How do serious crossfitters have such amazing bodies without steroids?

Do they just work out every single day and eat whatever they want? I feel like they're gatekeeping it and just act nonchalant when asking about it.

I would truly like to know how often they are working out, how much they are eating, and if they're measuring macros.

When asked on social media and TV they're like "ehhhI work out when I want to and eat whenever I want"

EDIT: so it seems that Games athletes DO use steroids, based off what I'm seeing in the comments. This answers all my questions. Thanks

Need Cross-Training Shoes for CrossFit?

Hi,

I'm coming to CrossFit with an Olympic weightlifting background, so I currently own 2 pairs of lifting shoes already: first, the Nike Romaleos 4 and second, the Adidas AdiPower Weightlifting 3.

Last CrossFit training, I had put on the Nike Romaleos 4 with a scheduled 400m run after each working exercise, and that's when I realized perhaps getting cross-trainers would be more appropriate.

I was thinking because the Adidas AdiPower Weightlifting 3's have a lower sole than other weightlifting shoes, I wouldn't need to spend extra money to get cross-trainers (those who own the Adidas AdiPower Weightlifting 3's would know), and use those instead, but I'm curious to know if cross-trainers (i.e. Nike MetCon's) will make a difference?

Thank you!

Night time visibility during WODs

New to CrossFit! I go to evening classes and it’s getting pitch dark during our outdoor runs. No one at my gym wears reflective gear or lights yet.

For safety, I want to buy a batch of something to leave at the gym so anyone in evening classes can grab one for the WODs with an outdoor run.

What’s the best non-intrusive gear for CrossFit? Slap bands, shoe clips, ankle straps?

Thanks.

Could someone give me the LinchPin workout for today, 10/21/26? I’m waiting for an email to reinstate my account and it says it can take up to 24 hours. I know it’s heavy power cleans, just don’t remember the rep scheme. Thanks in advance!

Rogue Invitational 2026 - Venue questions

Hi all,

I’m just wondering if anyone here has ever been to the Rogue Invitational in Aberdeen? I have some questions about the venue.

Are we allowed to bring a backpack with some food and drinks? The P&J Live venue policies say no but looking at some clips from past years, I can see folks wearing backpacks. There’s also the spectator workouts that I assume people will bring a change of clothes for 🤷‍♀️.

I’ve also read some comments not rating the venue food so I’d prefer to bring some of my own if allowed.

I’m also wondering if anyone has ever parked there? Any issues with finding a space?

Thanks!

Electrolyte Supplement Question?

• Upvotes

I am a 48 year old male, been doing CrossFit for about 17 years. Still love it!
I have been having a lot of muscle cramping and loss of my ‘motor’ recently.
I’ve been drinking Nuun as a pre-workout. However, someone at my gym let me try an LMNT tablet, after a workout. Do lots of folks use LMNT? Does it work best as a pre-workout?
Just wondering what people’s experience is with it.

EDIT: Folks are asking if I sweat much. I sweat a LOT during a CrossFit class. Like, much more than most folks.

What’s the CrossFit community like in your area/location? I’m curious where CrossFit is thriving and popular.
