Would love to know if it's possible to restore/mod trees seen in the E3 2010 build back into the game since there is already a mod for GTA 4 by attramet which restored trees and vegetation that were likely cut due to performance reasons. Even buildings details and other graphical effects were downgraded in the final release version of Driver SF.

Got into playing Driver 2 again via ReDriver2 on my Steam Deck. So far I've gotten to Havana but my god are some of the missions brutally difficult. Just got past the bomb truck mission (that was a grind, took me probably 30 tries) and now to the one where you have to catch all the cars driving crazy through the city.

So I wanted to ask. Is Driver 2 hard in your opinion or do I just suck at it.

The side missions are so tiring and just same thing over and over. Get there on time, keep heart rate up, hide from police etc etc feel like I’m doing the same missions over and over with just different characters. It’s feels a distraction from the actual plot. Is there a mode to skip them? Thanks

I've been working on a first-person cockpit camera for Driver: Parallel Lines on PC. You sit behind the wheel with the game's dashboard, steering wheel and driver hands in view, so familiar streets feel quite different from the driver's seat.

What it does:

• 82 saved, reviewed vehicle positions, with automatic calibration for vehicles without a saved entry.

• Uses the game's smoothed camera, with the driver's head hidden to reduce clipping.

• Adjustable FOV (90° by default), seat position and camera roll.

• F3 switches between cockpit and chase view. F1 → Camera → First Person opens the settings.

Tested on the GOG v1.0 PC release. You need an ASI loader; ThirteenAG's Widescreen Fix includes one. The download is built on DPLHook by ermaccer and replaces DPLHook.asi, so back up your existing DPLHook files before installing.

This release focuses on driving: on-foot gameplay stays third person. Bikes use a generic seat position, and the original interior models have some rough edges. Other camera plugins may conflict.

If you try it, I'd love to hear which vehicle you drove. For a camera issue, please include the vehicle, era, game version and a screenshot so I can reproduce it.

I'm going to be offline in ReDriver 2, because I've decided to dedicate time to some projects that I have very pending for the Alt Mod Pack v1.3 by translating it from English to Spanish (which can take me a few days or weeks), I'm waiting for my compadre Comando 52 Colton to give me answers to extract textures from all the vehicles to do something new (and rescue textures that had been lost in the betas, and do something new and different from the rest of the mods).

It also seems that I'm going to be busy with the Driver PC issue about new textures that I'm carrying out, and that also requires weeks.

For the time being, I'm going to try to bring new material here, and get active with the following in Driver Unity Remake Prototype V3

I'm converting the Alt Mod Pack from English to Spanish Castilian for ReDriver 2, I'll be releasing a playable version of the mod soon.

Well, to put you in context, today I'm going to talk to you about Chicago's first car, yes, the Oldsmobile Cutlass itself.

Well, I know it may sound a little silly or very crazy on my part, but, looking at the 3D model very well, it actually fits perfectly with the 1974 AMC Matador Coupe.

And in fact, I'm willing to recreate that texture to put it on the first car in Driver 2

I don't know if you know him (and maybe you do), but the creator and person responsible for this independent project (of both the first version, the second and this last one), is nothing more and nothing less than: 4KANT.

I around in the middle of the year of 2025 (before the link was removed by him), I saved this playable version to keep it, since since then I wanted to play it.

Although it has bugs that both I and he are unaware of, it is still playable.

There was a time when 4KANT was out of YouTube and almost the entire community (including me), worried that he was banned or muted, but, months later, he returned to YouTube and at the time showed some trailers of the new V4 version.

And the truth is I don't know why he now usually deletes his videos, but he will have his good reasons.

Now, before that video of that possible trailer of him was deleted, I told him that he will add all the possible betas of missing cars including that includes traffic in San Francisco, Los Angeles, large parts in New York, and in all the maps of Driver 2.

Still, despite everything, he's doing a great job and a tremendous effort on his part.
