Deezers had lots of problems ive noticed where a random song is just simply not available on deezer, while being on every other streaming service, and seemingly no difference in its legal stance to the rest of the album, which is all readily available. Kinda egregious though whats happened to Iron Maiden recently, one of the most popular and important metal bands. The bands debut album is essentially completely gone, with only Running Free (a fairly forgotten album track) being the only one left up. This happened, maybe a month ago? Now, I've noticed their 1986 album Somewhere in Time is also gone, this time in its entirety, with its listing on the bands albums page being gone aswell. I highly doubt this is a lisencing problem, as these albums are available everywhere else. Any chance someone on here is deezer staff and can have this looked into?

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a small free party game where friends guess songs from short clips. The game plays only the official 30-second previews from the Deezer Search API. It doesn't store or download any audio, and every answer shows a "Music: Deezer" credit with a link to the track on Deezer.

The API Terms of Use (Section IX) say that uses beyond personal webpages and applications should be reviewed and approved by Deezer. The developer portal only lists a Twitter account and a security email, and the regular support form has no option for API questions.

Maybe someone here knows who should I contact on this matter?

Thank you!

O player assim fica bem mais agradável, não é mesmo?

Just an idea for a new feature: I receive notifications in Deezer for new music matching my preferences. I think it would be great if the Deezer app automatically created a playlist for the last 100 notifications or so, allowing the user to listen to all of them in one go. What do you think?

My Audiobooks on deezer stops after every title and dont Show up at the top of my Phone

Edit: the audiobooks play when i have deezer open and my Phone is unlocked and im on Android. Yesterday it worked all normal

It's Friday and time to share the hidden gems you found this week with others.

Feel free to include Deezer song links to the songs!

For the longest time I thought I was in a tiny minority who is bothered by not being able to switch track mix off. It is not its existence that bothers me, my issue is that it launches automatically and there is no way to turn it off. I think I should be given an opportunity to turn track mix off and not have music I never chose pushed on to me.

Now it turns out this idea is so not niche after all: Australia is considering legislation "to force big tech to allow users to switch off algorithms which send them recommended content".

If you enjoy your track mix, more power to you. Some people, however, me included, want to be able to opt out.

My main reason for choosing Deezer over Spotify or Apple or YouTube was that it's not "big tech". I find it incredibly sad that even as a smaller, independent(ish) company, Deezer still clearly aspires to be big tech or at least does everything that makes big tech so harmful.

Please sort this out.

After a year of using Spotify, switching back to Deezer to save money on an annual subscription I find the Android app to be so slow it's mostly unusable- from loading up a track/album, downloading, searching, etc. it's got to be the slowest app bar none of any other I use. Yes, I've cleaned the cache, data, uninstalled/reinstalled, no difference. What good is saving $50yr if the app is broken.

If the app is not fixed by the time my sub runs out I'll be switching back to Spotify for good.

Garbage, pure garbage.

Liquid Glass now on the UI

Hey, kann mir jemand erklären, warum mein Song auf streaming anders klingt als die reine .wav-Datei?

Der Song heißt "Mein Kopf" von SMiTCH

I'm really tired of Spotify offering AI music recommendations without a warning. I've liked a few recommended songs just to realize later that the author has 50 songs from last year only in the most disparaging genres with wildy different vocal styles (obviously AI). I don't want to discuss whether appreciating AI music is good or bad, to each their own. I personally value craft and artistry just as much as the outcome. Does Deezer AI filter work? Is there any chance they'll be removing this feature in the future? I guess at some point it will be indistinguishable. I like Spotify for the podcasts but I already get YT premium with my gemini pro subscription, so I'm covered on that regard.

Tentando desenhar um novo player para a Deezer!

Hey r/deezer,

Almost every third-party music tool out there gets built exclusively for Spotify, leaving other users in the cold. I'm working on changing that.

I’ve developed a lightweight Android companion app designed to drive your streaming player. You pick a genre, and it continuously queues up and triggers track playback directly inside your installed player—functioning like an automated, genre-focused radio station without you needing to hand-craft playlists.

Where I need your help:

I am getting ready for a full Google Play Store release, but Google requires an official 14-day closed test with real users. Because I run Android, I want to make sure the intent integration with the Deezer app is 100% rock solid on actual devices.

What’s needed:

• An Android phone or tablet.

• An active Deezer account.

• Willingness to opt into the Google Play Closed Test group and try it out over a period of 2 weeks.

If you’d be up for testing how seamlessly it triggers tracks in Deezer and giving feedback on the experience/UI, please send me a direct message, and I’ll send you some more details.

Thanks for helping bring more third-party utility to the Deezer ecosystem!

It's great that we finally have FLAC 24-bit audio available on most platforms, but I haven't found any albums in that format yet. Does anyone have any examples they can share?

I really like Deezer. Seems like the best of both worlds from Spotify and Apple Music. Like a combination of good aspects from each into one platform. Except for one major annoyance that puts me off: No way to disable on default the launch of track mixes or the continuation of playback into the track mix after my initially chosen song ends... On Spotify and Apple Music both I can just have the app stop playing music after the song I searched for ends. On Deezer I'm having to either put it on loop, set a timer or click pause at the end of song. If only I had control over this mechanic which I consider to be a significant inconvenience, I'd just consider Deezer to be flawless. On the other hand though, to give Deezer its credit I will mention that the recommendations here which populate the aforementioned track mixes have been in my case far superior to both Spotify and Apple Music. What are your thoughts?

photo is not about my playlist

Dear Deezer,

WHYYYYYY did this incredible band's music just disappeared!? I listen to this band almost everyday and suddenly, everything got deleted.

I don't know much about that type of things, it's the first time this happens to me on Deezer, was it voluntary? Is it a technical error? Will I ever be able to listen to that band again?

I'm not asking to put it back if you deleted it on purpose, I understand... But this was one of my favourite artists, and I loved them, I'm just trying to see if I have to find another way to listen to them if I won't be able to listen to them on Deezer.

Thanks for reading, if anyone can help me on this, I'd appreciate. Good day.

I am now using Deezer as a replacement for Spotify. I have described my experiences in detail here:
https://www.digimuziek.nl/mijn-eerste-ervaringen-met-deezer/

Could you, as experienced Deezer users, let me know if my findings are accurate? Any additional insights would also be appreciated.

Hi there. Have turned on Deezer for a month to test it out. Question please - I’ve noticed when I google cast I cannot play around with the queue, is this how it is or do I have a setting turned off ? Also, is the only casting via google cast and airplay ? No connect type feature ?
Thanks in advance.

Deezer recently announced that HiFi now goes up to 24-bit/192 kHz. On my Windows 11 PC the desktop app is updated, audio quality is set to the highest option, and it still shows HiFi 1411 kbps, so 16-bit/44.1 kHz.

Is anyone already getting hi-res on the desktop app or the web player? Or is it limited to mobile for now?

If it is mobile only, that feels a bit backwards. Most people listen on their phones through Bluetooth, which cannot carry lossless hi-res anyway, while the desktop is where a lot of us have an external DAC or audio interface and proper speakers that can actually play 24-bit/192 kHz.

Has anyone heard from Deezer support about a timeline for desktop?

I've created an account from France and I though I paid for a student account too (a friend did it for me from France) but apparently it didn't work because my account is still in free subscription.

Before trying to go to a premium student account again I would like to be sure, will I be able to connect to my account in south korea ? Because I've tried (will being in free subscription) and it said that deezer wasn't available in this country, BUT one of my friend in korea with me right now can use his account with no problems.

I don't want to start my subscription will being unable to use it...

Will the Deezer team add an option to simply clear the cache instead of deleting all music data?
