Coventry Red Route, what problem is this actually solving?
Does anyone actually think Coventry city centre needed all these new red routes?
Apparently the double red lines mean you wonโt even be able to stop briefly to pick someone up or drop someone off, except in designated places, with cameras enforcing it.
I was dropping my mum off at the Belgrade and it struck me how difficult theyโre making something as basic as safely pulling over for 30 seconds.
Has anyone actually had a serious problem with traffic being held up by people dropping passengers off? Was this really a problem that needed solving?
Coventry has plenty of genuine issues, yet the council seems to spend endless time and money creating more restrictions, cameras and rules, while also making the city centre less convenient to visit.
Maybe Iโm missing something. Does anyone actually think this is a good idea?
