So, I'm currently getting all my battle classes to cap. I always do the daily hunts for the level range I'm at, but there are some creatures I refuse to touch for "they're way too cute/look too peaceful" reasons; those include, but are not limited to:

- Chocobos

- Alpacas

- Chirwagurs (after finishing the Yok Huy society quest, I just can't bring myself to fight them)

- All the wolves (and I can't stand that cry when you kill them)

So, I'm basically sacrificing some EXP and hunt currency for some creatures that don't even exist. So I was just curious: is anyone else weird like that?

Has there been any new word from the development team? Rak’Tika Greatwood has the potential to be so beautiful. As it is today it’s so jarring to enter the zone and be confronted with those barren grass textures. I hope it hasn’t been abandoned…

Hello! I was wandering around and went to Yuzuka Manor, the Namazu place, and I encountered these two rare hanging scrolls (I don't think I've seen them anywhere else, unlike the other two there, and I have done a reading of the calligraphy in the left one before), and the calligraphy on the right one is curious.

My reading does not make sense, as The One River in Japanese appears to be Munikō instead of Mujikō. Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

This is probably a stupid question but... I am trying to home transfer my character from NA to EU but when I select Shiva as my destination world, Siren is not listed as a world I can move my character from. I have paid for the two extra retainers I have, made sure I have no mail and nothing on the market board, my character is much older than 90 days and neither server is congested... I am out of ideas. Anyone out there that would know why this is happening?

Edit: After some messing around with a few different things it seems to be working again. No idea what I did or why it is working but it is. Thanks for all the replies trying to help me out! :D

I'm working on some various things, but feel like I need some better direction on my preparations for Evercold. What are you doing to prepare your WoL for the expansion?

Right now, all I've really done is get some gear sets for leveling the new jobs, but otherwise I haven't done anything out of the ordinary, and I'm hoping someone can spark an idea for some general things to work on before the expansion drops.

I've been wondering how people generally give and receive commendations in FF14.

Since most regular dungeon content isn't particularly difficult, do you actually pay attention to how everyone performs, or is it more of a quick "commend the tank/healer and leave" kind of thing?

Personally, I'm curious what makes someone stand out to you. Is it good gameplay, pulling extra packs, keeping the run smooth, being friendly in chat, or something else entirely?

And for those of you who farm commendations for achievements, do you approach it differently?

I'm interested to hear how everyone else does it!

Like the title says, ive been playing for almost a year, and after leveling a lot of DPS jobs, im thinking on givin a try to healing, the thing is I dont have a mouse and Keyboard so if anyone in here can give me some pointers an tips, that would be great.

So I'm a SCH main going through stormblood. I was curious what was available to SCH later on, so I watched a video on a SCH guide up to lvl 100.

My concern is: SCH (And presumably all the healers) get so many different types of healing, is casual group content really gonna get that complicated that I am gonna need all these situational healing spells? Or is a lot of it for like savage difficulty or something? I have no interest doing any sort of harder difficulty content. I just wanna do my MSQ and daily roulettes.

I’ve been looking up stuff about the free trial and when stuff became available in it as the game got bigger. So my question is when do you the more knowledgeable people of ffxiv think dawntrail, and more importantly to me pictomancer will be available to free trial players?

This used to happen on my base PS5, and now I notice it on my PS5 Pro too. Every time I change the resolution, I see a quick flash of rainbow artifacting. Is this like a known thing cause i haven't found anything about this online.

I literally hear just 'Scorching sands' along with 'Thirst for more' and that's it, lol

So I'm getting the hang of tanking by now, I've been playing GNB for a while and got to lvl 72 recently. I'm really loving the job, everything about it is really cool and I don't mind the busy rotation.

But there's something I've been wondering for a while. I normally main WHM and I usually stick close to my tank in dungeons, and usually the rest of the party does so as well. Sometimes the tank runs ahead and it's hard to keep up, but I always stay behind them when they're pulling mobs.

But when I play tank, I almost always notice a couple of players running ahead instead. I don't know if I'm being too slow, I'm doing wall to wall pulls, and I always let them know I'm relatively new to tanking and I'm open to feedback.

A few days ago I was doing The Temple of the Fist, and I let my party know I'm still learning tanking and it was the first time doing this dungeon. But I noticed the AST running ahead and pulling the mobs, they got themselves killed 3 times because of this. We eventually got past them, but I'm now wondering if I'm doing something wrong if this is happening whenever I tank.

For reference, I am following the advice I got for pulling mobs, run to them and do my AOEs (Demon Slice + Demon Slaughter and Lighting Shot for stragglers). Wall to wall pulling and using my mits.

It would look so much better if we could add a name above each witch.

When you recruit a character in FFR, you get to see a montage of footage from their game of origin during the process. For XIV's rep Y'shtola, it shows a lot of scenes from 2.0-4.x stuff, but a really surprising point of note is the few scenes they include that involve the player character show this Lalafell in a DT fending set.

Feels weird to see a promotional-style footage for FFXIV from official Square Enix media not using the default approved Meteor but instead seemingly one of the developers characters using footage recorded for the game.

A real curiosity, and kind of a fun note. I wonder who worked on the game that got their WoL semi-canonized in a divergent timeline.

Can anyone please confirm that the DLSS > FSR in this game by a noticeable amount and if FFXIV still performs better on NVIDIA hardware?
