My niece sometimes loves taking a bath in a little basin by the old well.

Living far away from my family, painting moments like this makes me feel a little closer to them.

Fashion I turned a vintage Maya the Bee bedsheet into a blouse, and now I can wear a little piece of my childhood :)

Hello, lovely people! ❤️

I thought yous might appreciate my latest little sewing adventure!

I found this gorgeous vintage Maya the Bee bedsheet, covered in flowers, bees and all sorts of lovely meadow creatures, and decided to turn it into a blouse!

Now... I must admit, cutting into such a beautiful piece of vintage fabric was absolutely terrifying. I spent a ridiculous amount of time just looking at it and wondering whether I was about to make a terrible mistake. Hahaha!

The sewing itself was quite an adventure too, especially the collar, which I had to redo about seven times in total.

But I got there in the end!

I even made little fabric-covered buttons to match(!!!!!), and I'm so happy with how everything turned out. It's wonderfully comfortable, a little bit granny-ish and feels like something Maya herself might wear if she were a human being, hehehe.

A little bit of cottagecore, a little bit of childhood nostalgia and perhaps a very subtle cartoon cosplay

Oh! And for anyone curious about the pattern, I used a Korean sewing book called 천연소재로 만드는 유러피안 스타일 옷, which roughly translates to European-Style Clothes Made with Natural Fabrics.

I've included a picture of the cover in the photos, in case anyone wants to look it up! The book features lovely, vintage-inspired designs, and I'm already planning to make more things from it. Especially that beautiful white dress on the cover!

The instructions were entirely in Korean, which I don't speak, so there was quite a lot of translating, guessing and staring at illustrations involved. But I learned SO much from the experience!

Anyway! I hope yous like my little bee blouse!

Cheers!

Fashion Don't buy from lacemade

My husband bought the winter jacket dress from them in the first week of September and was supposed to arrive for my birthday(28th). Now we send messages and they say they will only have the item on November 20th. They continue to sell the item as was available and don't inform the real time it will take to receive it.
