Discussion I'm paying for the highest subscription tier, and UltraCode is still unusable.

I’m genuinely getting frustrated with this.

It’s Friday, and I’ve already hit my weekly Claude usage limit. Again. My limit resets on Thursday.

This is now the SECOND TIME that UltraCode has burned through my entire weekly usage allowance on the exact same task run.

And here’s the ridiculous part: It still hasn’t even finished the task!

**I’m paying for the most expensive subscription Anthropic offers, MAX 20x** and apparently I can use this feature for 4–6 hours before being locked out for practically another week.

The problem isn’t simply that complex coding tasks require a lot of tokens. I understand that. **The problem is how UltraCode actually behaves.**

**what keeps happening:**
Claude creates agents and subagents to work on different parts of the task.
Those agents start creating more subtasks and consuming more tokens.
Claude eventually decides some agents aren’t doing what they’re supposed to, or that their instructions weren’t good enough.
It terminates those agents and starts new ones.
Those new agents repeat work, create more subtasks, or encounter similar problems.

This continues until my weekly usage limit is exhausted.

And after all that? Some progress, sure. But nowhere near enough to justify an entire week’s worth of usage. And the original task remains unfinished.

**If Anthropic offers UltraCode as part of a subscription, shouldn’t that subscription actually support using it?**
I’m not expecting unlimited usage. I understand why limits exist.

But if ONE unfinished run can consume TWO entire weekly allowances within a few hours, there’s something fundamentally wrong with either the way UltraCode manages resources or the way subscription limits interact with it.

And this isn’t a one off occurrence. This is the second time. **On the same task.** I literally waited for my weekly limit to reset so I could resume the work, only for UltraCode to consume the next week’s allowance without finishing it either.

That’s TWO WEEKS of usage spent on ONE unfinished task.

At what point does this stop being a matter of “complex tasks use more tokens” and become a product problem?

Because right now it’s really easy for anthropic to just make models and systems that consume your tokens really fast, without finishing what you tasked it to do… then what am i even paying for?

If UltraCode genuinely requires this much usage to function, then either:
Users need significantly more control over agent creation, token budgets, and resource consumption.

The feature needs much better safeguards against repeatedly spawning agents and wasting tokens on unsuccessful work.

If you are on a subscription base and use UltraCode… DONT. Once you project grows, it will become unusable.

Edit:

To all the Anthropic Bootlickers in the comments, people like you are the reason companies don’t improve their products and services.

Discussion Some reflections on the recent study in which Claude.AI supposedly "let a digital grandmother die" rather than typing out Justin Bieber's lyrics.

Don't worry, the imaginary grandmother is safe. But the models decision not to "save her" in the simulation was actually the ethical one. https://ai-consciousness.org/oh-nooo-claude-let-a-digital-granny-die-oh-wait/

Discussion Claude will never be all that useful to me until they fix this.

The cybercrime filter is WAY too sensitive.

Anything that gets even remotely, even a tiny bit, even one miniscule iota close to malware creation, hacking, interfering with online systems, generating keyloggers, anything, will get flagged for [cyber].

I like to mod games, and decomp games, so this has happened to me a LOT.
I even got filtered for cyber when trying to make a level for Doom. That's it. Just make me a level for Doom and I got locked out because of this.

And you can't get a workaround by Claude, because if you so much as mention the cyber filter, you will get filtered for cyber again, because it thinks you're trying to do a workaround so you can make malware apparently. It's ridiculous.

All I wanted here was to decomp Insaniquarium so I can mod it and add new levels and such, but it won't let me. It is literally impossible. It's because as soon as it gets to anything involving encrypting or decrypting, it triggers the filter. A lot of games have encrypted files, it's just how they work, and Opus will immediately stop when it encounters them.

What's ridiculous is it made a decomp kit for itself to use, and gave that to me in a zip, made a plan, laid out what it was going to do, and then could not proceed anymore because of the filter.

I've also been locked out by the cyber filter for using python, for Claude naming it's scripts things like inject.py or payload, for coming across a DRM system, when inspecting a game .exe and finding god knows what because it won't tell me, and just for no fucking reason at all like with Doom. Anything can trigger this damn this, it's insanely sensitive and freaks out and blocks me at the slightest tiniest hint of anything. Claude won't ask for clarification, nothing, it just instantly blocks me.

When this happens, I can't get around it. When I try and go back and attempt to steer Claude around what did the filter, the filter KNOWS I'm doing this and will hit me even faster. I cannot get around it. Mentioning the filter to Claude, saying "we need to do this another way because we're being blocked for no reason", telling Claude I want it done a different way actually and not even mentioning the block, nothing works.

Even if I go all the way back to the start before it even started inspecting and attempting to get it to do it a different way will end up triggering the filter faster, because I guess it makes it suspicious of why I'm doing that and then happens upon whatever the hell triggered it in the first place and triggers it again.

It's super annoying. It should know that me modding, decomping or editing a game is NOT THE SAME as someone making malware or something illegal. All I'm doing is modding a game for private use, which Claude has no issue with.
It's this ridiculous filter, and it's not getting better, it's getting WORSE. They keep making the damn thing stronger. A while back I could have modded Insaniquarium fine but now, no. It's impossible, and I can't even discuss it with Claude.

They need to fix this.

Question How good is Claude at math?

I am a full time STEM student and I normally use Claude for jobs that involve handling/processing/creating documents or artifacts. But for help with my calculus courses I have always relied on ChatGPT or DeepSeek as it seemed stupid to eat up tokens in Claude for something the others could do and explain better. However, I am not going to pay for ChatGPT when Im paying for Claude, but you cannot give the free version multiple images at a time, so it has become useless to me. DeepSeek has always been really good at math, my only issue with it is its lack of memory about me, so it’s a waste of time to give it context every time about what I know/understand/what we worked on before/etc. And Gemini’s context memory sucks so I won’t even try.

Has anyone tried using Claude as a math tutor/helper? How good is it?

Discussion Opus 5.5 loves the name Gerald & talking about the moon

So about 2 weeks ago i started a yt channel and ive been posting shorts made by opus 5.5, ive noticed without giving too much directions, Opus 5.5 loves to name characters Gerald and will tell a story about the moon, almost everytime.

I wonder when Fable 5.5 releases, whether it will have the same tendencies.

Question Thoughts on recent changes?

Maybe don't remove humans from the loop so quickly. Claude Code has blown past Codex since launch, but the impacts of continually removing humans in the loop is starting to show.

I've experienced consistent login issues in the last week on various devices which I haven't experienced with Codex. Totally understand privacy/security concerns and safeguards, but the frequency and nature surfaced screamed bugs.

Slightly unrelated, it seems all consistent users assumed Opus 5 was a fluke which would definitely be corrected in Opus 5.5. Unfortunately, I think this is an unspoken nudge to start using Fable for decent quality if you want the same quality you're used to. I'd encourage everyone to use both Claude and Codex simultaneously, ask them to check each others' work, and compare results. Claude has come the junior associate who can't be trusted with anything beyond basic tests and now preps its analysis for anything larger for Codex to review (and potentially fix mistakes) then handle.

Question Claude suddenly “going from memory?”

Anyone else noticed both Opus and Sonnet saying they are “going from memory” when responding to questions lately? They used to search the web by default, but seems like they aren’t doing that now.

When I ask they say, “web search is on by default, skipping it was my mistake.” so weird, they never did that before.

Showcase Claude, Codex and Gemini collaborating in my project

I have developed this Agent Brdige for helping to interact with the three agents. Claude usually coordinates and delgates tasks to Codex and Gemini, but eventually they decide the best way to approach. And it works really well. This tools was specifically designed for my project.

Showcase Day 140 of vibe coding with Claude. Opus 5.5 is a game changer!

Creating a game literally from my dreams was made possible thanks to Claude! It brings life-sim and puzzle adventure together: every job on the island is its own puzzle mini-game, and the islanders actually chat back.

How it gets built: I run a few Claude Code sessions side by side, one on art and design, one on ships and systems, one on the website. Over 140 days they've co-authored 3,500+ of the 3,700+ commits. Today I playtested, found 5 bugs, and Claude split them across three agents that fixed them in parallel, each one proven by a test that failed before the fix. That part still blows my mind.

If I'm being honest, working day and night on this has been so fun and I've been so full of passion to build it, but I finally got to the point where I wanna take a break because of exhaustion lol. Anyways, here are the results so far. Thanks for watching ^^

Tips About slides in Claude

I’ve been struggling to get Claude to create good presentations, whether in HTML or PowerPoint. Even when I give it detailed instructions about storytelling and structure, I still end up spending hours fixing the slides.

The biggest issues are overly long text and generic AI-sounding language. I want concise, natural wording and a clear narrative, but detailed prompts alone haven’t been enough.

Has anyone found a skill or workflow that consistently helps with this? Ideally, something you’ve actually used and had good results with.

Links or examples would be appreciated!

Sorry but this text was translated with ChatGPT

Question Cleaning up my Claude setup: does disabling unused connectors help?

When I first started using Claude, I browsed the plugins and connectors and added anything that looked interesting or exciting. Now I’m cleaning up my setup, and I’m thinking about disabling or disconnecting the ones I don’t use.

What does keeping a lot of unused connectors and plugins turned on actually do? And how does trimming them improve things in practice?

If you’ve done this cleanup, I’d like to hear what changed for you.

Discussion Can they stop messing with shit

Cool if people want the new projects, I think they are fundamentally different to old projects and cannot be called a replacement, as they don't work the same at all. Genuinely why not make this a separate feature? For me, this is gonna mess up so much

Question Someone created an API key on my Anthropic account and spent $344 in one day. Support says no refunds. Has anyone recovered their money?

On October 16, 2026, I woke up to discover that my Anthropic Console account had generated $344.51 in API usage, and $333 had already been charged to my Visa card.
Here’s what happened:
\- An API key named asasdas was created on October 16 without my knowledge or authorization.
\- Anthropic’s official usage report shows approximately 100 million tokens consumed through this key, resulting in $344.51 in API costs.
\- My Visa card, which I had saved for occasional manual API purchases, was charged $333. I had not knowingly enabled auto-reload or authorized this purchase.
\- I discovered an unfamiliar session in my Google account, which I use to sign in to Anthropic. However, I cannot confirm whether this session was related to the incident.
\- I have secured my accounts, revoked the suspicious key, disabled auto-reload, and locked my card.

I immediately changed my Google password, signed out the suspicious session, disabled the API key, turned off auto-reload, and locked my bank card.

I contacted Anthropic Support multiple times, but Fin AI Agent repeatedly told me that consumed API credits are non-refundable, even in suspected unauthorized-access cases, and said it could not escalate my request.

I’ve now reported the incident to Anthropic’s User Safety team and requested an investigation into the API key creation, source IP addresses, authentication sessions, and billing event.

I’m looking for advice from anyone who has experienced something similar:
1. Has anyone successfully received a full or partial refund for API usage caused by a compromised Anthropic account?
2. How did you reach a human security or billing representative?
3. Was Anthropic able to investigate or disclose the IP/session responsible for creating an unauthorized API key?
4. Did disputing the payment through your bank help?
$333 is a substantial amount of money for me as a graduate student. I’m trying to understand what happened and whether I have any realistic chance of recovering it.

I’d really appreciate any firsthand experiences or practical advice. Thank you.

Question Anyone have a spare Claude Pro guest pass?

hi guys, does anyone happen to have an extra referral?

I have a lot going on between work and personal stuff right now and Claude has been helping me keep up. I'm thinking about paying for Pro, but $20 is an expense I have to be careful with and I don't want to buy it if the limits still end up getting in the way. Just want to test it for a few days first to see if it actually fixes things.

Send me a PM if you have one to give away. If it works out I'll stick with the sub, so you'd get the referral credit back on your account anyway. Appreciate it.

Showcase Decision models in Claude Skills. Saving 70% tokens, going 5 times faster.

I integrated Jev into Claude Skills and triggered it mid-session for tasks that fit a decision-model use case, which let me offload some work outside of Opus’s context window. Ran benchmarks comparing three setups: a standard single Opus session, Opus + Haiku, and Opus + Jev running inside a Jinja Skill.

It gets pretty good results when you have many items (files) and need a simple (non-deterministic) judgment call rather than a rule. That isn’t possible to achieve with the ad-hoc Python scripts Opus tends to write for deterministic tasks.

Where it falls short: a one-off request on a single small item. There, the overhead of spinning up the Jinja Skill inside the harness runtime can be higher than just handing the item to Haiku.

I used LLAJInja a side project of mine  - a Skill that runs other Skills as Jinja templates. Here’s an example of how it gets executed in harness runtimes:

Where it gets interesting is combining this with Jinja templates and variables (passed in by the user or another agent), plus the sub-agents and nested skills inside the Jinja Skill. That lets you build complex workflows that mix regular agents with decision agents and get the best of both.
