My personal highlights;

  • Restored level-up messages showing stat increases and talent points gained.
  • “The Attack!” is no longer an escort quest and is now shareable, even while the event is active. Speak to Tyrion to begin the event if it is not active.
  • Spells with different rankings now behaves as a single entry in the Cooldown Manager.

"The Attack!” is no longer an escort quest and is now shareable, even while the event is active. Speak to Tyrion to begin the event if it is not active.

It took 20 years and 3 iterations of classic but we finally have the technology

S Priests never escaping the title of "mana battery" now! But seriously, I love this change, definitely going to be looking for an S Priest to dps the groups I heal.

31

u/Cidergregg 1d ago

Finally, I can once again be the energizer battery of my shadowy dreams.  Love having some actual utility.  I never wanted to relinquish that niche.

Honestly impressed with these changes. I wonder if 15% spirit buff will be worth bring SP specifically for.

Did humans just get a flat, 2% crit chance regardless of weapon?!?

235

u/LPQ_Master 1d ago

Isnt 2% crit chance like WAY STRONGER than 2% crit dmg on dwarf? Give dwarfs the crit chance, they already underplayed.

21

u/rince89 22h ago

Humans were really struggling, they totally needed the buff

→ More replies (2)

9

u/Moogzie 14h ago

It's obscenely more powerful even before you include any additional synergy from crit (i.e Flurry)

Changes like this really don't fill me with confidence

It really feels to me that they have X Y or Z staff that are assigned a class/spec/race to deal with and balance, but they don't consider the big picture; as this change has obviously been made to alleviate the weapon restriction, but with zero consideration for relative power

I see they don’t look at the Warlock discord

23

u/Select-Landscape-476 1d ago

What's the current issue with warlock out of curiosity? Is it reoccurring QOL issues with soul shards and such or inherent talent pathing or rotational issues?

26

u/TheTeafiend 1d ago

Warlock is pretty chill, maybe could use some destro changes to enforce the shadowflame rotation, but we'll need endgame characters to evaluate that.

→ More replies (1)

9

u/themoosh 23h ago

You have two separate range talents for no reason, all because the devs literally forgot they had nerfed our fear range and now destroy can't bane/drain soul from 36 yds and affliction can't shadow bolt or shadow burn from 36

Plus affliction tree already had too many must have talents and now there's 2 more points needed for range.

Who thought this was a good change? And this is the only change we got.

Don't even get me started that a shadow bolt crits for less than a hunter's auto, even with bane and twinked gear ...

Troll

  • Regeneration: Health regeneration bonuses increased to 20% (was 10%).

And now you can do even less about it.

48

u/Pkock 1d ago

Whale warriors rise up, twice as fast

9

u/Cha0xst0rm 1d ago

Trolls gonna be out healing mobs at this point haha

→ More replies (1)

12

u/jestina123 1d ago

Isn't troll regeneration a noob trap?

At level 60, a 20% health regen bonus translates to roughly 240 HP over an entire minute in combat. For perspective, a single tick of a Heavy Runecloth Bandage heals 250 HP in just one second, making the racial scale incredibly poorly for end-game content

I really want to run troll Warlock, but the numbers don't seem to add up.

16

u/Garresh 1d ago

I mean it's amazing for leveling or grinding. Not gonna prevent eating but even at 60 that can improve uptime depending on class.

the biggest thing is the raid wide buffs.

leader of the pack, Battle Shouts, some totems are now raid wide.

Salvation is also no longer classified as a "blessing", which means one less paladin needed for blessings.

this is pretty great for overall raid composition, less people needed to provide buffs, which means 1/5 of your raid will no longer be shamans alone.

85

u/Doogetma 1d ago

13

u/KniisTwo 1d ago

This kills the elemental and enh shamans who managed to sneak a raid spot due to a shortage of resto shamans.

30

u/LoveConnection 1d ago

Bad for cat druids if there is a bear tank tho

27

u/rcanhestro 1d ago

or bad for bear if you already have a cat.

considering that the default "main" raid is 20 people, if people bring a boomkin and feral it's 1/10 of spots for 1/9 of the classes, a decent balance overall.

Ele Shaman -

  • Nerfed Fire Nova damage and scaling.

  • We lost 3% crit on lightning bolt and Chain Lightning

  • We got earlier Lava Burst, Elemental Mastery returned, and 9 second duration increased on flameshock in return for those nerfs.

Chain lightning is still grief as a spell to cast, the damage was reduced by 75% originally.

Idk, I'm happy we got some changes, but it's still a shit spec. None of this helps the leveling experience, and our favorite ability chain lightning is still not worth casting.

Shame

12

u/Pale-Supermarket3217 1d ago

38

u/Toomanyquestionszs 1d ago

idk if you can say elemental mastery returned. its nothing close to what is was before. tbh it seems like absolute garbage.

'Elemental Mastery: This talent has returned as the new 31-point gold medal talent. Reduces the cast time of Lightning Bolt and Lava Burst by 0.5 seconds and removes the cooldown from Chain Lightning for 15 seconds. 3-minute CD. Lava Burst is pre-requisite.'

They did reduce chain lightning mana cost by 35% which is nice but its still gonna cost a ton of mana. not only that due to the horrible spell coefficient its still gonna do less then a basic lightning bolt on single target. I guess it will be op in the very few scenarios when there are 3 enemies tightly packed together. Idk if it will be worth draining ur mana bar over. maybe im wrong and it will be good but its definitely not the old elemental mastery. there is 0 single target burst in this new flavour

26

u/Ravarix 1d ago

15s of .5s off LBs is a better PvE burst CD than old EM.

→ More replies (2)

15

u/mistergosh 1d ago

It ain’t great, but during those 15 seconds you can UNLIMITED POWER a small group of enemies, and that always feels hype. Somewhat Limited Power

14

u/Mescman 23h ago

Wasn't old EM 100% crit for your next spell. For one spell.

2% crit damage/healing is so boring and sad. Big nerf to raiding cows unless hit rains from everywhere. You need a LOT of crit to make this new racial better than 1% hit, over 40%? With no world buffs this wont be as easy to stack crit.

For non raiding the war stomp cd is pretty great for pvp and 5mans. Mount speed is nice qol, no more crack cows is kinda sad because it made me laugh.

→ More replies (1)

69

u/Crunchybunch00 1d ago

Man turning Blessing of Salvation into a non Blessing is actually so great.

Raidwide buffs and reverting the change that made Windfury and Grace of Air mutually exclusive, sooooooooooooo good.

Splitting Feral/Boomkin aura into melee/caster crit again means there is a reason to bring boomy.

Letting ferals keep cat energy while in bear form with Furor, finally.

Tauren racials getting juicier. But no more A-D spam to get stacks.

Absolutely loving these changes

Don't really like this unless I'm misunderstanding.

Summon Hawk will now correctly cause the Hawk to spawn at the target the spell was cast on.

If they just spawn around people it's a little cheesey.

Auto Shot now requires you to stand still for 0.5 seconds before shooting, matching early versions of World of Warcraft.

Developers’ notes: Your character will still fire Auto Shot while casting spells like Aimed Shot or Sniper Shot.

Does that mean we go back to the whole delay before firing again like in actual classic? or is that something else?

48

u/Metalheadzaid 1d ago

Yes, it was a bug in the first place for wands/auto shot to let you basically move while doing it.

→ More replies (12)

Honestly, are they blind or don't care about player feedback?

Everyone sharing feedback about elemental wants Chain Lightning to be a big hitting spell, not this weak cleaving noodle it currently is.

Devs get it together, bring the old CL back. Base the spec around this spell. We want lightning, not fire.

We really need a very big streamer who plays Shaman. Mage streamers cried their way to a new spell which is basically a R1 frostbolt.

At this point nobody will play Enh Shammy. We are stuck between dps and tank talents but we cant do both efficiently. A Xaryu like Shaman streamer would really help a lot to get the spec fixed.

Will of the forsaken massively nerfed in forever.

Touch of the grave useless now.

Where are the forsaken combat racials? It has none lmao.

24

u/contains_language 1d ago

Yeah 25s internal cooldown? Seems basically completely useless unless I am missing something

Mage

Frost Blast: This new spell is learned at level 24. It deals damage and slows the target's movement by 40%. It has a 1.5 second cast time, and is affected by all talents that affect Frostbolt.

are these devs stoned

edit:

Ice Lance damage against Frozen targets changed to a 200% increase (Was 300%)

I can't dude they really did interpret "triple damage" as a 300% increase

Is the dwarf change a typo? Why 2% crit damage when everyone else gets 2% crit?

45

u/Mineskri 1d ago

Tauren got it too. It's the same racial stat buff both races have in retail.

40

u/misterrpg 1d ago

It really is so hilarious that they just gave us retail racials, like they couldn't come up with anything on their own lol

19

u/mpire 1d ago

I didn't even think there was anything wrong with the 1% hit...

On the non balancing side I’m shocked they haven’t done anything to fix the hundreds of broken quest objects around the world while questing. Moonglade has been shut down for two days because no one is able to loot the relic to get cat form. Are people just like supposed to wait for server resets and hope the item isn’t bricked? I pray they fix stuff like this before launch.

11

u/Kozimix 1d ago

I thought they fixed that a couple weeks ago. I certainly had no issue getting my cat form

It was like that in classic and they had to hotfix it. One person can grief every druid on that layer.

Sadly I didn't see a fix for bags filling from the bottom :(

Hopefully the name plate fixes allow me to see target of target properly, instead of it just showing my name as the last NPC I clicked on.

Take away downranking but make new spells to replace what people were using downranking for. Why did we need to change downranking to begin with? Same goes with resource regen and spell scaling. None of this needed changing to begin with. Make it make sense.

41

u/Cautious_Condition82 1d ago

They want to make the game more intuitive, basically having a new spell do something is more intuitive than having to use a r1 spell.

12

u/Caneofpain 1d ago

that actually makes sense

→ More replies (22)

17

u/FasFas1600 1d ago

It's more new player friendly. Downranking is not very intuitive, while a seperate spell is. Think of it what you will, but i'm certain that's the logic.

What the fuck are these nerfs to paladin? Half damage on cons ticks, champ of the light 30% at max rank from 100% like bro we haven't even got to play with int gear or SP in later levels and the playstyle looks DoA

They nerfed Prot's passive threat gen and now are nerfing their mana gen here too.

What is going on?

59

u/Boethion 1d ago

Meanwhile I guess Mage really needed a rank 1 frostbolt as its own spell for whatever reason, I'm too employed to know why.

u/Brogies9069 1d ago

Seriously, champion of light made me so excited to play ret in PvP and be able to throw off heals at people. We haven’t even gotten to use this talent and every week it gets more and more nerfed??? How are they deciding what to nerf because they certainly aren’t using any data from the beta servers lol

u/IGotMeAMazda3 1d ago

we haven't even got to play with int gear or SP in later levels and the playstyle looks DoA

Like you said, we haven't gotten to play with int gear or SP at later levels. So you have no clue whether its dead or not.

5

u/ElderberryJunior470 19h ago

Prot basically never went oom on beta. Like, you could press buttons all the time and be full mana. I think they're trying to fine tune that a bit.

15

u/hdpr92 1d ago

nerfing Dwarf racials is certainly a choice lmao

Also not rolling shammy any longer sadly. There's 1 resto shammy required for the raid now. I could see the raid wide windfury change coming, but not making it exclusive with grace of air... going to be tough to get a raid spot.

4

u/The_Race_Car 1d ago

Doesn’t the change to Air totem exclusivity make it more likely to bring 2 shammies?

But then looking into the reddit comments bringing me back to 2026 with all that whining about literally everything.
