Question An n-body 3D gravity simulation using RK4 and lists
Graph: https://www.desmos.com/3d/mnyaejkroz
HELP!! Due to Desmos not letting you store lists in lists, I was not able to scalably plot all trails, so I only am doing one at a time. If anyone has an idea for how to scalably plot a trail for every single mass, please tell me!
I learned about Runge-Kutta recently, so of course I had to make this. It's really cool to see the emergent behavior of some of these systems just from a first-principles simulation.
There's a lot of buttons and such to operate it, but I think it's fairly intuitive. If anyone finds some interesting initial conditions, share a snapshot of the graph and post it here!

Graph I made this abomination
I don't know how useful this is but i made an approximate cosine wave like this for some reason, from testing, this is continuous (I'm pretty sure), the max absolute error is 0.020017 and max relative error is about 4.5%. i just find it funny how this possible

Graph I was bored and messing around in class and I thought this looked kinda cool.
Anyone else have weird/cool looking graphs?

Discussion Inequalities painting where they can't?
Many fractal / recursion graphs posted in this sub appear to paint in the "No Floats Exist Here" zones near 0 (closer than minFloat, but not at 0) and near ±infinity (further than maxFloat, but not at infinity). This seems like it should be impossible.
This notebook methodically lays out inequality and limit combinations for several graph types, adapted from those previously posted in r/Desmos.
For the most part, all you have to do is press buttons or move a slider, maybe wait a few seconds, and compare to the "what I got" results.

I would love to know how it's possible for inequalities to paint in these zones.

Question What did I do wrong here?
I'm still new to desmos! I can do lots of problems, but these proved to be a challenge. I'd be really grateful if somebody could point out my mistakes to me!

Question Low Vision Student Help
I have a student with extreme low vision. I have found reverse contrast and the bigger “A” option. But I haven’t found a way to make this keyboard bigger. Does anyone know how? Thank you!!!!

it was fun but i never saw a proof because there has never been one or because i live under a rock probably, also would love to see this kind of challenge again some time, maybe even tougher u/mandelbrot4207

Graph Visualising curvature
In my lecture today, I learnt about curvature (as a value).
Naturally, the very first thing I did was apply it to desmos. Another tool added to my collection. 😆
I hope it helps someone else, too!
Art rgb() can take 3d points now and it makes me happy
they should make arctan() take 2d points next

Question How to share graphs
Ok so I’m a smart lazy person and my teachers allow us to use desmos so I do the normal thing and make a calculator in desmos to do all my work for me( if you are interested I made a parabola solver based on if you have a single point and the vertex) but I want my friends to have their own calculators but each of them to be separate so how could I share them
