Hey everyone!
I wanted a centered image header with a precise two-column sysinfo table beneath it for my 1366x768 Hyprland setup. Since getting pixel-perfect alignment and exact cursor placement can be tricky with standard fastfetch configs, I ended up writing a lightweight, self-contained Bash script (fetch.sh).
fastfetch binary required: It uses standard Linux utilities (uname, free, pacman, uptime, awk, sed) to gather system stats.kitty +kitten icat (with chafa fallback) to render the centered logo without overlapping the text table beneath.printf spacing engineered specifically to keep the columns and middle separators consistent across all system specs.Simply added ~/.config/fastfetch/fetch.sh to my ~/.bashrc (along with alias fastfetch="~/.config/fastfetch/fetch.sh")

Fastfetch 2.70.0 is out today: https://github.com/fastfetch-cli/fastfetch/releases/tag/2.70.0
Some changes can affect existing configs, so check these first.
The Command module option useStdErr is now useOutput. It takes "stdout", "stderr" or "both", and the default is "both". If your command logs to stderr, that output is now captured instead of discarded. Set it to "stdout" or "stderr" to get the old behavior back.
QuickJS format scripting is removed. It was deprecated in 2.69.0, so move any scripts to Lua.
The Disk module lost {size-available} in custom formats. {size-free} now follows the disk.useAvailable option.
The Shell module now reads the shell from /etc/passwd instead of $SHELL.
On Linux, libpulse and libddcutil are no longer used. Sound also has a new ALSA fallback, so machines with no sound server report their output device and volume instead of an error.
A few Linux fixes are worth a mention. External monitors detected over DDC/CI were randomly reported as built-in. The Vulkan driver name was getting mixed up with a previous device on multi-GPU systems. The foot terminal font size is now parsed correctly for names like Berkeley Mono-12.
Android got a big batch of additions. That includes sound, display, battery and media detection. Windows has some LocalIP and Disk quota fixes. There is also Finnish language support and a new filled Artix logo.

the coding theme is dynamically picked from the fastfetch image, but can also be hard coded.
