I was on the metro today and this girl approached me to compliment my fit, but we were boarding different trains and I had to rush to mine first, her initials were GK (not revealing her name online obv) but yeah I should've asked her socials, I realised a little too late that I hadn't
Edit: These comments have proved to me that men can't believe it when another guy just wants a friendship with a girl, we talked for a good 5 minutes while walking to the concourse and I kind of rushed away from the conversation, she was engaging in it too, and I found it disrespectful to just leave like that, and I don't want to be a creep and find her socials myself which I easily could, instead I made this post to let her know that I would talk again if I got the chance. And no, not for a relationship.
I recently had to part ways with my lover because of religious differences which we both knew would seriously affect our future, and I would never get in a relationship with a girl of different faith again and would choose my love over any girl of that sort, friendships exist and it's not always supposed to end in something more.
And if this girl was to take this into a more serious relationship, more than friends that is, I would say no 100%. If that's too hard to believe, then it's your mindset.

Only complaining about current govt.
I like both govt, past and present. It’s just that sub is acting in one sided. Should be neutral ground for all criticism, so that it helps in welfare of our city.

Also it didn't even have a rack for luggage, plus it stopped at some stations whose construction is still not completed such as Virugambakkam for example.
I travelled from Iyyapanthangal to Vadapalani in it today for the first time and this is my review. A good addition to the city but needs further improvement and should be more faster, the previous metro route trains move faster than this route metro train.
Also it should be operated until 11 PM just like the other routes.

Hey guys! ❤️
A little update on my previous post!
I made a post here a while ago about going through a rough phase of life and wanting to meet some new people. Surprisingly, quite a few people DM'd me, so I created a group where we could all talk, make friends, share memes, and have fun together. 🥹❤️
We're around 10 strangers in the group now, but everyone's so quiet that it feels like we gathered for a silent meditation session instead of making friends. 😭💀
So, I'm looking for a few more people who are active, friendly, and genuinely interested in talking and making new friends.
You don't have to be an extrovert or the funniest person alive. Even if you're shy at first, that's completely fine! We can talk about random stuff, share memes, discuss life, make jokes, or just be there for each other on difficult days.
If you're feeling lonely, looking for new friends, or simply want a place to hang out and yap with people, you're welcome! 🫂
If you'd like to join, just DM me saying “Add me to the group!” 😂
Let's turn this group from a collection of silent strangers into a bunch of friends who regret meeting each other because of our terrible jokes. 💀😂❤️

Hello everyone!
29F introvert here, looking to make some girlfriends (platonic female friends) to go on coffee dates, hangout, or anything under the sun.
Little bit about me: I have social anxiety and am looking to make a female community for myself. I love coffee and brainrot content. I love to crochet (as you can see from my profile) and want to get more into sporty recreational activities. I enjoy one on one conversations and music.
Amazing listener but can give you delulu advice, i will be the wind beneath your wings (modern family reference) i recently started going out of my comfort zone and am pushing myself to try new things, would love it if you can push me in that direction.
I am hyper independent and love supporting the people i love, and i wish that the women i connect with can resonate the same.
We are all here in the pale blue dot for a short time, lets make the most of it💜

Earlier almost everyone used to wash and decorate their vehicles as people lived in individual houses and had water and family members and all, but from past years in our flat itself i hardly see 3-4 vehicles decorated for dusshera / vijaya dashmi . Even i stopped deep cleaning at home and just dust it with duster and apply sandanam. For me its like doing regular maintenance and servicing of vehicles more than the one day ritual which maybe could be reminder for people to actually get their vehicles serviced from time to time. if you stopped washing your vehicles what could be reason? same as mine?

Something I've been thinking about lately. Why do we care so much about how much a movie collects at the box office? Every time a big star's movie releases, the discussion somehow becomes more about collections than the actual movie. Opening day records, first weekend numbers, 500 crore, 1000 crore, hit or flop… it's never ending.
I get that box office numbers matter to the people involved in making and distributing a movie. But as an audience, why do we take it so personally? I've seen fans celebrate a star's box office collections like they've personally made that money, and others desperately waiting for another star's movie to fail.
At the end of the day, we're just people who watch movies, right? Whether a film collects 100 crores or 1000 crores, how does it actually affect our lives? If I like a movie, I'll like it regardless of how much it earns. And if I think it's bad, no amount of box office records is going to change my opinion.
Somewhere along the way, I feel like we've started treating cinema as a competition between fan bases rather than something to enjoy.
Am I the only one who feels we've become more obsessed with the business of movies than the movies themselves?

Morning jailer 2 bsr mall la ponen. Padamey 20mins ads ku aprom dhaan start aachu, but people in the row behind me came 15 minutes after that (ofc with the brightest torches). Apro phone ah silent laye podala, like 3 people who came together were getting calls throughout the movie, atleast 5-6 calls. Nadula avangalla oruthar yt shorts vera scroll panna aaramichtanga with like 50% volume (louder than the movie dialogue somehow). After I told them to pl put the phone on silent I got stink-eye as well. Idk is it too much to ask to be detached from your mobile or atleast use it in a way that doesn't disturb others during those 2-3 hours?

Beyond words, beyond how us humans here represent ourselves in 2D space; Neurodivergence is an entirely different dimension, a different set of operations compared to neurotypicals.
I'm 26, Salem–Chennai. I discovered my AuDHD just two months ago. I quit my Electrical Design Engineering job two and half months back because of how taxing and severely incompatible I was. My autistic working style, and my inability to fit in with the workplace. My assumption was, "It's the workplace problem". A part of me still feels like it's a me-problem, and the guilt sits heavily. For the past two weeks, it feels my mental floor has shifted and vanished to me, and now I'm in this dark, incomprehensible episode.
India is severely compromised when it comes to acknowledging neurodivergence. Even the National Mental Helpline bot asks you depression screening questions and calls it a day. Everyone here carries the stigma that pharmacology and therapy are moral failure and western indulgence, and endurance is virtue, stoicism is strength. Thought I'd just vent here because it feels hopeless at 2:57AM.
Is there anyone here in the sub who received proper acknowledgement and care?

Ford service centres are closed in Chennai, at least the one that I used to go. How are you planning for the regular maintenance of your vehicles ? Any recommendations for FNG for Ford vehicle service and spare parts ?

Hi guys,
I’m coming to Chennai for a quick professional visit, and am a huge fan of parotta. Having watched Dorothy 5 times, I’m craving Madurai style parotta that’s served with salna and chukka.
I’m planning to travel from the airport to my stay in thousand lights using metro. So could you please give food ideas for:
Today’s lunch
Tonight’s dinner
Tomorrow’s dinner (just before boarding my return flight)

Hey everyone,
I'm looking to explore unique, lesser-known locations across Chennai that look great on camera, have a distinct vibe, or carry interesting local history. Definitely skipping the usual mainstream spots (Marina, Besant Nagar, Mahabs, etc.).
A few specific vibes I want to find:
What are your favorite underrated spots in or around the city? Would love to hear your suggestions!

Guys I need some help figuring out what's wrong with my TV.
My TV was working perfectly fine this morning, but a few minutes ago, the display suddenly turned out like this. The screen is no longer displaying properly, but the speakers are still working fine, and I can hear the sound without any issues.
I already had a minor issue with lines along the four edges of the screen, but they were barely noticeable, so I didn't really mind them....but this new problem happened all of a sudden.
Does anyone know what might be causing this? Could it be an issue with the display panel, T-Con board, or backlight? Is there any chance of fixing it without replacing the entire screen?
Any suggestions or advice would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!
