Housing and Apartments Would anyone want a private studio in Princeton, MA?
We currently live in Worcester and are trying to gauge interest and fair rent.
We are in the process of buying a house in Princeton (near Wachusett) that has a separate studio apartment. Before we decide whether to rent it long-term, I'd like to know if there's real demand.
The basics:
- Private entrance via a deck
- Its own kitchen and full bath
- Shared laundry with the main house
- Quiet, wooded, rural setting on 5 acres, so a car is probably a must
- it about 25 min to and from Worcester, very close to Wachusett Mountain
My questions:
? Would you consider living out here, or is the location a deal breaker?
? What monthly rent seems fair? I'm thinking $1,400–1,700 with all utilities included. Too high or too low?
Nothing is available yet. I'm just doing my homework.
If you'd want to hear when it's available (expected mid-December), drop your info here:
Thanks!

Discussion Where can people actually find a bathroom around Central MA?
Kind of a random question, but has anybody else had trouble finding somewhere to use the bathroom when they're out walking, driving around, or just away from home?
I've run into this problem quite a few times myself, especially when I'm out walking a few miles from home. You'd think finding a bathroom would be simple, but sometimes it's surprisingly difficult.
I actually started building a free project called Bathroom Finder because of it. I'm trying to put together a useful list of bathrooms around Central MA, including Fitchburg, Leominster, Gardner, Worcester, and the surrounding towns.
I'm especially interested in places where anybody can use the restroom without buying something, but places with restrictions are worth listing too. I'd rather people know beforehand if they need to be a customer, ask for a key, or make a purchase.
If you know of any bathrooms around the area, I'd really appreciate hearing about them. Parks, stores, libraries, public buildings, whatever. Even better if you've personally used one recently and know what the access situation is.
I'm collecting and reviewing reports here if anybody wants to contribute:

It's still early, but I'm hoping to make something genuinely useful for people around here. Nobody should have to cut a walk short or panic because they can't find somewhere to go.

Northern Worcester County How are you guys getting to Logan?
We are new to north central ma (like Fitchburg area) from the metrowest and traveling soon. How are you guys getting to Logan the fastest without paying to park at Logan? The Logan express in Framingham and Woburn feel so out of the way but transport by like shuttles is so expensive! Any insights are appreciated!!

Housing and Apartments Furnished Short Term Rental in the Worcester Area
This might be a long shot based on my research so far, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask!
I'm a medical student completing a rotation at UMass Medical School in Worcester from mid-November to mid-December. I've been scouring the internet trying to find a reasonably priced, furnished short-term rental for the duration of my stay, but haven't had much luck. I'll be traveling with my wife, who works remotely, so ideally we're looking for a private space, such as a studio, one-bedroom apartment, or in-law suite. We'd also be open to a private bedroom with an ensuite bathroom if necessary.
Does anyone know of any apartment complexes in the area that offer short-term furnished rentals, or perhaps any private landlords who might be willing to accommodate a one-month stay?
I'd really appreciate any recommendations, leads, or suggestions you might have. Thank you so much in advance!

Education Blackstone, Millville to vote on $197M high school project
In late August, the Massachusetts School Building Authority announced that the district could receive up to $76.8 million toward the project’s costs. The total price tag — including soft costs and contingencies — is projected at $197,248,502. This will be the amount that will appear on the election ballot.
