No. People need to realize that data mining is just that. Some developer could have made this as a joke and left it in a library because they wanted to test stuff while riding a chicken.

Because they're fresh chasers, all they do is level for a couple months then hop to the next new server trying to recapture the magic of 2005 when they weren't miserable & bald.
All they see in Forever is another fresh launch so as little changes as possible suits them until pservers pop up in a few months they can start hopping around them.
They always set a higher bar too. When Nostalrius shut down they cried that they wanted vanilla. Wow gave it to them the the burning crusade cries came and then the bitching and moaning about no fresh vanilla servers and then they did anniversary servers but then bitched about that.
These people are insufferable and just trying to capture their memories of childhood/young adulthood. They will never be satisfied.

The game was extrenly buggy on launch, especially regarding the visual, and what happened? They patched the game to fix the issues people reported.... crazy, right?

So I would ask why this retail-looking one, but it’s obvious since the pivot on style was late and they will want to run the cash shop for Forever into the ground with MTX
I wish the SD version was actually like a fun mount you could get in a weird way in-game but I can’t see them doing that
Honestly the TCG has been out of business for so long that they should include stuff like this in Forever for anyone to be able to earn with enough patience, and it keeps its prestige in retail since Forever is separate.
Kind of like how party hats(items worth the most GP in Runescape 3) are way cheaper on OSRS than RS3 because they’re not as limited.
This chicken looks so much better, idk why they don't understand no one wants these retail models. I would rather they have zero new mounts or models and just re use old assets, until they internally practice enough to be able to actually make SD style stuff for the game. This shit is going to kill my desire to play eventually.
Please, no shop. It’s not about ‘just don’t buy it or mind your business’ that’s such an oversimplified and reductive argument. It takes devs away from adding content to a game we are all actively paying a monthly fee for. It’s a poor practice with short term gains at the cost of an authentic mmo experience, which is directly against the pillars. Pillars which if held to, will keep more people playing, keep more subs active, and generate more stable cash flow.
I see people bring up this no shops request. But I don't even know why people are bringing it up, its done, the cash shop is an integral part of Forever already, its not something they would ever remove. They've already pre-sold hundreds of thousands of mounts/cosmetics for Forever.
Its jumping to conclusions about data mined stuff that makes you a cry baby.
They already said this isnt a forever mount.
They also said many times the data will be misleading on purpose so that we still have some surprising on launch.
Plenty of time to touch some grass between now and then btw.
I prefer the original Magic Rooster, which to me is the very best ground mount of all time. There's something about this one's proportions that looks a bit funny to me.
Anything added after 1.1.0 is Disney Friendship is magic retailslop and takes the Warcraft out of my Craft.
There's a very narrow narrative of what people misremember as being bloodsoaked edgelordslop, and anything that strays from that narrative is absolute poison to some people's idealized version of the game.

If anyone thinks Forever isn’t just an opportunity for Blizzard’s C-suite to monetize a second MMO, boy do I have some bad news for you. No disrespect to the devs who put their hearts and souls into making the game though. You guys are GOAT.
Blizzard may be audience captured when it comes to Classic Era, but I’d be willing to bet Forever gets a slew of macro-transactions in the shop within a year of launch. There’s no way that in modern times this game got greenlit on a $15 subscription fee.

No, I agree 100%. The start will be fun and I'm really excited, but I'm absolutely expecting the game to turn into an immersion breaking, tone deaf retail-lite game.

Yeah that's actually the point. It just indicates to me it'll eventually just end up going the same way as retail if the people making it can't instinctively identify what belongs and what doesn't (blue elves, luminous fluffy bears, phasing).

At that point they had tons of goofy mounts including mammoths with vendors on them. Mtx mounts came months after this one that required you to buy an outside product to get. People don’t want that shit that led directly to modern retail wow in forever.
Yeah, gnomes should be the height (pun intended) of silliness in WoW. They were actually a controversial addition at launch, they shouldn't be seen as the normal.
People are crying their eyes out saying this is not classic, but they are forgetting how much they loved spectral Tiger and the chicken mount during og classic and tbc/woltk which were PAID mounts.

I get the point of not adding out of place mounts in wowf thought(although spectral tiger and chicken were as out of place as possible at that time).
