The Worst Serial Killer You (Probably) Never Heard Of.

The man in the photo is Andrei Chikatilo (aka the Forest Strip Killer, and Rostov Ripper). He was a serial killer from the Soviet Union that targeted young boys and girls aged between 7 and 18. Chikatilo would find his victims in places that weren’t too busy. He would then lure them to desolate places, rape them, and kill them. He would hide their bodies in places that took ages to find. Chikatilo’s killing spree ran from 1978 until his arrest in 1990. He was convicted of the murder of around 52 people, although he claimed to have killed more than 56. In 1992, Chikatilo would be sentenced to death by firing squad, with the execution happening two years later.

Believe it or not, the police once tried Chikatilo in 1984, but because of a lack of checking DNA samples, he was free to kill more. (Feel free to correct anything I might have missed).

Neighbors Reported Crying Children. Welfare Workers Visited 5 Times. Both Children Were Later Found Dead.

In 2010, two young siblings, three-year-old Sakurako Hagi and her younger brother Kaede, were left alone in an apartment in Osaka, Japan, by their mother, Sanae Shimomura.
Before their deaths, neighbors had repeatedly reported hearing children crying from the apartment. Child welfare workers visited the building five times, but none of those visits resulted in anyone confirming the children’s safety.
On July 30, 2010, both children were found dead. Their mother was later convicted of murder and sentenced to 30 years in prison.
What makes this case especially troubling is that the warnings came before the tragedy. People had raised concerns, yet the children remained unseen.
An official review later identified serious weaknesses in how the authorities responded to those warnings.
This documentary examines the full case, from the early warning signs to the investigation, trial, and child welfare failures.

Do you think welfare authorities should have taken stronger action after repeatedly failing to confirm the children’s safety?

On July 24, 2016, 23-year-old Kaylee Sawyer disappeared after a night out in Bend, Oregon. What began as a desperate search for a missing young woman quickly uncovered a chilling reality: her attacker was Edwin Lara, an armed campus security guard at Central Oregon Community College (COCC) who was supposed to keep students safe.

When true crime fandom turns into a blueprint: four school attacks in two weeks linked to the "True Crime Community"

Post image

Most people watch true crime to understand what happened and why. But there is a small, violent fringe of the online true crime world, usually called the TCC, that treats school attackers as idols: fan edits, copying their clothes and poses, and celebrating each new attack.

Between October 7 and 19, seven attacks hit schools in Poland, France, South Africa, the US and Romania. Four of the attackers had clear ties to that fringe. A 13-year-old in Romania left a manifesto addressed to "the TCC," crediting the community's support for a Swedish school attacker in August with restoring his "hopes." In France, prosecutors are now treating one attack as terrorism because of the shooter's TCC links, a first.

I wrote up the cases and the evidence for each link here: https://redpillreversal.substack.com/p/a-wave-of-school-attacks-and-the
