our Jasper, aka Jasperoo š
We lost our sweet boy Tuesday. Iām absolutely shattered. We adopted him from the shelter and he was thought to be 3 ish at the time. We had him 10 years so he was at least 13 years old. He passed away in his sleep. We had been dealing with his sundowners for the past 8 months⦠5 pm on he would bark all night long and it was so frustrating⦠now itās eerily quiet. I miss his sweet face. This picture was just last Friday morning š

Seeking rescue for Kobe, 10 year old chow in Jax, Florida
š¾ Seeking a Loving Forever Home for Kobe
Meet Kobe! ā¤ļø Kobe is a 10-year-old Chow Chow mix weighing approximately 45 pounds, and heās looking for a loving forever home to spend his golden years.
Kobe has a big personality and an even bigger heart. Having grown up around a tiny Yorkie and a cat, he sometimes seems to think heās one of the little guys himself! Heās also great with young children and can be a surprisingly gentle, lovable companion.
Kobe takes his job as a guard dog very seriously. No matter what house heās in, he immediately goes on duty to make sure everything is in order. His security routine mostly consists of barking and acting tough, but underneath that intimidating exterior is a total softie. š Heās generally comfortable around women and children, while he can be a little suspicious of men at first, especially those wearing hats. However, once he realizes someone is a friend and not a threat, he usually warms up pretty quickly.
One important thing to know about Kobe is that he absolutely hates being confined in a kennel and will definitely let you know how unhappy he is about it! Finding a home where he wonāt need to spend extended periods in a kennel is one of my biggest priorities.
Kobe deserves a home where he can feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Iām hoping to find someone who will appreciate his quirky personality, respect his needs, and give him the love and stability he deserves in his senior years.
Rehoming him is not an easy decision, and my biggest wish is to find the right person or family who will treat him like a member of the family. ā¤ļø
If you think you could give Kobe the loving forever home he deserves, please reach out. I want to make sure his next home is truly the right fit for him.

Help! Vet help.
My vet said there is nothing wrong in this x-ray. But, I want to cross check it with some other vet. So, if you know any vet who just look at this x-ray and see if anything wrong with my dog. He had been limping in right hind leg for past 4-5 days. And, yesterday, he almost gave up putting any pressure on his right hind leg. He just stands on rest three legs.

Help! My boy gets extremely vocal when he sees my Maltese play with a toy
I've read lightly about resource guarding but I wanted to get more advice maybe specific to my situation. I have a half Chow half Frenchie 11-month old boy and he gets, I would say, extremely upset when he sees our baby girl (a significantly smaller Maltese) play.
We try to give them toys at the same time but he only wants what my girl plays with and when we exchange toys, he won't have it. Basically, looks like he wants everything the Maltese plays with.
And that's just not okay. For now, I remove toy completely but they get so antsy at times and they need to spend their energy especially after a long nap.
For more context, they have their own side of the house and they are not free most of the day. Reason? My Chow-Frenchie boy is too strong for our little girl that even playing looks and feels dangerous. Plus my Maltese seems like she's always mad at him š it's always a 19kg vs almost 4kg fight in this house

2 bonded chow chows still searching for their new home together.
TWO CHOW CHOWS. ONE HEART. MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER.
These 2 chow chows are currently residing in a foster home with another chow chow. They were saved from ACS and placed in a rescue until they find their forever home. Could that home be yours?

Help! Hip dysplasia urgency advice needed
Vet is 12 hours away, so asking her for advice for meantime.
My male chow, just more than 3 years old, is not able to put pressure on his right hind leg. As soon as he stands and touches floor, he immediately lifts his right hind leg. But, while laying, he is consistently lying on his right side itself putting all body weight on the same leg. He was limping for past 2 days, but from today, he has completely stopped standing and had to force him stand on three legs for peeing. While lying, i checked his paw, slided my hands all over his right hind leg to check for fractures but he showed no signs of pain or discomfort. Tried to movie his knee, paw, hip but again he is showing no sign of discomfort in mobility of his leg.
Yet as soon as he tries to stand, his right hind leg almost gives up and had to make him stand with three legs itself. Also, he is not eating or drinking water. No clue what has happened to him. I guess it's hip dysplasia but can only confirm after 12 hours once the vet arrives.
What should I do for now, about eating and drinking, and taking him for toilet or walks ?
