I know parking over night in EMU lots is allowed now without a permit (8pm to 8am). I’m wondering if i park past 8am, will I be towed? Especially on the weekend, is this restriction enforced?

I don’t have a permit. I’m not a student but I live near campus in apartments. My cars been broken into several times recently. I asked the police what I should do to prevent break ins. They reccomended to park in the emu Lots overnight but didn’t say much more than that.

Campus police were going NUTS today with parking tickets. I’m a transfer student and I’m genuinely so fed up with the way this campus is set up. There’s not enough parking, parking is expensive, and the parking permit portal doesn’t even work. Every time I’ve tried to get one it wouldn’t even let me pay. And this was before there was a ridiculously long waitlist for parking.

Include parking in tuition or give me $200🫩 How are you going to be known as a commuter school and then make parking on campus inaccessible to us?

I live ON CAMPUS and when I moved in there was cockroaches. honestly this school has not been helpful at all, they took over a month to start “treatment” which appears invisible to the naked eye, but apparently they did them. After three “treatments” we were done but now I’m finding roaches in my apartment again and they’re trying to say I’m the problem or something, when they didn’t treat it properly to begin with.

Anyone else have a problem with a loud-ass suitemate doing the deed via self-pleasure essentially every week? The goober even has a girlfriend he sees almost everyday. Just get an apartment with her, man. Goddamn Walton Hall.

Now the Eagles. 29-3 over Lindenwood ended a three-game losing streak. Noah Kim went 23 of 38 for 257 and two TDs, Benson Prosper had his first career 100-yard game (10 catches, 109, a TD), and Kessinger hit a career-long 51-yarder. They scored on the first three drives.

At 2-3, the losses came at Michigan State, at Wisconsin, and a one-score game against San José State. Now the real season starts: at UMass Saturday at 3:30 on ESPN+. UMass is 4-0 and one of the best stories in the G5 right now, so this is a real test.

There is a St.Joes/IHA pharmacy connected to the Urgent Care on the North side of campus.

I went to Urgent Care today and they sent my meds there and they were pretty much ready by the time I checked out. And the lady there got all my scripts transferred from CVS, so I don't have to catch a ride or take a bus.

As if stealing our “Michigan State” name wasn’t enough, they went out and stole our school colors too. It’s time we take a win from those losers in Lansing.

If anyone sees this goose and he seems lethargic please call the Humane Society at (734) 661-3512 they previously tried to catch him and now I would like to keep an eye on his health.

I first saw this goose yesterday around the pond and it seems he got caught in some netting for new grass growth. Today he seems a little bit more distressed and animal control came by and they were not able to catch him I was told to call back if he seems more lethargic as he would be easier to catch and help.

I’m sure there’s someone I can actually contact at EMU, but I’m embarrassed so I’m crowd sourcing here first to figure out next steps.

Back in 2022, I began a masters program at emu. I completed one class, then found out I was pregnant and life sort of got a little hectic with serious anxiety and PPD.

As I have come out of the haze of PPD/A I’ve started to realize that I would like to return to finish my graduate degree. But, I don’t believe I ever contacted anyone to defer my studies. I think I just dropped my enrollment and sort of forgot about it.

My question is: does anyone know if I can reenroll and continue to work towards completing my masters, and if so, will my previous class still count?

Bonus question: who would be the best person to contact for help with this?

I recently transferred here for a shitty college town school, and I’ll say this one is shitty. I’m not sure if they’re running a money laundering operation in this shit, but they overcharge for EVERYTHING here. They obviously do not care about the students as much as their income. And most of the shit here is lazy at best insulting at worst. How can we fix it? I can’t be here for the next couple of years and run myself in debt for this bullshit. Please don’t come in here defending the schools name I’m not into fake shit. How can we actually improve some of this shit?

The Speech Neurophysiology Lab at the University of Michigan is looking for children who stutter ages 9 to 12 to participate in an in-person, longitudinal MRI study! (HUM00196133)

Our research team has been examining brain development in young children to better understand the cause of stuttering for over 10 years. We continue to gain information that may eventually lead to improved diagnosis and treatment efforts for children who stutter. 

Participants will be invited to complete speech and language assessments and an MRI session at the University of Michigan. Families receive a free speech and language report and a picture of their brain!

These visits require in person participation. There is no option to participate virtually.
