I've had a jumper that was a lovely texture and colour but really worn out. Then inspiration struck. Here are its sleeves in a new incarnation.

General Discussion Looking for some cottagecore & fox-inspired names for my sweet kitty boy!

Post image

I rescued this sweet guy one week ago today and still have yet to find the perfect name for him. We rescued him with his brother, who we’ve named Teddy. I’ve always given my cats British-sounding names, so initially I was thinking Archie, but the more I hang out with him, the more it doesn’t feel right. He’s gentle and kind with a fun springiness about him, almost fox-like (and he looks like one, too!). My fiancé and I LOVE Fantastic Mr. Fox, so we thought a name from that would be perfect, but none of the obvious ones feel just right. We thought about…

Kristofferson - This is my favorite of the bunch, but it’s a mouthful and I don’t like the nickname “Kris” for a cat

Ash - A second runner-up, but I’m not sure it fits him

Paddington (the town the movie takes place in) -
Super cute and pairs well with his brother’s name, but “Paddy” feels too close to “Teddy” and he’d likely be associated with the bear

Non-Mr. Fox names I liked were Finnegan, Kipper, and Casper, but none of those feel just right, either.

If anyone has any soft-sounding, fox or woodland-inspired name recommendations, they’d be so appreciated!

Earlier this year I made some fun sheep themed baked goods. So I decided to make some Halloween themed ones. We’ve got a vampire sheep, candy corn sheep, of course the black sheep who is just misunderstood, and unfortunately the innocent bystander who was a victim of the vampire sheep.

I love the song by Enya called Flora’s Secret. Whenever I hear it I think of cottagecore and that lifestyle. I made a video using the song.

I’ve allllways wanted to whittle and let me tell you…it’s not easy for a lady whittler with small hands, but I’m proud of myself! I’m excited to make more tiny carvings.

My niece sometimes loves taking a bath in a little basin by the old well.

Living far away from my family, painting moments like this makes me feel a little closer to them.
