Tharael quests

Game is great but this questline suck so much, what are even those quests? first you search for some grave, then u search for some clues for that ex rhalata girl in the cave, and now i am searching old orphanage. I was looking forward to some cool assasin thief questline, not playing columbo simulator looking over every pixel on monitor in dark rooms.

Just noticed I can't read books while listening to the bards song!

• Upvotes

Not my first playthrough of Enderal, love the game and trying to get deeper on the lore through the books. And while I'm on the Drunken Bee I just noticed that when I pause the game to go for my items and start reading a book, I can't hear the bard song anymore.

Now now, while writing this I noticed that yeah, it makes sense that this, besides not being essencial for the experience, could deconcentrate the reading for some people. It's just that it isn't my case, I don't mind listening to something while reading, especially when the bards songs are so good, and the books here are more lenghty. Idk, it looks like a missed chance to pay more attention to the songs while going deep on the books, since the taverns normally have some books here and there for you to read!

How to get an accessible loft in the merchant house using console commands

  1. (Not strictly necessary, but I recommend it so you can find the objects you are placing easily) Without anything selected in the console menu, type "tcl" to disable clipping for your character. Then walk out of bounds. (When you're done with this tutorial, you can walk back inbounds and type "tcl" again to enable clipping for your character again. Make sure you don't have anything selected in the console when you do this, though!)
  2. Type "player.placeatme 0007ba78" to spawn in the stairs.
  3. Select the stairs in the console.
  4. Type the following commands to position the stairs: "setangle x 0", "setangle y 0", "setangle z 180", "setpos x 2000", "setpos y 2336.5", "setpos z 603.56"
  5. (Optional) You can move the stairs along the x axis by changing the number if you want them in a slightly different position. Example: "setpos x 1990" will move them slightly towards the corner.
  6. Type the commands "disable" then "enable" to reset the collision box for the stairs.
  7. Type "player.placeatme 00060c3c" to spawn in the missing top of the beam (The developers didn't place it because you normally can't go up there).
  8. Select the beam in the console (you may have to move your camera around to find it because it is invisible from all but one side).
  9. Type the following commands to position the beam: "setscale 2", "setangle x 270", "setangle y 90", setangle z 270", "setpos x 2680", "setpos y 2180", "setpos z 1418"
  10. Type the commands "disable" then "enable" to reset the collision box for the beam.

And you're all set! Enjoy your loft!

(Bonus) Remove the window behind the fireplace with console commands:

  1. Select the wall with the offending window in the console.

  2. Type "disable" to banish it to the shadow realm.

  3. Type "player.placeatme 00063e41" to spawn in a new, windowless wall.

  4. Select the new wall in the console.

  5. Type the following commands to position the wall: "setangle x 0", "setangle y 0", "setangle z 270", "setpos x 1975.59", "setpos y 1762.62", "setpos z 603.2"

  6. Type the commands "disable" then "enable" to reset the collision box for the wall.

Mod Quicksaves with PotP?

Started my PotP playthrough yesterday and I'm really liking it so far. However I'm now 4 hours in and now have 96 save files. It looks like the game is creating a new manual save every time I hit F5. Is this a feature of PotP and is there a way to revert it to the regular quicksave system?

Enderal First Time: Defeating the Ash Widow [Minor Spoilers] Spoiler

For the first time in my life, I've battled and defeated the Ash Widow.

Holy smokes I love this game. The mere fact that you have to figure out how to locate the Dal'Gorak Claw and obtain it without any clues from the quest marker made it feel like I was actually delving into the legend. Although I might have some sort of bug because the museum display case refers to the claw as some sort of resonator. Idk.

I did make one mistake however: I set the Recall spell right in the courtyard of the castle so when I teleported with the claw in hand, the Ash Widow spawned right behind me and annihilated me the first time. Got her on the second try tho.

And the loot felt actually rewarding. I don't know if it's set or randomised within some parameters, but I got myself a snazzy Mythical Spell book... Which I can't learn :'( and a whole character level, jumping from 13 to 14 in one go.

Man this game is good.
