I live in the US and have thought about taking a trip to Canada to legally pick up some kind of Xiaomi fold, but I was wondering if any service provider would actually work with these phones? If 1st it would actually work with the hardware, but second if any company could legally or willingly provide service for it?

I've had my Vivo X200 pro global version for about a year and a half. It currently runs on Funtouch 15 and as of last November 2025 it's been notifying me to update to OriginOs 6. I know it's a long ass time to not update. Haha. The reason why I've waited so long to update is because I'm low-key scared of having issues such as the battery draining quickly, lagging, photo image quality loss, etc. I'm on the verge of just going through with it and allowing the update. But I've been hearing that OriginOs 7 is extremely buggy and terrible. Can y'all give me any insights on your overall experience switching from Funtouch to origin? Particularly for any Vivo x200 pro global version users out there. I'd greatly appreciate any insight. The good, the bad, and the in between. Thanks everyone 🙏

How painful is it to update the ROM to be the global vs Chinese ROM. I purchased it used and the app store and other areas are defaulting to Chinese language. I found the English language ROM on the RedMagic website and I'm wondering if using it will "break" the tablet?

I'm thinking of going towards Xiaomi and Oppo, Especially thier latest flagship models. They will soon release the global versions and I would like to get it on installment plan if possible. But I'm really confused on how exactly I should go on about that as the carriers here only showcase Iphones, samsung, and a select few. Anyone has any good advice for me? Thanks!

Were you able to install the native language on it? Where did you purchase it from, such as a site: wondamobile, trading, etc. How long did it take? Did your order arrive? I am thinking about buying Z fold 8 from them. On their listing it mentions 1 yr official India warranty. I have read other posts where people are worried about devices being imported and having warranty issue. Does anyone have any recent experience with phone purchase from them? I asked them on whatsapp about all this. They say these are indian devices they dont import Fold phones, to which I asked is it possible to inspect the deivce in their Mumbai shop before buying and how do you manage such less price if its Indian devices but the sales person hasn't answered yet. So I am bit unsure about this.
