So you don't need the BATC window or panel if you confortable with it but you just want a quick at a glance idea of it's status (if your message has been received, if ATC is processing the response etc ...)

Yes i have the prem full edition and with sim brief i can load the whole flight.

So I saved some money and I can't decide what GPU should I buy. I have to choose between RTX 2070, RX 5700 XT . That's the best I can get for my budget in my country.
I am going to play mainly Xplane12 or MSFS 2024 with Toliss, Fenix, PMDG 738/777, ini a350 and etc.
Maybe someone here has similar GPU's and they can share their experience and frames).

Please can somebody help me with the Hawker 800XP? Every time I fly it this week, everything works just perfectly unless I have an arrival programmed into the FMC.

This morning I set up the entire FMC including the STAR and ILS into LEIB, and when that is in, NAV or VNAV do not arm or engage. When I delete the STAR and approach, NAV and VNAV are available again.

Here is a screenshot today. I tried to fly from KLAX to KFFZ, and programmed the FMC except for the arrival into KFFZ. As soon as I put in the RNAV 04R and STAR into the FMC, NAV mode disengaged and it went into 'Roll', and I am unable to fly direct to any waypoints in NAV mode or use VNAV. Also, all of the ETA and fuel predictions on the ND blank out.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or if this is just a bug?

I’ve got my hardware sorted (TCA Sidestick + Honeycomb Bravo) and I'm looking for a new study-level jetliner to dive into for MSFS 2024.

I am primarily a "systems guy." I’m not necessarily looking for a high-workload, hand-flying experience; I want to interact with complex aircraft logic. I spend almost all my time flipping switches, managing the underlying panels, twisting knobs, and digging into deep FMS configuration.

Right now, I'm looking at the MD-11, the MD-80, and the FSS 727.

For someone who wants the best underlying systems fidelity and logical interaction, which of these would you recommend?

I'm sorry for the rant but I had to just to be very very honest. I don't understand why I kept getting IP-banned from X-plane.org even I've done nothing except downloading addons.

Very ridiculous! I suspect my IP has changed time to time due to ISP nature like T-Mobile. Because of the change, I might have got into an IP that on the ban list. Not the First time I got IP ban in X-plane.org, it happened last week and my IP ends with 242.

I had a feeling I wanted to stop using x-plane.org all because of that. Even worse I heard rumors about their problems ranging from censorship, terrible moderation (happens to one users in discord), and now unnecessary ID verification from x-plane.org store purchase. I suspext this IP ban can be contagious and destroy my X-plane.org account.

The flight menu either breaks or the map just blacks out, how can I fix this

This is such a great news!! Gaya Simulations is making PMDG’s 747-400 cockpit and knowing their top notch high quality airports (especially for textures and details) I’m sure they will do a stunning job on the 747, so excited for this!!

I have been using FSLTL in msfs 2020 and 2024 before going to Vatsim, but, to my knowledge it has no 757 model. VATSIM is going to be packed with 75’s, are there others libraries and .vmr’s to use?

Im looking into buying a weather engine but honestly im torn between the two. Stratawx i hear looks like a vibe coded Ai Slop and Active sky fs sounds like the safer choice wth its experience. I just want Live weather. Thats it. Nothing less or more. I want to be immersed and enjoy. I also hear of RealTurb but I havent looked much into it and it doesnt seem as popular as these other two. Help me choose.

Many of you are aware of Flighty, the real world flight tracking app that keeps track of your flights as well as your friend's flights. Instagram popped up with Cobalt that released earlier this month and essentially has the same functionality for your sim.

It tracks and keeps record of your flights. It has live activities for iPhone. Just download the app on the App Store, create an account and download the bridge for your PC. I believe they are planning to bring support to Android in the near future as well.

I have done multiple long haul flights and have not noticed any memory leaks nor performance degradation as a result of using the Cobalt bridge connected to my phone.

I am using the free version but there is a paid Peak version that gets you more features as well. I have no direct affiliation with Cobalt or their team at all, just sharing a cool app I found and have been using that I think other simmers would enjoy using!

There are many talented livery makers out there, for whatever reason, I love making a cabin that looks as close as I can make it for them (if you make exteriors hit me up ill make a cabin for you)

For me, it is fun to do the full gate to gate immersion thing, so a nice livery appropriate cabin is important to me.

Anyway, some photos of a fictional Delta, United, and Alaska airlines cabin if the A340-300 was still going around today. I based them on their latest cabins other than Delta, I chose the classic for that one. The Alaska was inspired from their Aurora livery, which is my favorite I have done so far.

Gorgeous plane, in my opinion. I grew up in Edison Park, Chicago right in line for 27c. I remember seeing a few A340s go right over my house on final. (Park Ridge/Edison Park Niles area) if anyone knows where that is!

Imagine a newborn coming out of incubator…that is me in the flightsim hobby. Personally want HOTAS for immersion in games like WarThunder, Ace Combat, and DCS, which would benefit from HOTAS, but I also am very interested in games like Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen, and SW:Squadrons which would benefit from HOSAS… am I forced to get HOSAS to enjoy space games? Is a throttle even necessary if I have little plans to fly airliners?

Ironically, I got an ad blocker a few months ago because of the insane number of ads everywhere on flightsim.to

Now they are completely ruining it for those using an ad blocker by having this pop up every single time you click on something. I sent a support request asking them to get rid of this pop up and stop punishing users to which they just told me to pay for premium without ads.

Part of their response to my support ticket was the following: "If you compare the amount of ads on Flightsim.to compared to other websites in the industry, and you'll quickly realize that our advertising is actually quite limited.” I responded back with asking them to give me the websites they are referring to because in my research not a single other flight sim website that utilizes ads to operate gives users this pop up everywhere completely crippling the user experience.

Someone please create a new repository and website for MSFS add ons
