I am getting increasingly annoyed with Morgan playing devil's advocate, trying to argue against there being a case. With the first two deaths, I could see the argument for there being no case. However, once the third comes in, there's, in my opinion, no more debate to be had.
One white man in his 30s being found dead in his bed after days is a tragedy. Two is a coincidence. Three is a pattern. Especially when you add;
1) All three had a troubled past.
2) All three were from religious families.
3) All three traveled to the same religious site in the same week.
4) All three had ligature marks on their limbs.
5) All three had scuff marks underneath the feet of their beds.
It's extra frustrating because it feels so forced and out of character for him too. I understand that he's usually the one to call the team out on their blinders, but this doesn't feel like that. This feels like the writers wanted someone on the team to hold out on the case, and because Morgan fills the role of "sense-knocker", they chose to have him play that part.
They had him fill that role in Reid's episode as well, but that felt far more understandable because they were trying to solve a decades old cold case based on a recurring nightmare Reid was having about the dad that abandoned him. This? This is just them making him unnecessarily stubborn to have someone be stubborn.
