What do boxers do on the day of their fight?
Serious question, when a boxer is fighting at say 10pm what do they do all day before? Must be hard trying to stay in the right mindset but keeping relaxed, eating the right foods, resting but not being too quiet all day.
I’m genuinely interested.

Ryan Garcia vs Adrien Broner argue over Gervonta Davis Fight
Has Tim Bradley Become an Overly Negative Commentator?
I’m not sure if it’s just me, my imagination, and/or possibly seeing a non-representative sample of his commentary, but it seems like Tim Bradley has gone super negative in recent times. It feels like he calls out fighters’ weaknesses and ducking constantly and more so than any other commentator, while not speaking on their positives. Every video I see feels like a harsh critique of someone or some situation.
I have mixed feelings about it. OTOH, it’s refreshing! No sucking up and favoring guys‘ carefully cultivated self-narratives for the sake of media access. Tim’s independently wealthy, doesn’t need a job, and can tell the truth!
OTOH, it seems like that’s all I see from Tim. Or, maybe my media feeds promote those videos to me - LOL - because I watched a bunch. I dunno. 🤷♂️ I think TB’s a very astute observer of the fight game and would love to hear more technical analysis (like so and so fighter holds his right hand too low and constantly is open for a cross in such and such situation, etc.) from him and balanced positives.
Overall, I respect his voice. Just wondering if it’s gotten too negative lately is all.

Dmitry Bivol defeated Callum Smith in the amateurs at the Bocskai Memorial Tournament in 2012. Now they're slated to fight in the pros on December 12th.
instagram.com📆 February 2012, Hungary.
On the top of the pedestal - young Dmitry Bivol u/bivol_d. He becomes the winner of the prestigious international amateur Bocskai Memorial Tournament (Ishtwan Bochkai Memorial), winning gold in the 75 kg weight category.
But one of the most remarkable episodes of the tournament was the quarterfinals. Then, a 22-year-old Liverpool native Callum Smith stepped into the ring against a promising Russian boxer. Their first meeting ended with a confident victory of Dmitry with a score of 11:7.
Back then, it was just one of the duels on the way to a big career. Today is a story that gets to be continued.
After almost 14 years, Bivol and Smith will meet again in the ring, but now already in the star status of world boxing. Behind Dmitry are the WBA Super, IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring magazine championship titles. Smith, in his turn, won the WBA and The Ring in the second middleweight titles.
🔜 Their paths will cross again in Yekaterinburg on December 12. This time there is not a victory in an amateur tournament at stake, but a new stage in the history of the confrontation between two renowned professional boxers.
