USD).

I saw some people use the desktop mode online and thought it would work, mine was updated, so not for me.

What i did here was using Shizuku to force a virtual desktop on the external screen and adding a trackpad for the coverscreen.

Since I just tested myself for now, I'll try to create a alpha test and add it to the playstore, and if the community is interested, upgrade the app with time.

for now my biggest concern is how hot the phone is getting, and we know that when we try to do something on the cover screen it's normal, so I maybe try to add latter some fail guard for it.

Hi. Just got my Zflip 8 yesterday and im having this weird issue. First, I have realized Im not receiving any gmail notifications. I am getting notifications on my tablet (galaxy tab a11+ ). First I made sure, I didn't accidentally block notifications access for gmail or put on do not disturb mode. I didnt. Then I went to Setting- account and backup- manage accounts. There I saw, Only all 3 of my google account has sync on. Rest of them has sync off. Even though sync was on, I was still not receiving any new email notifications. For other accounts I was only able to enable sync on my Samsung account. For the rest (i.e.- Instagram, tiktok, x etc), as you can see in the image, I cant click sync now. It also says sync is off for all account. So I guess Im not receiving notifications from those apps as well. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling those apps remove account and then re- add them there. Still no fix. How do I fix this?

I have a 5 and have always loved it. Recently when on vacation I got it wet with salt water and it hasn't been the same since. Doesn't want to cable charge and the finger print reader no longer works. I never upgraded because the only thing I really missed was a good camera which from the 5 they got better but not drastically. I see now on the 7 and 8 they have full cover screens but aside from that and minor size differences still not much has changed. I noticed the 8 hasn't changed much from the 7. Am I wrong about that? I've also been seeing a lot of people are unhappy with the recent update. Why is that? Am I better off getting a 7 or an 8? And if i go with the 7 what am I missing from the 8?

Just updated my ZFlip 6 to OneUI 9, and i was very afraid of having the worst experience ever with the cover screen and even regretting getting this phone based on everyone's comments and expectations about it.

Turns out that it didn't changed that much. Now it controls much more like an actual phone screen, the wallpaper behaves like a wallpaper, you can add apps normally with widgets or on that (ugly) now brief page. The notifications and quick actions menu have changed to be split for each side of the screen, which is weird, but i guess it is maneagable considering the screen size.

If you are also afraid of it, i suggest giving it a try. This update have also fixed the issue with ClockFace not properly aligning your chosen assets with the screen, something that annoyed me a lot before.

DO NOT install one ui 9, it rework the outer display making so you can't swipe left or right anymore, which means UNLESS you have a keyboard and a c to c cable to blindly type your password, ur cooked, even if you manage to unlock it, ur still can't do ANYTHING since the outer screen now is USELESS, no swiping until you SOMEHOW HOOK IT TO A MONITOR TO SEE WHAT YOURE DOING AND THE OUTER SCREEN IS AGAIN, USELESS WITHOUT ANY SETTINGS

Hello everyone, this morning a kind of bubble formed on the bottom half of the upper part of the phone (main screen). And now it's pretty much reached the other side. The screen below still works and has no black parts. Can it make it worse or remain stable? How long can it last before you have to replace it?

I found a seller that gives a flip 8 exhibition model which is obviously used from potential buyers in a shop.

She vouches that it's in perfect condition. I have the opportunity to check it out myself as she is in the same city.
