A must-see in Ironwood Forest National Monument. I stumbled upon it my first visit. Got lucky to get it fairly early in the morning with some sun glow on it.

The Funeral Mountains in the distance.

I was hiking these cliff shelves all morning and found nothing. Right as I was going to wrap up because the heat was getting too much, I found this Native American ruin tucked away under this cliff side.

Came here yesterday for some stargazing and to camp out, honestly one of the best camping spots I’ve ever been to, and the sand dunes were fun to walk on! Will definitely be coming back.

My wife and I grew up in Joshua Tree in the 70s and 80s. We both moved back separately, reconnected, got married, and now we're building an off-grid cabin in our happy place.
