I started forming some pads into this serissa about a month ago. However, the bottom right pad has HUGE leaves compared to the rest of the plant. Any idea why?

I got this tree from a nursery, it was on clearance (paid £18, half price). I have read and seen videos about this species, but have no experience at al.
It had a lot of browning sitting over the trunk that I removed.
What I would like to know is:
Does the tree look healthy overall?
Should I move it to a bigger pot or growing bag? If so when? I can’t put it in the ground.
What branches are interesting to keep? Definitely haven’t decided which style should I go for, would love any suggestions
Based in south England
(Portuguese is my first language so I am still getting used to the technical vocabulary)
Thank you

Got this from a local here in Indonesia.
Height 30cm
Length 70cm
Trunk 38cm
The only thing miss from this Premna is its branch. The size doesn't match its big trunk, but that's where I can work on. Still love it overall.

Hi everyone! I'm new to bonsai and would appreciate some advice. My bonsai is growing well, but several branches are getting longer. Should I prune them now, cut them back, or let them grow for a while?
I am attaching multiple photos from different angles. Any suggestions on how to maintain and shape my bonsai would be appreciated. Thanks!

Has anyone grafted heaps of different Japanese maple types onto one plant for bonsai? I think it would look cool but can't find an example

Just brought home this Salix Purpurea nana. The trunk isn't perfect but at $12 it spoke to me. Anyone have styling suggestions for next year?

So, my mom apparently has some type of cedar, she didnt know type so maybe i need to get some pictures first. She has had it for maybe 8 years total, but currently 5 years in the same spot. It seems quite healthy, and she is willing to let me take it.
So the question. It is in a terracotta pot. It has grown through the pot, into the soil. Quite firmly.
Fairly sure the best practice would be to just take a pruning saw to the bottom of the pot, and then repot next season.
Still a beginner though, and definitely havent dealt with anything like this. Anybody got some advice?

Heres to the "inside bonsai" peeps. Royal poinciana, 2 ft from a SW facing full length window, under a 40W light. Every one of them etoilating. Goes to show how little light you get inside.
This is 1 month after bringing my tropical trees inside until the warmth of spring. These seedlings are all from June '25, Delonix regia, Acacia senegal, Jacaranda mimosafolia ( from sheffeilds seeds). They are experimental but its also not their first fall>winter indoors. Theyre definitely LESS grumpy about it than last season. Still dramatic if you ask me

Last year I cut this back and wired it but its taken off. Any advise on how far back to trim and rewire this bonsai? It definitely needs a smaller pot and is about 3 feet tall. Thank you!

This is the best 20 dollars I've spent in quite some time. Minimal wiring should be required next summer to separate the pads, and one more year of maturing. This may be my first proper tree in a few years.

Update: im in zone 6b/7a!
I’m thinking of getting one of those cute lil junipers to work on for the next few years.
I see from posts here that I need to keep it outside (I think I have the perfect spot for that) but I just wanted to vent some paranoia in the form a question:
Can it really survive outside in the winter while potted? The roots won’t freeze through the pot? It freezes and ices here. I just thought potted plants were more vulnerable to freezing, including ones like these.

I’ll be keeping this bonsai on my porch which receives around 3-4 hours of direct sunlight, mainly during the late afternoon.
