I’m a local Brewers fan. I didn’t know if anyone knew of any bars or groups who would be watching together.

Find Fort Wayne Events

I'm curious on what type of people the singles speed dating events draw. I'm a single straight woman in my late 20s and thought it would be good just to get out of my shell and work on meeting people or making friends, but I'm afraid of showing up and it being the people that I typically avoid on the dating apps lol. Has anyone attended an event as a single woman? I'm also interested in the events to make friends, anyone had success?

good hospitals in the area?

hi, i went to dupont hospital yesterday and was treated horribly. i was a passenger in an auto accident and started developing severe back pain and a bad concussion. they did nothing to treat me but a random shot of toradol. the nurse/doctor also used harmful stereotypes towards me having pots, made fun of the job position i was about to work because of pots, just ableist comments and hipaa violations when they let back in my friend without proper verification. (they only know i have pots because they asked about my medical history, i strictly went to the ER to get treatment for the pain of my back and concussion like symptoms after the accident.) i tried to contact the patient services/advocate to put in a complaint and never got a call back. i did leave a really bad review though.

i got established with a primary care doctor today and after reviewing everything from the horrible good for nothing ER visit and me physically, she wants me to return to the ER (preferably not dupoint because they refused to do any scans) and i’m unsure which hospital to go to because dupoint was recommended as one of the best hospitals.

Southeast Roads

Can we please have something done about the roads out here? Tillman Rd. is an absolute wreck. The intersection by Southtown is horrible. The back entrance by Menards has a visible chunk of concrete layered over the old crater that had been there previously. Slapping cheap asphalt on huge potholes is not working anymore.

Short-Term Living Arrangemets

I am getting ready for a major condo renovation and am looking for affordable, short-term living arrangements for my cat (Chuck) and me for about 2 months starting at the end of this year.

I have looked at extended-stay hotels and short-term apartments, but there aren't many options.

Does anyone have ideas on what to look for or how to look?

Kanela Chai Recipe

Hi! This is a very odd request but I have traveled for work these past few years and have decided to do a permanent job. When me and my fiancee were traveling in Fort Wayne for a year, we really liked hanging out in Kanela and found that their Chai Latte is really good and creamy!! Ever since that, we have not found the same texture and taste anywhere else.

I know this is a long shot but by any chance the people here are able to share their recipe and the actual brand of Chai they use and the oatmeal milk? Thank you!!

Best vets on north side?

Recently moved to the north side with my two kitties & they could use a check up.

One of my girls has diabetes so it’s very important to me to have a kind, reliable veterinarian.

Sewing Classes?

I'm about to invest in a decent sewing machine and I'll need to learn how to use it. Sure I can watch a bunch of YouTube and figure it out, but I'd really like to have a pro on hand to show me when I screw something up.

Is there any place in town that does that? Or does anybody with experience offer that privately?

Anyone in Fort Wayne interested in robots, Arduino, ROS, or electronics?

We're putting together a new free robotics club in Fort Wayne, and we’re looking for programmers, builders, engineers, students, teachers, makers, and curious beginners. Our first meeting is November 8th, 1–3 p.m., at Electric Works in The Forum (Second Sundays). You do not need experience or a finished robot. Bring a project if you want help, share something you’ve learned, or just show up and see what others are building. Meetings will feature introductions, a 40-minute presentation, suggestions for future topics, and open social/coworking time. Possible discussions include: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ROS/ROS 2, Python, C++, embedded systems, sensors, motors, AI, computer vision, CAD, and 3D printing. We’re also organizing an optional group project, planning to participate in robotics competitions, and hoping to mentor local school teams. People under 18 can attend with a parent or guardian. Parking is available in the lot or garage. Registration is free: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/fort-wayne-robot-club-kickoff-meeting-tickets-2003638642115. Also, if you have a topic you’d like to present or learn about, leave a comment!

Woodworking craft networking in FW??

My friend is way into woodworking - looking to connect with other people who enjoy making furniture or cabinetry or other wood stuff while he's in town this week. He's not looking for business contacts - just other people who love making stuff, particularly from hardwood.

Can anyone suggest people or places where he can meet like minded woodworking folks?

Found a Flash Drive

My husband works at a thrift store on Dupont and found this SanDisk 16 GB flash drive. When we put it into my computer, we found photos and a slideshow for a funeral for a older woman who passed in 2017. If you lost a USB drive at a thrift store on Dupont recently, please get in contact so we can return it!

EDIT: yes, I know that it was stupid of me to put a random USB in my computer. I tested it on a cheap Walmart laptop first, and I decided that it was safe when I saw the memorial slideshow and folders of old images.
