Post Op Day 10 of ZSR Recovery NSFW Spoiler

I (40y) had my ZSR circumcision 10 days ago due to a tight frenulum, and the recovery seems to be going well so far. However, a few staples have shifted out of position, and a protrusion on the top of the silicone ring is causing significant pinching pain. I also underwent frenuloplasty using the electrocautery method. I’m hoping the silicone ring will fall off on its own sometime this week.

Im a grower and im getting low and tight.
Should I shave or should I just trim?

And one more thing im bringing to Montreal tylenol and polysporn. But is there anything else I should order to have at home, or the scar tape can wait till later?
Should I being an ice pack?

Any tips are welcome?

Im driving 6 hours for the surgery to get cut from dr. Sioufi.

Btw. I never heard about a buried penis, until I booked the surgery. I lost 11lbs so far. Going strong 💪. The fear of it, kicked my ass to clean up my diet and go for 10k step walks every day.

Post Op Frenulum question/concern NSFW Spoiler

Post image
• Upvotes

Hey guys, I got circumcised on May 27th of this year, going on 5 months post op. At my last follow-up in mid July I asked my surgeon if the frenulum would flatten and he said it would. I have been using silicone gel around the incision and on the frenulum twice daily and also been massaging the frenulum to potentially breakup the scar tissue, not sure if its doing anything.

Was wondering if anyone has had this issue and if it does actually flatten over time or am I looking at possibly another surgery?

Question Dr. Bidair Appointment NSFW

I finally scheduled my procedure and decided to go with Dr. Bidair. I have been dealing with Phimosis for over 14 years and it’s gotten to the point where I get constant infections, I have to apply medicine to the outside of my foreskin before I go on walks or I deal with swelling from friction, and over the past year I have been dealing with random cuts that bleed. I’m extremely nervous about having to do the procedure with local anesthesia and being awake during the procedure. Not sure if I’ll get over the fear but I’m locked in now after paying the deposit.

I read a lot on the Reddit site about different styles but I think I’m going to just ask Dr. Bidair to do whatever style he thinks is best for my size and situation. I really don’t know enough about styles, benefits, etc. At this point, I really just want to get rid of these constant infections. Has anyone gone into the procedure and just let the doctor decide on the style and had regrets about not being involved in the decision? Anything I can do to help with the pain from the procedure and injections?

Thank you

Revision How did your revision recovery compare to the initial circumcision recovery? NSFW

I went under the knife about 6 months ago and haven't had any complications, but the initial circumcision left me with a small flap of skin on the underside of my head that I'm not really happy with for aesthetic reasons.

Went to go see a new urologist this week -- someone actually specialized in reconstructive urology instead of a general urologist -- and she seemed pretty confident that it should be an easy fix with a revision.

But as I debate whether or not to go through with the procedure, I was just curious how revision recovery typically differs from the initial circumcision recovery (if at all)

Circ. Clinics + Urologists 2nd revision NSFW

Long post, sorry! I am looking to get a 2nd revision for raised scarring after an initial poorly done procedure. I have been to Dr. Bidair for my first revision, and he did a great job. He fixed my problem everywhere except for the frenulum area, where there is still a fair amount of raised scarring. I haven’t had any comments on it from sexual partners ever but it really does bother me and hurts my confidence. Is there a better doctor I could go to to solve this problem? Should I consult a urologist first? I have heard Dr Cornell is good too, but I have hypertrophic somewhat firm scars from stitches that were too tight on my frenulum, and I am wondering if I might need to seek a doctor more specialized in reconstruction. I am also interested in kenalog or laser treatments, but am unsure where to get those. Thanks!

Question Hey guys a question. NSFW

Hey all so I had my circumcision done 15 days ago on the 5th of October.
I had partial circumcision because I managed to get myself acquired phimosis because I got tear one time on my foreskin and didnt wait for it to heal cause I wanted to you know masturbate. And ended up in a cycle where I would masturbate fuck up the tear more then wait then again and eventually my skin turned into shit and lost elasticity and had to do the circumcision. My urologist said we can do full or we can do partial but I think partial would work cause otherwise your skin is healthy.
And it did. It worked out pretty fine.

In the beginning I was brutally afraid because well they just operated on my thing.
Now 15 days later it looks amazing. All of the stitches are gone, no swelling. Skin looks completely healthy. Nothing bothers me at all. The "weirdness" or like the "pressure" of having a boner passed away like 3 days ago. So no problem with erections aswell.
Thing is I am going to go out of the country for 2 months tomorrow and wont be able to contact my urologist so if its totally needed I am gonna contact another one to ask.

But essentially my question is, should I wait the full 6 week mark before resuming sexual activity or masturbation or am I good to try at the 4th week mark. I could probably suck it up and push up to the 6th week. But what are your opinions?
When did you do it? And what would your advice be for me in that particular situation?

Glans Sensitivity Tips for Reducing Sensitivity NSFW

Hi guys I got circumcised on the 10/15 and wasn’t really bothered by glans sensitivity until yesterday, which was day 4 and today it’s super sensitive. Is there anything that I can do to make it less sensitive? It almost feels like a shooting pain, that’s how sensitive it is. I want to keep the incision wrapped with polysporin for at least the first week if not two. TIA!

Question Is this normal for 15 days post-op? NSFW Spoiler

Question: does this look correct and to be healing?

Concern: I’m worried there is a “gap” that the stitched have not closed.

i have had no aftercare and there is none available until a single telephone consultation in 4 months so I don’t know how else to check. I rang hospital direct as well as NHS111 and was unable to get in-person appointment via either channel.

More context: My op was 15 days ago (NHS in the UK). Surgery was freehand under general anaesthetic and performed to remove problematic restrictive foreskin. the frenulum was removed and surgically glued. The main incision was stitched using disposable stitches.

Pics attached. 1st pic is underside. 2nd pic is topside.

Question Seeking recommendations for a second circumcision revision — scar and contour concerns NSFW

About ten ago, I had a circumcision revision performed by Dr. Bidair to correct a very loose cut. Unfortunately, during the healing process, a small section of the incision on the left side separated. The overall result was disappointing. I was left with an irregular, raised scar around the entire circumference, with particularly noticeable scarring at the sites where he had placed anchor stitches.

I subsequently underwent CO2 laser treatments and Kenalog injections to address the scarring. While these helped improve the contour somewhat, I've ultimately come to the conclusion that I'd like to pursue another revision.

My priorities are achieving the flattest, least noticeable scar possible and a smooth, natural-looking contour.

I'm open to returning to Dr. Bidair, but understandably have some reservations given my first experience. I've also been considering Dr. Alter, although he appears to use a similar closure technique, and I'm not sure I'd get a significantly different result. Dr. Cornell, based on the photos I've shared with him, doesn't seem particularly interested in taking on the case.

I'd really appreciate recommendations for other surgeons worth consulting, particularly those with experience correcting irregular or raised circumcision scars. I'm also interested in whether certain closure techniques might offer a better chance of achieving a fine, flat scar.

Has anyone been through something similar or had a successful revision specifically to improve scar quality and contour?

Post Op Can't explain. NSFW

It has been four and a half months since my surgery. The texture of my glans has changed, as expected. It has become somewhat wrinkled, almost as if it has undergone keratinization, but I don’t think the sensitivity has decreased. At least, I still experience daily discomfort.
I’ve also noticed that the right side of my glans is more desensitized than the left. Another thing I’ve observed is that it is less sensitive during an erection, and I can run my hand over it without much discomfort. However, when it is flaccid, even touching it can cause mild pain.
Yesterday, I tried wearing relatively loose, thin underwear, but I quickly realized that I’m not ready for it yet.
Urologists have advised me not to avoid contact with the glans. I’ve been following this advice since the very first day and have been trying to get used to it. For the past week, I’ve also deliberately started exposing the glans to rougher contact with my hand and even directing a stream of water at it, with breaks in between. This seems to have helped somewhat, but I can’t say for sure whether it’s actual progress. However, these actions have clearly changed its appearance, making it noticeably more wrinkled.
I’ve also noticed that it is less sensitive when dry. When it is moist and sticky, touching it with my hand causes discomfort.
In short, I’ve tried to explain everything in as much detail as possible because the urologists in my country don’t seem to know what else to do. We can treat cancer in this day and age, yet is there really no solution to this problem?
The urologists keep telling me that I just need to give it time, but I see posts in this group from people who have been dealing with this problem for years. If I could feel that I was making progress and be confident that everything would be resolved within a year, I wouldn’t be worried at all.
I want to get back to an active lifestyle. I used to train in boxing, but I experience discomfort not only when running but even when walking.
