I FINALLY DID IT! Holy shit. Got the final achievement 5.8% players on steam. DAMN what a ride… final run was 57 mins… lol I should have beat it wayyyy before this but greed. It got to where a run would ONLY end because of curses lmao. What a game. What a challenge.. ♥️ flint, throwable objects, wolf traps, ice grenade for anyone curious.

I was recording my friend's glide, and out of nowhere he tried to kill me. I had to take his blueprints away from him to make him think twice.

Background and context: I am a 28y/o old school gamer. I mainly play PS1 games like Crash And Spyro constantly 100% through. I rarely if ever play anything modern, an exception for The Binding Of Isaac Repentance on the Switch, over 4000 lifetime hours. I have all 3 files 100% done. That the only modern game I enjoy currently. Until I was recommended Dead Cells...
Anyways. While I was streaming Isaac on a discord call, a friend on I guess got tired of me playing the same shit so he was like "you should try Dead Cells, it's on Switch!" And I'm like..."eh idk..." Again, I'm really REALLY hesitant and stubborn when it comes to modern games. I feel like they're so complicated and busy as hell it just rubs me the wrong way. But I knew how to get the game for free on my modded switch. I am a "try it before you buy it" kind of guy so if I'm given the opportunity, ethical or not, I'll take it. Not like I was gonna play it for more that 2 hours right? So I downloaded it and decided to copy the game to my PC and play it on emulator so I can stream it to them. Got my ass handed to me almost immediately. I was kind of flustered cause it made me feel like I sucked at video games, lol.
The game was confusing as f*ck to figure out how leveling up or making progress works but I thought to myself "I'd rather play this alone..."
So I grinded the game alone for a few weeks...YES a few weeks, idk what the f*ck made me wanna keep playing but something just clicked and I for some good awful reason couldn't stop playing it.
I finished 1 run after 20 hours total playtime, grinding away. I was already convinced on BUYING a physical copy of the game and play it on my Switch 2 after the first 10 hours btw. But I wanted to wait until I finished a run.
So...NOW...as of today I've made significant progress I think for a new player. I got my first boss cell the first week. Around 45 ish total play hours later, I got my 2nd and 3rd boss cell the same day back-to-back (Holy shit) and now I'm here trying to get my 4th...at 59 total hours.
I'm not sure if this is like...impressive or not. I think it may be for a spanking new player. But then again I got a head start so I know what to do.
Sad news now is that the friend that recommended the game to me is now gone and deleted his account without me knowing. I would've loved to see his face seeing that I now play the game non-f*cking stop.
So yeah, this game is pretty cool. I'll keep it up.

Exist a customized version of the mobile dead cells witch improves fps and more for low devices like mine? With all dlcs(I dont have money to buy).

I didn't really have problems here until now, but in 2BC one hit can ruin your run and sometimes you have to dive into a group of enemies to survive if the lamp RNG screws you and they're a mile apart.
I'm considering buying the lamp item unless my build is one shotting at this point. Is it worth?

The build is on 2nd slide, I was trynna brute force it on 4bc but got fucked hard and had to go down to 3

So there i am having a great time with Deadcells, cruising along, finally getting the hang of 0BC. Make the switch to 1BC. Ok, this tough but manageable. Kinda. Clear 1BC and now on 2BC. But im getting my ass kicked. To an insane degree. Im using Armadillo Pack regularly and learning to roll parry a lot.
But for real, this is bullshit. It now feels like the entire game as a whole is against me. Shit drops, shit abilities after numerous reforging. Monsters & Traps deal wayyy too much damage regardless of scroll count. I dont do any damage anymore.I get juggled by mobs or led by mobs firing from off screen, through walls, who are LEADING? Bitch, thats some programming bullshit where the game KNOWS where youll be and just says, “Oh well, shouldn’t have rolled 2sec ago. Get wrecked.” Im sick of being attacked by mobs I CANT GET TO YET. (For example theyre on the other side of a wall further down the path requiring a U-turn)
If its not that its the lack of healing. Really taking away ALL the flask refills? Its just not fun or challenging anymore. Its bullshit. Im sick of not being able to clear the first 2-3 biomes now before being tapped out and one hit from death. Or god for-fucking-bid you use a vendor and its a MIMIC. Yeah ok. If you find one in the first 3 stages, your run might as well be over. Your weapons do ZERO damage.
TLDR; Difficulty spike is bullshit and idk what to do. Feels extremely unbalanced if i have all possible upgrades by end of 0BC-1BC yet have the rest of the game to go. Just dont wanna do it anymore if it doesnt get any easier or i dont get any more advantages.
Update: I just wanted to say thank you for all the genuine tips and help. Y’all are a great community. Im looking forward to throwing myself into the fray. Cheers all!

I've put almost 80 hrs in both games, so I’m afraid it might not be long and difficult enough.
r/deadcells • u/guzeruguzeru • 23h ago
Yep, Concierge still has that dawg in him
Edit : This was meant as an unserious gameplay as I was just messing around, thus changed the flair to humor to avoid confusion.

got to him 2 times. one time i did not even know how i died he hit me that hard. but this time i had giant killer and all. i used two potions of health and still had two more potions and got him to half or less health and he hit me and i fly away and fall at the door. because I am playing on mobile my hand covered that place and I jumped around and died to lava. effing lava. go to hell giant.
Edit: I went to the training room with similar setup. Yes one can sadly fly to the door end of lava and cannot hold the wall using spider rune so due to that a few bounces could simply suck the health out with no way to heal 🤷♂️ i bet i could have won if lava hit spawned me back to the platform or something, but nope i was supposed make the the lava jumps and reach the platform back. That was new experience but not a good one.

I just don't get his pattern, after watching a guide on him I understood what he does bt getting to him and failing just takes so long and doing it all over is very painful.
Was he hard for everyone or I just suck extra hard?
