Mod team STICKY: READ THIS POST BEFORE ASKING FOR HELP NSFW

1. Lubricating eyedrops (by u/arcadeflyer)

An amazing majority of non-serious eye issues can be resolved by using artificial tears. Symptoms include but are not limited to, : foreign body sensation, watery eyes, red eyes, sticky eyelids, fluctuating vision and itchy eyes. Some pointers:

  1. The brand does not matter
  2. The contents do; do NOT get anything that says it is for “redness relief” or has an “astringent” in it. Just get “ocular lubricants” only. There are some combination products that have both. Don’t use those either.
  3. Some are thicker than others. Eyedrops are liquid. Gel drops feel thicker. Ointments are the thickest. Your vision may get temporarily blurry with the thicker stuff, ointment in particular.
  4. You can take them a few times a day. If using a bottle, take them up to 4 times a day. If using more often than that, then use non-preserved formulations (the vials with the twist-off cap).

Be advised: there are no pharmaceutically active medications in artificial tears. So you do not need a prescription for them; you can get them in the pharmacy over the counter aisles. If they don’t help your problem even a little bit, then something else is going on and you should see an eye doctor. For quick instant relief, use artificial tears.

2. Yes, artificial tears will help your watery eye (by u/arcadeflyer)

Quick rundown of why this is the case. I know it’s counterintuitive.

The eye surface should always be moisturized with a thin layer of tears. That tear layer ought to stick to the surface evenly on its own. In lots of people, it doesn’t. Instead, it either evaporated off the surface or it rolls right off the surface and down your cheek.

Most people call this dry eye. I had a mentor once who hated that term. For good reason! It’s confusing. “How can my eyes be dry if they’re watering all the time?” He (and I) prefer instead the term “dysfunctional tear syndrome.” Your tears aren’t sticking to the surface of your eye like they ought to.

3. Warm compresses (by u/arcadeflyer)

Warm compresses are just clean washcloths rinsed in warm water, held gently against your closed eyelids for about 5-10 minutes at a time, 2 to 3 times a day. For most ocular surface instability problems, the instability comes from the Meibomian glands in the eyelids being plugged up. Those glands usually secrete oils that mix in with your natural tear film to stabilize it. When the glands are plugged, the oils don’t mix well, and that causes the instability. Symptoms from this instability are all over the place: pain, double vision, glare, haloes, blurry vision. This treatment actually works better than the artificial tears for fixing it in the long term (the artificial tears only help the symptom in the short term) but these warm compresses need to be done very consistently and for a while to actually have a good effect. For long term amelioration, use warm compresses and stick to them.

4. Is this ptosis? (by u/EyeDentistAAO & u/kingcornea)

This question is asked a lot, and the answer is the usual one: Based on the info provided, no one can say with certainty. Consider: The next time you’re watching a close-up of someone’s face on TV, pause the image at random moments and check out their lids—ou will definitely have some freeze-frames in which their lid margins are not aligned. If you were to judge by that one image, you’’ say they have ptosis. But when you watch them live, it’’ clear they don’t. If the appearance of your eyelids is bothersome to you, go see an ophthalmologist and get a proper evaluation.Ptosis is not common among young people. 7.9 per 100,000 for someone 19 and under for congenital ptosis. Most posts are from young adults worried about their appearance. Most are too young to have medical causes.

TL;DR A diagnosis of ptosis can be made only via a series of measurements acquired during an in-person exam.

5. What is this grey spot on my eyes?

While there are multiple possible options, people usually refer to Axenfeld Nerve Loops. This is a benign, or even normal finding.

6. Why did my prescription change a lot?

There are 2 possible answers to this question. First one must look for notation differences. Astigmatism can be written down in positive or negative values. There is an online tool which can "transpose" one prescription into another. For example these 2 prescriptions are 100% the same, the only difference lies in notation of the values: - S+2.00 C-1.00 axis 90 - S+1.00 C+1.00 axis 180

A different explanation could lie within the axis of the astigmatism. The axis gives the astigmatism a direction, ranging from 1 to 180. A value of 180 equals to 0, so 181 would equal to 1. A change of 177 to 2 degrees sounds like a lot (a 175 degree change) where in reality the difference is only a minor 5 degrees.

Other 23 M - my left eye just got really blurry/fuzzy 2 weeks ago and I have no idea why NSFW

Left eye is usually blurry, its been this way for about 2 weeks now

Hello, revently ive been really concerned because my left eye has been acting up, its really foggy and Im not sure if its getting worse.

Usually my eyes take a bit to focus in the morning, but the left one hasn't been focusing at all recently. Its all foggy like theres some water in it, or im just waking up. It doesnt hurt, its just very annoying, because half my vision is just blurry.

Whenever I take a shower and I wash my face it feels a bit better, but then it goes back to being blurry once im done. Im worried that its a part of a bigger condition I have to worry about, I really hoped this would just go away.

What should I do? Is this some small issue or am I gonna have to have my eye ripped out?

Other 29M Odd change in color? NSFW

Hey guys,

Zero drug use, no alcohol use.

I wanted to share something that happened to me today while I was out fishing, and I’m hoping to get some insight from someone.

I had hiked deep into the backcountry with my dog and was fishing alone. I’ve been experiencing some pain in my left eye, and last year I was diagnosed with HSV-1 herpetic keratitis in that eye. The infection significantly worsened my vision, and I was fortunate that it didn’t cause blindness. Thursday I had an eye exam and they said my eyes were strained from not wearing my glasses. But the herpes isn’t back. Although they did say it has a 100% chance of coming back in ten years.

Since then, I’ve made a habit of monitoring my vision closely a few times a week. I’ll cover one eye and then the other, comparing what I see to check for any changes, because I’m concerned about further vision loss.

Today, while I was fishing, there was a strong glare coming from my left side off the water as the sun was setting. I was looking through my binoculars, adjusting the focus and distance until I could see clearly, trying to look for fish breaking upstream.

After putting them down, I looked up at the sky and toward something in the distance. I decided to do my usual vision check, closing one eye and then the other.

That’s when I noticed something I’d never experienced before. With my left eye open, the blues of the sky and the greens of the trees seemed much deeper and more saturated. When I closed my left eye and looked through my right, the stones and rocks seemed to have greater depth and more vivid colors instead.

The difference between my eyes really caught me off guard and honestly scared me, especially given my history of HSV-1 keratitis and the vision changes I’ve already experienced. Since I was alone and deep in the backcountry, I decided not to take any chances. I packed up my gear and hiked back out. I’ve never had this before.

Now I am home and switching my eyes back and forth. I can see the slightest color difference in a white pillow across the room. It almost looks a bit more orange out of my right eye and whiter with my left.

I’ve never noticed this kind of difference in color perception between my eyes before. I’ve read online that differences in how each eye perceives color can sometimes be normal, but given my history and the fact that I’ve also been having pain in my left eye, I’m not sure what to make of it. But as I stated 3 days ago I was told eye strain.

I’d appreciate hearing your thoughts or any insight you might have. I had no other symptoms.

Thank you.

Retina 31F Prior retinal detachment surgeries caused a cataract, now getting cataract surgery NSFW

Had a retinal detachment in August 2025. Scleral buckle done first but did not hold. Vitrectomy gas bubble a week later which worked. Doctor told me I'd get a cataract eventually but overall everything was successful. Everything has remained stable as well.

My vision was weird right after, obviously the bubble made it look like I was underwater for like 6 weeks. Then when the bubble was gone my vision was kinda warped and fuzzy. I think the cataract was already forming at that point.

Well now we're over a year post op and I'm getting the cataract removed next week. Im going with "upgraded" options - laser to perform the cuts and to reshape my eye to remove my astigmatism and a PureSee IOL instead of the standard lens.

My doctor had to warn me though that my retina could be damaged from the surgeries and cause my vision to be less than perfect even with the cataract gone. This is obviously very scary to hear but I'm also taking it as my doctor legally having to advise me of all the possibilities. She said there's no way to know the results until I can tell them what I can see post-op.

Just want to know if anyone has had a similar experience and/or if any doctors out there have advice/insight.

Other 33m recurring pink eye NSFW

All started almost 3 years ago. I had conjunctivitis, probably due to an allergy. But after weeks one eye didnt recover. I had irritation around cornea. I visited physician, and I get antibacterial eyedrops. It didnt help, so after few weeks since all that started, I went to ophthalmologist.

The first diagnosis from ophthalmologist was:

Conjunctiva: irritated, particularly in the upper temporal quadrant. Cornea: smooth, shiny, transparent; unstable tear film; three papulopustular lesions extending from the temple toward the cornea.

He prescribed me eyedrops with dexamethasonum. Since this visit, I have taken them many times. It was always like that: its better, I get smaller dose, I stop taking it. Few weeks. And I have pink eye again.

After 9 months with recurrent symptoms, he suggested confoscan. I had it and there was nothing unusual - just hazy patches around the edge of the cornea, resembling the eye's reaction to staphylococcal toxins.

I have taken different eyedrops containing antibiotics so we could be sure that it wast staphylococcus.

After that confoscan, my ophthalmologist prescribed me dexamethasonum in higer dose. And that helped me for another few weeks, and symptoms came back.

This time I changed ophthalmologist and I had prescribed Cyclosporine. I was taking it 7 months, everything was fine during that period. I stopped taking it and symptoms came back…

I suggested to the ophthalmologist that it might be Sjögren's syndrome, but he said that it looks different. I also saw a doctor who specializes in autoimmune diseases, and based on my blood tests, he concluded that it doesn't seem to be an autoimmune disease

Idk what I can do. I take care of everyday routine, like using warm mask for eyes. I use moisturizing eye drops with lipids.

Often worsening of symptoms occur when: I forgot to use warm mask for eyes for one day or after cold / flu / covid (once I had covid, and next week I had this eye reaction).

What can I do? How can I rule out a serious illness, like cancer? I dont smoke, I dont take drugs, I drink very rarely, I had pollen allergies and no other conditions.

I already visited at least 6 different ophthalmologists, but they always try to cure sumptoms and didnt give me any new information…

34 female. About a month ago, a friend noticed a small “bump“ on my eye. It appears to be on the surface, and the redness has been ebbing and flowing after the ophthalmologist recommended lubricating eye drops. She also recommended a steroid drop, but I am actively going through fertility treatments and do not want to mess with my body in any way considering how expensive these treatments are. That might be silly, but it’s the only thing I have control over right now. This lesion is in my left eye and is causing no irritation whatsoever. I had no idea it was there before my friend pointed it out.

The ophthalmologist was not overly confident on what it was. She did identify pinguecula in both eyes, but did not think this specific spot looked like that. She mentioned a potential cyst, but it doesn’t look exactly like a typical cyst would. Thoughts? Has anyone else ever dealt with something like this? See attached photos. In one of the photos, my eye is yellow. That’s from the dye at the eye doctor.

Thank you!

Other 24F - Left eye has been weak all my life, glasses don’t help. NSFW

I’ve had this for as long as I can remember, and I’ve always wondered if anyone else experiences something similar or if anyone knows what this is.
My left eye has always seen things differently from my right eye. I have a lazy eye and astigmatism in that eye, so I’m not sure if either of those could be related.
When I cover my right eye and look through only my left, everything looks different in terms of brightness and contrast. The best way I can describe the contrast is like watching a video on an iPhone with HDR turned on, where the whites are INSANELY white and everything looks almost overly contrasted. It’s kind of like that, but with my actual vision.
There’s also what I can only describe as visual static, especially when I’m trying to read words. When I wear my glasses, the words become less blurry and sharper, so I can make out what they say depending on how big the text is, but there’s still so much static over the letters that I have to use an insane amount of brain power to process what I’m looking at. It’s like my eye can technically see the words, but my brain has to work overtime to interpret them.
I’ve had multiple eye exams and tests over the years, but all of my doctors say that it’s fine and I should be able to see with my glasses.
It’s hard to describe because I haven’t seen anyone else with this kind of issue. I’ve looked on the visual snow subreddit which is kind of also what I see but not exactly because of the high contrast and the difficulty reading letters.

Eyelids 28M Persistent discomfort in my left lower eyelid despite eye exams NSFW

Hi everyone. I’m looking for some guidance on what might be worth investigating next.

I have a persistent, unusual sensation around my left lower eyelid. It sometimes feels like the discomfort is coming from both the inside and outside of the eyelid. For the past six months, I’ve had intermittent episodes of eye redness. My optometrist suspected the redness might be related to screen fatigue and recommended eye drops. The redness resolved after I was prescribed Tobradex, but the unusual sensation around my lower eyelid has persisted.

Eye history (perfect vision, no nearsightedness)

Summer 2026: I began experiencing flashes and floaters. The flashes stopped, but the floaters remain in both eyes. They are especially noticeable against bright, uniform backgrounds, such as the sky or a white screen. An optometrist examined me urgently and did not find a retinal detachment or posterior vitreous detachment.

Recently: A retina specialist performed retinal angiography, OCT, and fundus photography. The overall impression I was given was that my eyes looked healthy and the floaters were probably physiological. However, I still don’t have a clear explanation for the recurring eyelid discomfort.

My questions
Could a localized problem involving the lower eyelid margin, meibomian glands, blepharitis, or the tear film cause this kind of persistent sensation?

Could something involving the conjunctiva, corneal surface, or outer corner of the lower eyelid be missed during a general eye examination?

Thank you un advance for your comments. I’ve been dealing with this for months, and the uncertainty has been frustrating. I’d be grateful for suggestions or similar experiences.

Eyelids 42 female lid margin irregularity NSFW

Post image
1 Upvotes

I'm a 42 year-old female with what I think is blepharitis. A few days a month, my eyes get insanely itchy, red and irritated. For about a year, I've had this very small thickening/bump on my lid margin. You can't even really see it in a regular picture so I took one to try to show it. It seems like it may have grown a TINY bit in width/across the line, but I'm not sure. Does anyone think this could be a BCC or is it relative to the blepharitis?

Retina 18F Lattice degeneration NSFW

race: white/hispanic (Uruguay)
medical conditions: none
current medication: birth control pills
smoking, alcohol and recreational drugs: i smoke marihuana very occasionally, although some. months i might use it once a week. I drink alcohol only twice a month.
A few days ago, I posted about what I was experiencing. I had eye floaters and flashes of light. I went back to the ophthalmologist, and they referred me for an urgent vitreoretinal examination because the doctor told me that some areas of my retina looked whiter and seemed to be weak.
Yesterday, the doctor told me that I have lattice degeneration in the lower part of my retina, he wrote “lattice inferior h 6 a h 8” (He wrote it like that in Spanish, I don’t know how to say it in English)meaning that some areas of my retina are thinner and weaker. I need to undergo laser photocoagulation.
I don’t understand any of this, and I have so many questions. More than anything, I’m scared because I feel like I’m going to lose my vision or that something worse might happen to me at such a young age.

Hi! I’m an emt who recently began working at a renal clinic to expand my PTC experience. I failed the shit out of the colorblind test they gave me (I am red green deficient though I don’t know the severity) they are trying hard to work with me and offered me to take their ishahara test with glasses on. I’m curious to know if anyone credible has any recommendations that could help? I can differentiate between colors rather easily, however, have always struggled with the pastel colors in the ishahara tests. Thank you!

Prescriptions 25F No longer need to wear glasses? NSFW

Hi all,

I recently had an eye appointment and my eyesight has improved so much that it is near 20/20 vision. This past visit, he did not even hand me my vision prescription as I no longer need to wear glasses if I do not want to. It was a full eye health appointment including checks for glaucoma etc. This is a reputable doctor and he does a great job!

I first got glasses in 5th grade as I was having trouble reading the board, and wore them consistently until my sophomore year of college. When I was younger I had plans to get Lasik surgery because wearing glasses bothered me so much. In 2020, I stopped wearing my glasses to work, as they would constantly get dirty or foggy as I worked at a restaurant and had to wear a mask. Over the next few years, my vision had greatly improved and for the past ~2 years I have only worn my glasses while driving. The past year, I only have worn my glasses while driving at night. Now, I only need to wear them for comfort/placebo effect (my vision gets mildly worse with them on, but I find that wearing the glasses makes me feel less "naked" and more focused while driving, as I am used to wearing them).

My eye doctor was not concerned and was impressed during my most recent appointment. His only explanation was "sometimes these things happen." Has anyone heard of this happening, or had this happen to them as well? I understand my vision was never "bad" but I was most definitely near-sighted!

  • I do not have a full prescription history but my prescription in 2023 was -0.50 and -0.75, and I know in high school it was -1.50 -1.25.
  • I have some astigmatism (starbursts) but it did not change with glasses and has only been noted in 1/3 of my prescriptions as it comes and goes.
  • My current medications are Wellbutrin 150mg. I smoke occasionally, and do not drink.
  • My only medical situation is I have dry eyes and need to use eye drops twice a day.
  • Non-diabetic and no other medical complications besides osteoporosis from anorexia as a teen.

TL;DR vision has massively improved from child/teenage years and I have been cleared to never wear glasses again unless I have the desire to.

Other 20F - stick diffuser oil possibly in eye NSFW

Hi, today I might have accidentally gotten a bit of stick diffuser oil (like a mix of essential oils, I guess) in my eye. I was setting up the diffuser according to the instructions and I believe a trace amount of the oil might have gotten on my hands. Minutes later, I forgot about it and rubbed my eye.

My vision is fine, my eye was a little bit itchy, but nothing major. I rinsed it under running water 2 separate times (for like 5 minutes in total). Right now it just feels a bit uncomfortable, like it's dry. I am worried about potential long-lasting damage from it, should I go to a doctor?

Other 43F - Nodular Scleritis/Nodular Episcleritis Advice NSFW

Zero history of eye issues. Had a bizarre anticholinergic reaction during dilation at a routine eye exam in January and developed nodular scleritis shortly after - shooting pain from my eye to my jaw took me to the ER in the middle of the night, it did not blanch.

Did a round of Naproxen, multiple systemic prednisone tapers with drops, and prednisolone drops alone all with long tapers and none of them held for more than a couple of days.

Every recurrence has blanched since so my ophthalmologist is presuming it was scleritis the first time but has been episcleritis the 5 times it's flared since.

But I have a severe headache the night before each recurrence and a more moderate headache for the first several nights when it flares, the eye pain isn't always severe but it isn't just mild and irritating, and I experience severe light sensitivity when it is flaring...so it doesn't necessarily line-up cleanly with either.

There have only been maybe 4 days in the whole ten months when it was totally clear and I thought it might actually be over. Every other day, even when it looks fine, it feels like it is festering and will return with any wrong move.

Standard workups have all been negative. Rheumatology and Immunology both shrugged and said it has nothing to do with them. ESR and CRP have been high all year.

My ophthalmologist gave up and referred me to a uveitis specialist, assuring me they would know what to do. I went in pushing for an escalated treatment plan and they sent me home with lubricating drops and warm compress instead and told me to come back in a few months. Ophthalmologist treated each recurrence like it was extremely time sensitive and saw me next day - uveitis specialist has blown it off and won't see me again in person.

I've been on prednisolone, lubricating drops, and compress this time around for more than 8 weeks and it is not doing anything except raising pressure and irritating the crap out of the skin under my eye.

Is this just life now, suffering and rotating on and off steroids hoping something sticks?

Should I still be presuming it is just episcleritis at this point?

Is there a more aggressive treatment option I should be pushing for? Everything I'm reading is saying it is self-limiting and should be over in a few weeks and treatment options tap out at NSAIDs/systemic corticosteroids.

And for how long do I sit with this stupid compress doing nothing until I really start demanding an escalation plan?

Other 29 F Driving at night with an "irregular astigmatism" NSFW

Due to continuing to have "ghost images" and "starburst/halos" (hx. 10 years) even after corrective lenses, corneal topography was done revealing bilateral irregular astigmatisms. The doctor said it wasn't quite to the point of keratoconus, but did recommend considering Scleral contacts in the future. Currently, during the day with my glasses I can see ok to drive, but at night I am having a lot of difficulty. My doctor said that my vision was corrected enough that I could drive at night currently, but I can hardly see a thing. I can't drive anymore at night to places that I haven't been and am really struggling with familiar routes (i.e. from home to work)

My doctor said scleral lenses are difficult to fit, a long process, and expensive. Would getting scleral contacts help me be able to drive at night with more confidence? Are there any other options?

Hey everyone,

I recently had a laser procedure to heal some tears in my retina (both eyes, much more on the left eye instead though). There was some difficulty with my left eye getting it to stay open with the laser so the doctor said he’d inject some lidocaine and then try. My eye now has what I believe is a subconjunctival hemorrhage (sorry if I got this wrong). Its pretty significant basically my entire eye is bloody and its been like this for a bit more than a week. It wasnt as bad the day of the procedure and got worse as the week went on. I start a new job in 2 weeks and would really rather not show up looking half possessed, is there anything at all I can do to help this, or are there any cosmetic things out there I could look into to lessen it? If not about how long will it take to heal? Am I safe to go back to the gym without risking more blood vessels breaking from straining? Would avoiding blue light help? Would smoking weed have any negative effect? Any help would be super appreciated as this has been a really frustrating issue, thank you so much.

A few weeks ago I noticed I had these blood vessels in my eye. I would get this every once in a while due to lack of sleep or eye strain but they would always go away in a few days. These vessels have stayed and when I looked closely in the mirror today I noticed they were leading up to what seems like a white pump on the edge of my iris. Slight irritation but the irritation isn’t coming directly from the location of the dot.

I JUST saw an ophthalmologist for the first time ever right before this happened and he said everything looked perfectly fine and then this pops up shortly after. Funny how that works!

i’ve had a clogged oil gland in my eyelid since about May warm compresses and stuff didn’t work to fix it and I was hesitant about going to the doctor cause I didn’t want a needle to be stuck in my eye. Other 34M, should I get a second opinion? NSFW

Hi y’all, went in for an eye exam yesterday and was surprised to be diagnosed with a macular hole with “significant fluid” after what felt like a longer appointment than normal. They took pictures of my eyes and dilated them, made me look in a bunch of directions while shining lights in my eyes, all that. Finally, eye doctor shows me the images they took and said I needed a surgery consult immediately to prevent any damage. Yikes, ok! I take that shit seriously and they referred me to a specialist for an appointment scheduled for this morning.

Went in this morning to another doctor, and he did another eye exam, and what do you know, he says he doesn’t see anything. Then he asked me what the other doctor said word for word, so I told him — macular hole with significant fluid. The earlier doctor didn’t send me away with any images or notes so the doctor from this morning said he’d ask to have those sent over to him but mostly that I have nothing to worry about.

I don’t know man. I’m feeling all kinds of whiplash and I didn’t feel like the doctor from this morning was taking me seriously when I said that I’d like to be proactive about the situation, whatever it is. He just sent me on my way and said he’d see me next year. But because the previous doctor was so concerned I’m kind of like, should I try and get referred to someone else?

Would be happy to hear from patients and professionals alike. I don’t have any images to share, but learned my lesson about asking for copies I guess.

Generally healthy, just got a physical and full blood panel a few months ago. Might have subclinical hypothyroidism but that’s all I can think of that’s relevant. Don’t drink often and don’t smoke at all.

Went to optometry today for a standard routine eye exam and part of it included an eye scanner which I’ve never done before.

Optometrist identified some leakage of left eye and is sending a referral in for Eye Doctor care team to check to see whether it could be something like Coats Disease. He wasn’t as concerned and said some laser treatment could help but the more I research into it, the more I am overthinking.

Asian. Worn glasses for majority of life. Generally healthy, never smoked, don’t drink, exercise regularly. Eyes don’t hurt / no vision impact. No family history eg diabetes that I know of.

Going down the rabbit hole scares me but while I wait for a specialist visit, is there any guidance on my exam scan?

Many thanks!

Other 26M, corretive eye surgery with Behcets disease NSFW

hello everyone, im a 26year old guy and just found out there is a significant probability that I have Behcet Disease (my parents are Turkish). My question is as professionals would you still recommend me to get some type of corrective eye surgery because I was always thinking about getting it at around this age. I have near-sightedness with -5 dioptren on both eyes. Also I was thinking about getting Relex smile instead of Lasik or Lasek.

Additional question: I would like to keep doing combat sports after my surgery. Is Relex smile the best option considering that I'll get punched in the face/possibly the eye.

Thanks for any help in advance :)

hi, on sunday i noticed redness under my eyes like small patches of it. on monday it was the same situation with the right eye being a bit of a bigger patch, and on tuesday i noticed swelling. mainly on the bottom right side of it and redness traveling up to my eyelid. Today, my eye is significantly more swollen, this time covering my entire undereye. Some other things noted are my nose has been so congested but not in a runny nose way- just in the way where it feels plugged. my first thought was allergies, but i took a zyterc yesterday and today it’s even worse. I took an Ibuprofen today instead to reduce swelling.
does anyone have any clue WTF this is? it’s freaking me out
I’ve attached photos in sequence order. the first one you can see a small red rash above the skin, second photo was yesterday, 3&4 are this morning.

I do not smoke, and the last time i drank was on friday. I am not on any medication. I do not use any recreational drugs.

Other 22F Tiny bit of ordinary 7% glycolic acid went into my eye. What do I do? NSFW

Tiny bit of ordinary glycolic acid went into my eye. Had stinging sensation immediately. I immediately washed it with plain water. The stinging has stopped, and there is no redness or anything or no pain in the eye. Should I still go to the doc tmr?

I dipped my eye in a small glass of water for around 10 mins. There is no redness or any irritation before, but now after continuously dipping my eye in the water, there is a little redness and dryness in my eye. I did go to ER, they told me, it’s nothing and to go home. But they did not check my eye. I am concerned. What do I do? They just asked if I have washed my eye.
