PSA Don’t count on your 99watt electric skateboard to get through TSA
Hey guys this is just a warning I was flying back home from Newark to Atlanta with my Exway wave coming back from the broadway bomb in NYC. My battery and wheels were completely separated from the skateboard and it passed through multiple tsa checkpoints before that so I was assuming it was all good. Then I was going through TSA again and they flagged it because it’s still an electric board to them. Then they said I could fly with it if I get written permission from frontier (the airline I was going on) they denied it and I wasn’t allowed to take my board with me.

Review 100 mile Omw hussar with tkp trucks review
Ok so to begin this review I wanna say one thing im coming from a backfire g2z. The power on this board is ridiculous I've barely touched mode 4. The tires are amazing one thing I've noticed though is that you csn feel the tread on the tires. Offloading is easy as pie. I got the medium flex deck and its still pretty flexxy. The couple gripes I have about this board is while yes its stable at high speeds if you hit a bump just rigth the board flexes and i throws you to the side and my only other grip i have to say is when I first got the board I thought I wasnt going to need to replace the bushings but I do but othere then that this board is amazing it carves really nice and I havent killed the battery yet but that bc it was my normal route on my g2z but if ur looking for a board in the 1100$ range and want a flexxy board i think this is the way to go you can also get the calvery but that is a more stiff board pmk if yhere are any questions and ill answer then

Question Motor Seizing Up
One of my motors is seizing up periodically. When it happens it never fully seizes up and starts to roll again. AI says it could be the bearings in the motor, ferrous debris or magnet chunking. If I disconnect the motor from the esc will this tell me if it's the bearings or one of the other issues? If it is one of the other issues how do I fix that? There are currently no replacements available atm and my board is my sole transportation. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks fam

Question Best electric board under 700 bucks
What would you guys say the best board is for under 700 bucks, I am open to any boards, I have been looking three boards, isinwheel v10, linepower zepher base and the acedeck Stella breeze base, can’t decide if I should go with isninwheel with the at tires and good performance but it not being a skateboard brand, or linnpower with good parts, and being a reliable board company, but smaller wheels

Discussion Why not this direction?
Is there simply not a market for boards like this? I would never ride any eskate at a skatepark but the shape of this board looks much more like an actual skateboard vs a motorized plank of fiberglass.

Discussion Choosing a high end board
Hi,
I’ve been riding for about a year now on Bay Area hills, I’m 65kg and I have the Tynee Stinger gear drive, its acceleration and braking is good but it can only fit 105s and I want something that’s noticeably better.
I mostly ride on the streets and asphalt, and it’s a pain with how rough the roads are so I was thinking of using tires instead. No trails for AT where I live.
I was thinking about buying the Linnpower THE ONE PRIME or the new Exway Atlas Pro v3, any experienced eskate riders have any advice?
I heard THE ONE is very fast but also the Atlas Pro has 4 motors with 10.6 kW sustained output so could it even beat THE ONE in acceleration? I get that it’s new and I don’t want to take the risk with an untested board. But the new curved magnet motors, find my integration, on board display, and new LEDs are awesome.
My budget is around $2-3k, I care about acceleration more than anything but also smoothness when riding at high speeds. Radium Mach One S can be considered too. If I’m going the wrong direction here please let me know any alternative boards I should know about.

DIY ITS ALIVE ⚡⚡
I have the racing kit since Unlimited released it, and a while ago I just found another barely used one for 250€ and decided to put them together. I've been testing it and I printed some supports for the remotes and so far I can say is completely insane, one kit was already very powerful now two is mental, the way it pulls is otherworldly 🤯🤯🤯
I'm taking it slow and enjoying the 4x4 feeling, the only downside I'm really feeling is that the board weighs 894 thousand kilos, besides that nothing to complain about. After all those years of daily use and is crazy that still goes like the first day, I had 2 boosted before this and is on another level of durability.

Discussion Upgraded to a Linnpower Mini 5 (coming from an Elwing Nimbus 1)
I paid 441,40 €, shipping included. Absolute night and day difference. Battery up to 40 km range and top speed up to 46 km/h. Even the 85mm urethane wheels are flexible and feel close to my previous 120mm Cloudwheels. The reversed trucks feel so nimble I had to tighten them a little bit.

Discussion Looking for a reliable electric longboard under €450 — shipping to Poland
Hey everyone!
I’m looking for a reliable electric longboard to replace my previous custom-built board, which unfortunately broke down. I’m not a complete beginner when it comes to electric skateboards, so I’m mainly looking for something reliable that I can use for regular cruising and carving.
My budget is around €450 (roughly 2,000 PLN), and I’m based in Poland.
What I’m looking for:
A real-world range of around 25 km, ideally 25–35 km, with an 85 kg rider
A top speed of around 30 km/h
Good carving and a comfortable ride on paved roads
A reliable brand with decent customer support and readily available replacement parts
Shipping to Poland, preferably from an EU warehouse
I’ve been looking at Tynee, Backfire and WowGo, but I’m struggling to figure out which brands and sellers are genuinely reliable, especially when it comes to warranty claims and after-sales support in Europe.
I’d really appreciate recommendations from people with long-term ownership experience. If you’ve ordered an electric skateboard to Poland or elsewhere in the EU, I’d love to hear how the delivery, customer service and warranty process went.
I’m open to other brands too. Thanks!

Discussion The new ride!
Almost too powerful and not as carving out of the box as my endeavor 3s. Still a dream to ride.
Anyone else ride an endeavor?

Discussion Update: 25 km/h onewheel for France/EU – survey results so far + manufacturer answers
I ride an e-skate every day: it's my main way to get around, no car. My board is sold by its maker in a 25 km/h version, so I can ride it legally on French roads, with insurance.
I'd like the same for onewheels, so I'm asking manufacturers for a 25 km/h version.
If you also ride a onewheel (or would like one), your vote helps: https://tally.so/r/ob4jKb

Question Should I sell or not?
I have a Propel Endeavor GT2, dual belt driven with headlight kit and 2 spare belts. The board has minor damage on the skid plate and has only been ridden 110 miles.
I haven't ridden the board in over a year since I took a nasty fall that put me in the hospital for a couple of days. I know I won't recover what I paid for it but with today's financial detriment, would it be worth selling in North Florida and take a significant loss or hold onto it and try to maybe sell it layer?

Discussion Linen Overland
Anyone have the overland & feel like sharing their experiences?
I just saw a side by side of the lacroix & seeing that’s it’s only 10/20 lbs heavier than my Major V3…..I’m wondering if I should put out feelers to buy one.
Intentionally funny title, because I’m a bit tired of seeing my Reddit posts as my first search results.

Question Need help with new battery solutions
I bought my Evolve board brand new but second hand. The guy had won the board at a one wheel competition and never road it. So as you could imagine it sat for years unused until the dude decided to sell it and obviously sitting isn’t great for the battery. I knew this but got it at a heavy discount so didn’t mind.
I road the board without issues for a few weeks, then one day the battery life reduced greatly so I checked the cells health and it was all out of wack.
It has declined rapidly since, now the board will ride for 5-10 minutes and cut out. So essentially I need new batteries. Where and or who could i have install new batteries or repair what I have.
Appreciate any help or ideas. I know some folks on this thread really know these boards in and out so I figured id seek some guidance on what to do from the experts.

Question Best safety jacket I can get?
Hello!
I had a bad accident a few years ago in my eBoard and broke my collarbone and have since always missed riding, because even a light hit from something hurts like shit when it hits the titanium rod in there. I know I should learn to ride switch if I really want to get back into it, but I also want to engage with it as more of an outdoor sport than a method of commuting.
Tldr; hurt myself and am worried about getting back into the sport, need help with safety equipment.
What's the absolute best safety gear I can get? Currently not thinking about expenses, I'll decide on a budget based on the best recommendations by performance.

DIY TBH, I'm really curious.
I’ve read a lot of posts in this subreddit—some DIY guides, some product recommendations—and I’ve noticed that people have a good understanding of batteries, controllers, and motors, as well as an awareness of performance. At the same time, everyone is very concerned about safety while riding. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that, but when it comes to the skateboard itself—specifically the deck, truck, and wheels, excluding the controller—very few people provide educational content or introductions about them, and most people don’t pay much attention to them either.
As a veteran skateboarder, I believe that the impact of the controller on safety is actually far less significant than that of the board itself. If the board isn’t up to the performance standards it should meet, it could be a disaster.
I’d like to know what everyone thinks about this. If there’s interest, should I provide some educational content on this topic?

Question Recommended early upgrades?
I’m basically new to this hobby and just ordered my first board (Urban X 2wd) yesterday. My intent when I first started looking was to use it for commuting to work on streets of various qualities, including alleyways and unpaved, and clearly the Urban X would be the best option. I grew up skateboarding (middle-aged now), so I’m pretty sure that I’ll be pretty comfortable, hopefully 5mi/8km won’t be too much.
I initially thought I’d want the bindings, but cancelled those and I’ll see if I want some foot retention later. Ideally, I think I’d like something more minimal than the bulky straps. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I’m also going to need some lights. I’m not aware of how the battery is connected, but is there any power tap to connect lights or anything to? If not, is there an aftermarket solution?
I’m sure the stock 8” tires will work well, but I’m planning to upgrade to the 9” tires on the wider wheels and get a street tire for the stock wheels. Should I consider gearing changes between tire sizes?
Regarding other options and upgrades, I’m hoping there will be some aftermarket support for the platform. In my newbie research, it looks like this is going to be a very popular board. I’d especially like to see a rear bash guard and integrated lighting.
Overall, I’m really excited to receive my preorder and look forward to getting back in the streets.

Question What gear do you wear? What falls caused you to wear that gear?
I’m back!! I now have a nice Dainese motorcycle jacket (scored on sale for $180 and it’s a $350 jacket) with full protective armor, got the alpine star protective back armor to go in it, and a pair of light alpine star gloves. I will be getting the pando moto protective leggings (hip and knee pads, and abrasive resistant). Will eventually get a full face helmet but my wallet can’t stop taking hits.
I did this because I got such bad road rash from falling going 25 mph. Story is in here but I hit a “lip” in the street and ate it going 25. Luckily caught myself on my feet for a second before I fell so that helped a lot. Was only wearing a bike helmet. Which did save me too when my head bounced off the pavement. But I never knew road rash could be so freaking painful man. I am investing in motorcycle gear because it’s worth it to me.
So let’s hear it. What’s your typical gear you wear, and what falls led you to wear that gear? Or maybe you’re just being smart.

Question best beginner electric skateboard.
I'm thinking about getting an electric skateboard again. Ive always dreamed of getting a Boosted Board, so I got a cheap, bulky electric skateboard back in 2016 when Boosted Board was becoming popular. I rode it and kept falling, so I returned it. Fast forward to right now. I'm thinking about buying one again for college. But this time, it’s more expensive. I'm thinking about getting a dual-belt motor instead of a single-hub motor, and a flexible mini board so that I can carry it around and also i wish boosted board still on sale.
